Fantastic experience: I always assumed Dentists were in it for the money but at Raumati Dental you'll find a dentist who sincerely cares about you and your dental health. Dr Ru has an impeccable bedside manner, she's clearly an expert in her feild, and going from dreading a dentist I'm actually looking foward to her fixing all the problems in my mouth. Not to mention the prices are affordable. I'm thrilled I found her accidentally and recommend her to everyone Kapiti wide.

Negative experience: I had a mixed experience at Raumati Dental centre First, I want to acknowledge the dental assistant, who was lovely, patient, and compassionate during my visit. Unfortunately, my experience with the dentist was not as positive. I have a significant fear of needles, and during my appointment, I felt rushed and pressured when the dentist insisted that I needed numbing for a filling I’ve had done without numbing before. Despite explaining that I was comfortable managing my own pain tolerance, my request to proceed without it was denied. The dentist became impatient, mentioning we were 'not getting anywhere' and that other patients were waiting, which only heightened my anxiety and led to a breakdown. I do recognize and apologize for becoming emotional; however, feeling rushed and dismissed made it difficult for me to process. Additionally, I was told I’d have to pay $1,000 for an option to be put under without local anesthesia. Later, another dentist completed the procedure for me without numbing, and I experienced no discomfort. I am grateful for the support and kindness of the dental assistant, but the overall experience with the dentist left me feeling pressured and unheard.

Fantastic experience: Today I needed an examination and X-rays at very short notice due to a recently diagnosed health issue. I am not a local - I was visiting friends nearby who suggested this practice. I went into the clinic and met a receptionist who quickly understood my situation and sprang into action. That resulted in the dentist, Teagan, agreeing to see me soon after my arrival. She was terrific - empathetic, efficient and expert. I am very grateful to the team for their rapid and caring response to my situation.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant, really helpful, welcoming, and calm. Had to have a tooth extracted and didn’t even realise the local had been done - no pain during the procedure or after. They all looked after me so well when I got lightheaded after the fact as well. Cannot recommend Ru and the team enough!

Fantastic experience: I suffer from severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist & I am so happy that I came here. Tegan is so welcoming as are all the receptionist. Ru is exceptional, she explains everything as she’s about to do it and wants you as comfortable as possible. I’ll never go anywhere else and doubt I’ll ever need to after her. Super professional, understanding, and kind. Also - really non-judgemental.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service, from making theappointment to the actual fix! I am terrified of dentists and always put it off until its too late but have never felt more relaxed, even rebooked for more work!! Was not judged and was super impressed with everything (even the price!) Highly recommend to all and will definitely be booking the whole family in here now!! Thanks so much ☺️

Fantastic experience: I've had a lot of dental work through my childhood and teens, and can do without someone else's hands and shelf of tools in my mouth. Needs must, however... A workmate recommended Ru to me and two years on I want to recommend her to everyone else. She did an excellent job removing a tooth, a year ago, with minimal pain. I noticed then what a difference smaller hands make! Today she brought me back to fill a small cavity that my annual check-up uncovered. Yes, small hands help, but there's so much more to it. The painkiller went into my gum with merely minor discomfort - I've previously had bruising lasting days just from the injection. Not this time; she gave it the time needed. And as she prepared to drill, she said, "If you want me to stop, lift your left hand and I will stop instantly." Which I've never heard from a dentist before. She began, and after a moment, hit a nerve and up went my hand. And she stopped. I wasn't actually hurt - more startled, but she was as good as her word. After a moment we continued, and, knowing that she would honour her promise to halt if I asked, I had no problem enduring the occasional mild and quickly passing discomfort. The entire procedure was over very soon after, and i was out the door again less than 15 minutes after I'd walked in. Ru Ibraham - I can't say I enjoy our visits, but I don't dread them. And that's massive. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Ru and her team are amazing, I got a tooth taken out a week ago for an over crowded mouth, she talked me through the hole processes and then did the extraction and it was quick and I didn’t feel a thing. I didn’t need pain killers or anything afterwards as well she did an amazing job, no pain during or after!!! Thank you

Fantastic experience: I am a nervous wreck going to the dentist because of past bad experiences- like I mean, I shake, cry-serious anxiety! Ru is amazing! So kind and caring but also a seriously great dentist. I just had a tooth pulled this morning, in what felt like less than 10 seconds. I'm moving my whole family over to Ru

Fantastic experience: Ru is a wonderful and caring dentist. She educates you about your teeth and is extremely knowledgeable. Ru has the highest dental qualifications and is a Doctor of Dentistry. I have seen many dentists before and none come anywhere near Ru for the level of care provided. Highly recommend Ru.

Negative experience: Don't recommend at all. Totally waste time of waiting for an appointment for weeks and was told the appointment was canceled at the last second, and very upset by unfair treatment. As a patient who suffered toothache for 6 months seeking for treatments, we are not cared at all. All we got just excuses, "we needs another examination before fixing", "we don't know you still suffer pain." Blabla.. if you really care about us, and had a look our appointment message or medical treatment history in your system, we wouldn't not get a phone call at the appointment day morning says we are moved out. My wife had a toothache 6 months ago and did the examination 6 months ago was told needed a longer appointment for fixing. We started saving money then back to dentist recently. We mentioned the examination was a few months ago when booking the appointment for this time. They reminded us a few times before the appointment and even called us once to make sure we will pop in. They don't want their schedule to be missed, but they don't care our schedule. However at the appointment day, we were told our appointment needs to be moved into a waiting list, with uncertaint waiting time. The reason we were told is dentists wants a short appointment for another examination so the long appointment we booked is not necessary for us, will give to someone else emergency, they don't think a patient who suffered 6month pain is an emergency, their excuse is I didn't mention in the message. If they had a look my appointment message even once in the whole week before appointment day, they have plenty time to know the our examination was a few months ago. Totally unfair and unrespected.

Fantastic experience: I am writing this review using my Sister in law's account. I am Sharon Alderson from Hamilton. I was visiting at Waikanae Beach and broke my temporary crown Ru was able to fit me in the next day and I was really impressed with the friendliness and care shown to me by all of the staff. If you are new to the area and need to find a new dentist I can highly recommend Ru at the Raumati Dental Centre. Thank you for making a potentially uncomfortable holiday enjoyable with no tooth sensitivity or pain

Fantastic experience: I was blown away by the excellent service of Dr Ru Ibrahim. I came in for emergency dental service and received excellent care. I have lived all around the world and I can easily say she may be the kindest dentist I have ever seen. Unfortunately, one of the front desk women is horrendously unprofessional and rude.

Negative experience: The young girl with brown hair and fringe at the front desk serving people was very rude to everyone including myself. She has a “I’m over it” attitude and she was acting frustrated when I asked her for help. She was snappy and impolite as she spoke. If she doesn’t like her job then I advise she quit.

Fantastic experience: Ru is an amazing dentist with a lot of compassion and understanding. Highly recommend for people who are worried about being judged or not getting all the information needed. Ru is going to take awesome care of you, explain what needs to be done and added bonus is that you can watch TV while she works on your teeth - good distraction for people like me who are bit nervous about dentist appointments.

Positive experience: Be aware that there are two dental practices in the same building and Google has clumped them together. Make sure you know which practice you are booking for or (like me) you will end up seeing dentists from both practices who have no idea of your history from seeing the other. When I attempted to point that out I was shot down by the receptionist. I did however have excellent dental treatment from both practices so there's that!

Negative experience: This dental center is great. However I recommend you go to any other dentist EXCEPT Elena Lazarus . Have had major issues since she did a filling. And she won't take responsibility for it. Over the past year I have had to come back and forth due to this tooth... I haven't been able to chew on this side since. I had no issue with it in the first place but she said it needed a filling. She did not take any xrays so was unaware how deep it was. While she was attending my tooth, she did not give me any numbing whatsoever. I was jumping in my seat in pain but she carried on and didn't offer any pain relief. My tooth now needs a root canal $2000, which she refuses to take responsibility for. Be weary of what dentist you choose. I have been seeing another Dentist in that practice, Ru who has been amazing in trying to help me but there is only so much she can do. Unfortunately I'm now stuck with this problem.

Im very scared of dentist as the last one i went too broke a tooth.. but today i came to raumati dental to get the broken tooth removed and i couldnt of been more happier and calm. The receptionist ladys are amazing so friendly and caring and my dentist elena and her lovely dental assistant thank you so much! You made it so very easy for me

Fantastic experience: Wonderful friendly understanding and accommodating staff - so helpful! I have a terrible fear of dentistry and yet I can now comfortably attend this practise and that’s a huge thing for me so thanks guys!!!!
