He takes the time to explain the best treatment options so you feel well informed and included in any decision making. The dental hygienists there are also excellent. I highly recommend Lumino Courtney Place to anyone looking for top-quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: Another great dental experience today at Lumino Courtney Place Wgtn with Kira who is an amazing Dental Hygienist. Of which I am seeing and feeling great results in my teeth and gum health. Andrea is my Dentist who is very experienced, she listens and then explains thoroughly the plan forward. I have been a customer for ten years now, and moving two years ago to the Kapiti Coast we both still travel in, because the dental service and customer care from reception right through has always been top level.

Fantastic experience: Recently had a dental hygiene appointment with Alaina at Lumino Courtney Place. Could not recommend highly enough. Alaina's work is impeccable and my teeth are sparkling clean and gums healthy! Alaina is super professional and made me feel relaxed throughout the appointment with their calm, patient and very friendly manner. Everything is explained and communicated clearly and questions answered comprehensively. Would highly recommend!

His expertise along with the lovely reception staff are by far the best in the game, and the overall experience was/is the best I've experienced from any dental practice I've been to. I know where I am going to for the foreseeable future!

Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Lumino Dentist Courtenay Place enough for all general dentist needs and also for Invisalign treatment. I was always very self-conscious about my teeth and when I first met with James to talk about getting Invisalign treatment he put me completely at ease and understood exactly what I wanted. Over the course of the treatment, he was a true perfectionist and went above and beyond to ensure I was completely happy with the outcome. I have never looked back, he's given me my smile back. My only regret is that I didn't have my Invisalign treatment with James sooner! The whole team are not only passionate about what they do but they go the extra mile to make you feel at ease. Before becoming a patient at Lumino I was never good at going to the dentist regularly but the team recommended a great plan that was perfect for what I needed. My teeth have never looked or felt so good!

Fantastic experience: always a pleasure to come into the practice, and to see james who is currently doing my invisalign treatment and happily answers any questions i have during the treatment (plus they do afterpay which makes going for general checks much easier to afford)

Negative experience: I have been going to (formally Symes de Silva) this dentist for over 20 years. This morning I had an accident which left the inside of my mouth bleeding and in pain and went into my dentist. Saying I was bleeding and in pain I was told the next available was 5 hours away. Asking if someone could have a quick 5 min look I was told it was not possible. This is not ok.

Fantastic experience: Can't rate Joo highly enough! She explains everything so thoroughly and I always leave feeling confident in where my teeth are at. Also found Emma to be a great hygienist, she even got me flossing on the regular!

Negative experience: Staff were good however poor communication ruined my experience. I was given a quote for the 3 appointments that were required. I was hit with a surprise price increase on my hygienist appointment. After seeing the hygienist I was told to come back for another appointment so they could finish the clean, when I was under the impression I was getting a full clean. This extra session was going to cost $250 taking the price to over double what I was quoted. Very disappointed by this experience.

Fantastic experience: Attended Lumino Courtney Place Dental to enquire about Invisalign but I also wanted to get better with my dental care routine overall - I’ve never been good at going to the dentist! I also was starting to get really self conscious about my smile as I could see my teeth starting to move over time but was also concerned that any corrective options might be too invasive or not worth it. 12 months later I’m the proud owner of an improved version of my smile thanks to a fantastic Invisalign experience with James. The whole process was so straight forward, James and his team made me completely at ease from the start and it has really helped me become much better with taking care of my teeth overall - I now go to the hygienist, regularly! The whole team at Lumino Courtenay place were so helpful - even helping me out outside of office hours with sourcing additional Invisalign supplies when I needed to go overseas last minute for an extended trip. Would really recommend the team at Lumino for anyone who wants to take the Invisalign step - thanks again team!

Fantastic experience: Great service! Left my initial check really happy with the options and level of details. Super friendly team and made me feel really comfortable. I had avoided seeing a dentist because of a bad experience many years ago. I could not believe how at ease and comfortable I was during an appointment for three fillings, I actually had a few little naps in the appt, for fillings! Great reception team too, notified me of an opening and got me in three weeks earlier - super happy :) Thanks Joo Leem and team!

My hygienist Rachel is someone I look forward to seeing and the dentist, Joo, who did my filling did an amazing job. Zero overt pain. Small numb area, and beautiful clean finish. I have been going since 2017 and I will continue to do so!

Fantastic experience: Where to begin. It had been a considerable length of time since I’d been to the Dentist and after smashing a tooth to pieces on the weekend these guys saw me. From the first booking I mentioned how nervous I was and the reception member called followed by the Dentist Sam to ensure I was ok and to give me a heads up on the plan. Once arriving everyone was very friendly and professional and Sam the dentist went to great lengths to put me at ease. He conducted himself professionally and compassionately and completed the extraction of the ruined tooth with next to no pain or discomfort. These guys will be my dentists for life now.

Fantastic experience: Joo was an amazing dentist and my treatment with her regarding my wisdom teeth extraction and implant fix was exceptional. Would probably use Lumino forever if i kept getting similar treatment. Likewise with the hygienist i visited. Incredibly well informed, easy to speak to and very professional.
