Fantastic experience: David is excellent! I had been suffering from TMJ disorder without realizing where all the pain was coming from for over 3 years. Once I started wearing the splint, almost all of my symptoms disappeared. The entire team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Burford never answer their phones and when leaving voicemails, they never call back. Its well known for a long time.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Dr. John Burford since 2017 for the treatment of my TMJ, which began in 2008. About ten years before I met Dr. John, I had seen more than 15 dentists in both South Korea and New Zealand. This experience was not only emotionally draining but also financially damaging. My TMJ was severe, but it has gradually improved with Dr. John’s care. He has been the best for me and a great role model in my life. His treatment for TMJ exceeds even that of specialists, yet he remains humble and possesses a wonderful sense of humour. Whenever I see him, he makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. He is not only highly professional and responsible but also respectful and kind to everyone around him. I am so grateful to have him as my dentist! Thank you, John!!! You are the best!!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter visited the clinic for her check-up with Smruti Divate. She explained everything well and was very thorough. My daughter was very happy with all the instructions she provided for improving her brushing and taught her how to floss too. I am thoroughly impressed with how she managed to calm my very nervous daughter during the filling appointments. Highly highly recommend Smruti!!!

Positive experience: My experience with Smruti Divate was quite bad. No concerns to my wellbeing whatsoever. She used the water cleaner on my teeth while the apparatus to remove the water was left on my cheeks (not close enough to the back of my mouth) which did not help as I had to swallow a great amount of residue. The cleaning hurt a lot, which was a first compared to previous visits at Burford. She also used unnecessary fillings on my teeth when it was not needed from the results of the x-ray and observations so it was being over treated. No real cleaning done though the appointment was booked for a clean. She was, however, nice. But wouldn't recommend her for a dental check-up. Other staff and services here are quite good so overall not bad.

Fantastic experience: For a long time I had big pain in my neck, trapezius and upper back. I used for 2 two years a plate but did not fix it my problems. Thank you very much John and Ilona! You have helped me a lot listening and understanding. Finally they made a new plate and after only 1 month I am so much better. I totally recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting many medical doctors and osteopaths for my neck, jaw and head pain. I was also suffering with terrible migraines that were so bad I couldn’t function. I was recommended to see John and in the first meeting I finally had so many answers to my symptoms. I never even knew I had TMJ or what it was but I had all the symptoms. Working with John and Ilona has definitely made my life so much more manageable. I can now function in daily life which is so good. John and Ilona really listen and work with you each step of the way. They understand and really are experts in this field. I highly recommend Burford Dental.

Everything was was explained clearly and I felt very at ease as these appointments are not an easy or comfortable process. Fantastic experience: The very best real care for your dental needs and at the most reasonable cost anywhere. John Burford has taken care of my children's teeth and braced and i was nearly totally incapacitated by my neurologica issues when he helped me with a TMJ splint. It sounds far fetched for those who haven't seen or experienced it bit without the splint hw made for me i could barely walk let alone drive a car. He doesn't make promises or claim to have all the answers but he genuinely tries to help people and i cannot ever express my gratitude enough.

Fantastic experience: I came to see Dr. John Burford regarding my TMJ, desperate for a solution John recommend this crutch that I am wearing now. Him and Ilona have changed my quality of life. I used to struggle to eat food and brush my teeth because I could barely open my mouth. But after almost a year of using this crutch and having treatment based on my symptoms I am now able to open my mouth normally, and I don’t have much pain at all. For reference when I first went I could only open my mouth up 29mm and now I can open it up 51mm!! I highly recommend this dentist if you are struggling with TMJ, they are highly trained, knowledgeable and understanding of the jaw and it’s functions. Thank you John and Ilona

Negative experience: Burford Dental is probably great for normal dental work but I would caution anyone against getting any TMJ treatment there. My TMJ treatment has left me with a misaligned bite, my normal dentist was horrified when he saw my teeth. I have sought a second opinion from an orthodontist and am looking at thousands of dollars worth or work if I want to correct it. I'm sure it has worked for some people but I would advise to get a second opinion before going ahead with any treatment.

Fantastic experience: John and team have been absolutely fabulous and over a period of time have fixed my sons very bad overbite using corrective plate treatment and aligning the TMJ (joint) using a safe and non intrusive method. John and team offer expert knowledge in this field of treatment and having researched John I found he was a internationally recognised practitioner in this field. My son also received a corrective breathing course so that his jaw problems would not occur again later in life All this and at an affordable price saving us a substantial amount of money as opposed to having braces fitted. Five stars without hesitation and wishing John and Team a very Merry Christmas! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Our family has benefited hugely from Burford Dental's professionalism and value for money. Our 15 year old has had wonderful on going support and success with the orthodontic programme and I have been super impressed with the calm, open and friendly treatment given by the fabulous DD and his team when I had a crown and filling done recently. Excellent service, great value, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this place enough, from being greeted over the phone by the lovely Nadia to walking in the door getting the exact same welcome. I’ve got some pretty bad trauma from when I was a kid so going to the dentist isn’t easy for me I get really anxious & nervous Staff are very informative they explain everything being done & talk you through the procedure step by step I love this no surprises and you know when to expect a pinch here an there mid way through todays work all my anxiety went away that’s how comfortable I was this is huge for me!! it’s about an hour drive for me to get here but it’s well worth it and I won’t ever go anywhere else from now on. When you walk in the door it’s nice, clean & doesn’t remind me of the dentist back in the 90s. Look forward to future visits thank you too the team at Burford appreciate it so much ❤️ Also I will add the hygienist is amazing I forgot her name sorry I learned so much about teeth today so now hopefully I see some improvements with my teeth.

Growing up the dentist was a place many hid away from, and after leaving high school I had managed to stay far away. As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed by the lovely staff. They were professional, caring and talked me through the whole process. Fantastic experience: Comfortable. Is the singular word I would choose to describe Burford Dental. From as soon as I walked in I was greeted and made to feel welcome. I have had bad dental experiences in the past and was very nervous about having X-rays, a hygiene clean and learning what needed to be done to repair my mouth. The hygienist, Sharlene was extremely careful and cautious while performing the clean and also took the time to explain key details and action points throughout. The dentist I saw, DD continued in making me feel comfortable and reassuring me about this dental experience but never discounting what has happened to me at other practices in the past - he assured me that I was in safe hands. His assistant Teana also made me feel welcome and safe, chatting to me while DD drew up a plan and wrote notes for how to explain the treatment to me. Thank you Burford Dental team, for looking after me.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a longtime client of Dr John and Ilona, they helped me with braces and fixing my overbite during high school. I’ve consistently been treated amazingly by all the staff during the years! I have recently gone again for some fillings and a general checkup with Dr Divyadeep (Didi). He went above and beyond all my expectations by explaining the process of everything to me and reassuring any concerns. His work was exceptional and the dental work I’ve received has been painless and effective. Thank you Dr John, Dr Divyadeep, Dr Ilona and the great reception team!

Fantastic experience: Burford dental have been my orthodontist & dentist for over 20 years. Amazingly, some of the staff that treated me all those years ago, are still with the business today. A wonderful bunch of friendly staff who always make you feel comfortable and at ease.

They've been honest about procedures and their costs (not exploitative), patient and kind with their care, haven't been judgemental or rude about anything and have been understanding when talking about affordability or struggles with personal dental care. We came in feeling anxious and nervous (from past dental experience) and as soon as we were seen, you made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Especially to the team that took good care of us -Sharlene for looking after me (quite a big job but she delivered and made sure i was okay throughout the whole process. She was professional, I was in the best hands!! Diryadeep for educating us and taking the time to help understand thoroughly while being so approachable and friendly, and Teana for playing a huge part by referring us here and being the best assistant, We absolutely have no regrets coming here.
