Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with Dr. Clifford Lee today and was really impressed. He was very well presented, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, addressing all my concerns. I felt very comfortable throughout the visit.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Lee for my Invisalign treatment last year and going forward for general dental checkups - genuinely the nicest dentist I think I've ever had! I used to have huge dentist phobia but Clifford explains everything to you and makes sure you're comfortable/aware of what's happening, as well as keeps you as informed as possible. Cannot recommend enough. :)

Negative experience: I was overcharged at this clinic, this was acknowledged and a credit was applied to my account. I did not want a credit, I wanted a refund. I was told that someone would get in touch regarding a refund and no one ever did.

Fantastic experience: Last week I had two back teeth extracted by Dr Jareth Lau. He did a superb job - the operation was painless and relatively comfortable, and afterwards I needed further pain relief only on the day of the op itself. The gum is now healing beautifully. I recommend Jareth's work without qualification.

Negative experience: Lumino Dentist seems to keep the bad fame around the country. In Auckland it is exactly the same as others described. My partner got a simple tooth filling and it got 39°C fever for three days. He doesn't suffer of anything. They also tell you to do so many unnecessary treatments.

Negative experience: Unbelievably awful. The treatment I received was of a poor quality and had to be done again, with all the accompanying injections and pain. Worst of all, I still can't bite food properly 2 years later. My friend also visited here to get a wisdom tooth removed and got an infection in her jaw. UPDATE - 5 years on and it fell off. The first one I had from a different dentist lasted for over 20 years. My current dentist can't believe how much of my tooth had been sanded away and said the nerve is almost exposed and I'm likely to need a root canal.

Fantastic experience: Positive experience, very communicative throughout, non judgmental & gentle. Will definitely make this my regular, this service completely cured my fear of visiting the dentist!

Negative experience: After my first hygiene session (which was around $250), I was asked to come back for a check up. Then I was given another session with the reason "The first hygienist didn't manage to remove everything" and got charged the same price again. Then they tried to book me for another session in the next 3 months. I asked why so early, normally people do this once every 6 months. The reception lady failed to answer my question and just moved the appointment to 6 months later. Dental service is already expensive enough so don't come here and spend more. Not to mention the process was more painful than my previous experience. Not recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign treatment with Fraiser at Lumino and am so happy with the results. From start to finish my treatment has been transparent and trouble-free. I highly recommend Fraiser, Lumino and Invisalign to anyone thinking about correcting uneven or problem teeth. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service! Clifford was so kind, gentle and friendly and calmed my nerves straight away, he showed me the photos and xrays he took and answered all my questions. I wont go anywhere else for dental work in Wellington now. I was terrified and he was so good at calming me down and forming a treatment plan for me. Cant speak highly enough about my experience!

Negative experience: I had a bad experience in here. Doctor hadn’t enough communication with me and even he didn’t tell me the price in the whole treatment. I suffered for an additional three weeks because the doctors did not follow basic procedures. Very bad. I won't go again！

Negative experience: I've sent them an email several weeks ago asking them about pricing options on some of their services that are not on their pricing page. They didn't even bother getting back to me. Found the service I needed from another dentist practise, the only reason I chose the other is simply the quickness of correspondence. If you offer email as a mode of communication, you should start treating every query seriously. They could be a potential customer that will happily pay for your services.

The staff are friendly, open to questions and give helpful feedback, and having to rearrange appointments due to work and illness has been no problem at all. Highly recommended.
