Fantastic experience: Cannot fault the service today. Tooth broke at lunchtime, they found me a slot that day and the extraction was done professionally, carefully and painlessly. Both dentist and dental assistant were lovely, plus appreciated the stress ball too!

Negative experience: I went to Lumino Palmerston North Denist, and had asked for Coporate discount as per their website and benefits through our job. As you know the cost in NZ are incredible high so I had asked on 4 separate times for the discount and was told no and was declined because the Receptionist said that they have updated their information and our company wasn't on the list. I came to find out this wasn't the case. This Receptionist out in out lied to my face. I left the building mystified questioning if there was a clause that I had missed, again I researched our work information and the Lumino Website and yes there it was, we were entitled. Finally I rang and left a message on the phone querying that Receptionist information. There was no return phone call. So I rang again she answered, I then asked to speak with the manager and then there was a change in her tune. Finally I was able to get the discount. On payment she said in a sarcastic tone "are you happy now?" I said in reply " I shouldn't have gone to our head office in querying our company team benefit when it wasn't an issue." she replied with "well lest it sorted now" So now I have let everyone that I know not to go to Lumino Palmerston North. Petty because the denist are terrific and very professionalism is 2nd to none. The amount of pain that I was in unbearable and to the point I couldn't talk, from the infection. And without this dentist excellent skills in removing my infected tooth I would ended up in hospital.

Negative experience: *what was your message? i didn't get it Lied. Dentist stated I needed all these fillings.I couldn't get in before Christmas so I booked in with another Lumino out of town to retain my plan. I had felt no xray was done of the tooth in pain. It was confirmed with me by the out of town dentist that that tooth was missed in the scan, AND that I didn't need any fillings at all and that was just my sinuses causing pain as she could see that on the scan. All these years later.. No issues.go here if you want to be ripped off and have worse teeth than when you left.

Negative experience: I had been a patient of this practice for over ten years. Unfortunately, due to high staff turnover, the service levels have reduced to an unacceptable level (they never answer the phone). My replacement dentist has undesirable chair-side manner, so I've decided to go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Imran was amazing, highly knowledgeable and experienced. Reception staff welcoming and made booking a breeze. Highly recommend

Negative experience: I was going to be a new customer, I booked 2 appointments a month ago. The first was rescheduled before my dentist returned from her holiday and now the day before my 2nd appointment they try and reschedule that. I said no and she still tried to rebook me and didn’t care. I made plans and booked time off work for this. Thanks for wasting my time. I do not recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Hala is an amazing and persistent dentist She goes above and beyond to make sure the patient is informed of the procedure and also makes sure the patient is okay throughout the entire thing. She also helped me out when I had a medical accident and made sure thr doctors took care of me

Fantastic experience: Have had only good experiences here and would recommend coming. Need to book in again as it has been a while. The dentist who assisted my now 7 year old autistic son was amazing as well when he required an extraction due to a previous injury. I was so freaked out as a parent yet relieved to see it all go smoothly

Negative experience: They canceled my appointment three times just 10 minutes before. No respect to people they don't care you get off from work or .. just selfish

Fantastic experience: I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful the people here are. Compassion, kindness, intelligence, discretion and top notch, pain free dentistry. I have a complex health issue that they have accommodated with ease and like it's the normal thing to do. Fabulous. 4 years later and I wouldn't trust anyone else more with my teeth than Hala. Incredible.

Negative experience: Do not recommend unfortunately. I booked in December concerned about my gums and the earliest they could give me an appointment was February- I wanted a clean but the first appointment needed to be a new customer one. I arrived for this appointment and was told that it was never written down and sent home even though I had left work early to make the appointment. When I arrived home they rang me and asked if I was Daniel and why I was late for my appointment and I said I am Danielle and was just there are you sent me home, so frustrating! When I finally had that appointment the dentist was very rude and blunt. I then paid for that and booked my cleaning appointment which was cancelled a few days before. I have now just received contact that my appointment is cancelled again, it is April now. I understand that Covid affects things but not once has anyone tried to bump me up a list.

Fantastic experience: Went for a consult and wow great service professional kind and understanding great senior rates and discounts best dentist I've seen.

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience at Lunimo Palmerston North. All of the staff, from the receptionist and hygienist to the dentist and his dental assistant were extremely friendly and professional. They were very reassuring in their approach and made what can be a potentially stressful situation a very positive one. I would highly recommend their services.

Negative experience: Unable to perform the service of which they are in, $75 for a 5 minute conversation. I do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Being a person who has had bad experiences with dentists and feeling a lot of the pain, Hala was the bees knees. Other than those buggers of needles I have to get stabbed with to make it pain free, I sit back, throw on some headphones and listen to a movie. Wouldn't say they are cheapest dentists but Id take service over price any day. Hala is like my fairy godmother of teeth, she waves some s%*t about with wand-like tools, though a little more grisly sounding, makes the pain go away all the while keeping a smile on her face. I can honestly say, my teeth are nothing to smile about, I could single handedly keep them employed with my disaster mouth. Theres more highlights on her chart than there are on my study notes. She could say with some certainty "see you soon" and wouldn't be wrong, Im like the gift that keeps on giving. I kind of have a reverse subscription, I pay money for things to get taken away, pain and parts of my teeth (albeit, the worst parts). Aside from this waffle, I'd just like to say, yeah check em out, Ive only used Hala as my dentist at Lumino, but based on herself, and her assistants, Im pretty confident in recommending her. Good team, good service, and the new filling stuff on teeth has an interesting smell if anyones interested to know.

Negative experience: Went here to have my teeth fixed for my wedding. My biggest concerns was that I had 2 gaps in my top half (very noticeable at the front) they decided to fix a chip that was in my two front teeth which didn't even bother me as I'd rather have a small chip than 2 gaps which was right next to it. Was told she was going to fill it, instead she filed my front 2 teeth to where they don't even look like they belong in my mouth anymore as they're extremely short. Then tried to save a tooth by doing a root canal, there's was no way they could save that tooth as it was pretty much just the root but then also charged me to have it extracted the same day. I don't see why I needed to pay for root canal on a tooth they were gonna have to extract anyways cause it was so far gone. I was quoted $2000 for my whole top half to be fixed and it was $2000 and I've still got gaps. Had to then go to another dentist cause luminos couldn't even achieve what they promised so I'm now forking out another $850.00 to get a plate made. Not happy with the service I feel very ripped off and if you can't do what I've asked then don't start doing what you want cause it's more expensive. Hopefully I can get married without gaps in my mouth because you left it too late to get sorted and promised something you couldn't deliver on. Also don't know how you quoted me for 4 teeth to be done and it was gonna be $2000 and it's actually worked out to be $2850. Go here if your looking to be ripped off and not get what you asked for. One of the biggest dentist scammers in Palmerston North. Would have given you no stars but they don't have that option

Negative experience: Went here and got told I needed 4 fillings and the sore tooth I had was a large hole. I didn't believe I could need that much work and to be charged $220 for the large fillings as well as the two small fillings . Decided to go a previous dentist in Palmy I had been to before for a second opinion to be told I one had ONE small filling and was charged $120 for it to be fixed . The sore tooth I had as from me brushing that tooth too much and had exposed the root which is now a simple fix with using toothpaste as an ointment so where was the large hole I had in that tooth and the other two non exsistant holes ? Very disappointed.clearly a money making place to tell patients they have something wrong when they don't .I am so glad I went elsewhere or I would of wasted $1000 on work I didn't need doing . Actually looking at taking this further -it is not right .I paid $69 for a check up and x-ray only to be lied to . Edited to say what refund ??? I never got refunded the x-ray and consultation that I wasted my money on . I got my $300 back that I deposited down to get my teeth fixed when I got told I had 4 fillings .I used this money to go to another dentist to be told the truth that I required only ONE filling and that one filling cost me $120 so what refund you are on about I don't know . How can you have dentists in there that are making stories up telling people they need work and they don't-take a look at yourselves and stop stealing people's money

Negative experience: Very disappointed as my partner booked a hygienist appointment over a month in advance which he needed before moving overseas, only to turn up and be told that their policy has changed and now you have to see a dentist within a certain number of months before being allowed to see a hygienist. We were not even told this before turning up at the appointment. A huge waste of time as we had to work our time around going to this appointment and have obviously not booked another appointment elsewhere, so now he may not be able to see a dentist or hygienist before leaving the country as there are long wait lists everywhere! Even still I see that the booking form online does not advise of this, so I am sure other people have experienced the same thing. Very frustrating. Edit: although the owner has replied to this saying they are trying to contact my partner, they have not done so. They have his phone number yet he hasn't received any communication from them. Also, we have tried to call them numerous times throughout today and no one has been picking up.

Negative experience: Two of my bottom teeth that have had a root canal about 12 month ago have collapsed in an now my nerves are exposed to anything and everything that goes in my mouth. One of my damaged tooth is that sharp that it's like having a razor blade in my mouth.. I am not asking for anymore extractions because I'll have no teeth in the back of my jaw to chew on solid foods. I am a unfortunate customer which I am paying off my current dental bill but don't want to be paying for the stuff ups that have occurred.

Fantastic experience: My son attended Lumino in Palmerston North last week for some dental treatment. Due to being on the autisitic spectrum he can be highly anxious. The staff at Lumino were so kind and gentle and the dentist Imran treated my son with great respect and kindness. Thankyou all

Fantastic experience: Two separate visits to Lumino PN. If the first hadn’t gone well, there wouldn’t have been a second. Both exceeded expectations. Both went better than I dared hope. Both involved quite complex work which was explained carefully, and I was offered the option of a second opinion. I didn’t need it. I trusted my dentist to know her trade and was not wrong. The work was done quickly and sensitively, not to mention it was virtually painless, and completely fear-free. Highly recommended.
