Fantastic experience: My 84yr old Mum had a fear of going to the dentist after some bad experiences. She needed some work done, and we were looking for somewhere that could provide sedation. Lumino came up after a Google search, so we made an appointment. Thank goodness for Jason and his team ♥️ They made her feel so relaxed and explained everything so she could understand. Her treatment was kind and pain-free. She can't sing your praises high enough. Thank you

Positive experience: The staff at Lumino were professional and friendly. However, the $300 cost for a 25-minute filling repair without anaesthetic felt high—15-25% above market rates, in my view as a business owner. I asked if the price could be adjusted since no anaesthetic was needed, but the cost remained unchanged, which surprised me. I paid as I was already there, but I’ll likely seek quotes from other practices in the future.

Negative experience: We have been patients for a few years. I had been in pain for 3 weeks. Was finally able to get in on a Monday...pay day was Tuesday. I wasnt able to use Afterpay...asked if I could pay the next day. Was made to feel like a criminal and was told many times policy was on day of surgery. I get this for new clients...but I was a previous patient who had paid in full previously. We wont be back. Asked to be removed from data base. What happened to customer service for past and loyal customers. Shame as all dentists and hygenists in past been absolutely lovely.

Negative experience: I am new to the area and went in here today to get a checkup, I didn't end up having the appointment as I was unable to receive an invoice for the cost which is fine but I felt embarrassed and not welcome with how the receptionist spoke to me, the tone of voice and the mentioning about money etc made me upset and feel like a fool infront of other customers..

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service from Bianca at Lumino. Such a cheerful person to speak with, absolute Star!! I was trying to make an appointment for my Aunty, regarding her dentures and even though they weren't done there Bianca offered a range of options. Her wonderful nature was showcased in my phone calls. You are a star!

Fantastic experience: I visited today as a bit of an overall checkup.....and on account of loosing a bit of one of my bottom back tooth after what may have been a bit too vigorous eating session with some hard nuts. I saw Jason, and have to say, as a Super Gold card holder, have had the best initial experience ever. In these days of doctors allocating a small time, and insisting on each visit being for just the one item/issue...it was so pleasing to meet a practitioner who took the time to explain the many photos/xrays that were taken. Apparently I have something called a mandible that is a bit different that most folk, so Jason explained all of that to me. In all my other Dentist appts (try to visit every 6 months) no one else has mentioned that. Plus he explained a whole lot more about darker shading on a couple of teeth...but anyway thats enough for now. So pleased I gave Lumino a go....and so pleased I ended up with such a helpful chap like Jason in Rangiora.

Fantastic experience: Wisdom teeth sorted today with Fionulla. Excellent professional manner and procedure along with a great assistant. Never fun but this team is Excellent.

Fantastic experience: This has always been a good dental practice with great dentist. But today I was seen by Andrew Kent and his assistant Lori. Firstly they were a good team that worked together well. Secondly Andrew explained the procedure clearly, not only at the start but as we progressed. Explaining things as we went along made me much more comfortable. I would recommend Lumino Rangiora highly and would most certainly recommend Andrew to anyone who is a bit nervous about the dentist. And that is before we even get to the great work they actually did. 12 out of 10 for the team

Fantastic experience: Ive recently had a few treatments done here, an initial check up, a cleaning a filling repair and finally my wisdom teeth removed. All staff were warm, welcoming kind, knowledgeable and empathetic. It was a great experience and I would recommend them for all dental need. thanks alot keep it up. kind regards

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Lumino Rangiora today with Andrew Kent. Visiting the dentist usually gives me anxiety but he was friendly, professional, very informative and did a fantastic job! Very happy with the end result and I’m no longer experiencing a tooth ache (thank goodness!!) Their office is clean, modern and the receptionists were both friendly and welcoming. Thank you team :)

Negative experience: Honestly, you're far better off going elsewhere. It attracted me to be so convenient and heaps of space to make a booking when needed. But the dentist i had was way way way below par, nice enough guy just not a good dentist. I had a filling done firstly by him and it broke soon after. I then had him repair it. It broke again after 4 weeks. He told me it was the most difficult filling hes ever done. Took forever, my jaw was so sore waiting for him to do it. Was over an hr to do 1 filling. Anyway went to good st dental and seen a young lady in there, she had it done quick smart and at half the price. Dont go here just go to a local practice and get a quality dentist and pay half as much. Wish i never went lumino

Fantastic experience: I never ever leave google reviews but simply had to for Ben and the team at Lumino Rangiora. I spent a fortune on dental work after an accident at my workplace and now I wish I had just gone to Rangiora from the start, because I would've saved a lot of money and time. Everyone was extremely helpful and efficient as well as knowledgable, and the entire process (and cost) was explained clearly from the start. I couldn't be happier, a month later and my teeth have never felt healthier. I will definitely be doing all future check ups there. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience today - needed a tooth pulled and it was promptly and proficiently done - my clinician was Heena.

Negative experience: I called the Rangiora Lumino because Lumino is advertising a new patient special, but the Rangiora number just redirects to a national call centre so I had to wait in line to speak to someone, then they said they didn't know if Rangiora offers the special, so they transferred me back to Rangiora. Then I waited on hold again before it redirected me back to the call centre. After 10 minutes of time wasting, I gave up. It's worse than calling IRD.

Negative experience: Lady on the phone was quite rude and abrupt when I asked to rebook after I was very sorry about missing my appointment.. not very good customer service.

Fantastic experience: My experience was top notch. From the moment I booked my appt I received fantastic service and treatment. The admin ladies were very understanding as I was very anxious and nervous. I experienced the most caring treatment from Ben. He was very efficient and made my visit positive. Thank you Ben and the whole team.

Negative experience: Their website boasts about having all the modern gears including sedation, but fact is you still have to go into the city if you want anything serious done. And from the dentist I saw there was very little understanding of my anxiety around treatments. Wasted time.

Negative experience: I went here a little over a year ago. I had different appointments to get some fillings done. The first proper appointment my cheek was severely sliced into and there was a hole about the sice of a 10c peice. I had to come back as I had payed with a payment card in full already. Another appointment I was getting my front two teeth worked on and she decided to shave them down WITHOUT even asking me first, she just did it. It changed the look of my whole mouth and I was actually Soo upset I told her and she said that it looks nicer like this and every time I said how I felt about it I was not listened to. She actually shaved my front two teeth down Soo much there is no protection at the bottom and I can see the inside from the bottom now. The sensitivity has gotten Sooooo much worse now and this is why I'm writting this now. I payed $1,800 to have my cheek sliced open and my teeth changed andmand shaved without mypmy. DON'T GO HERE.

Negative experience: I visited this dentist practice a few days ago to have a filling replaced. !5 minutes in the chair, the old filling had completely come out so dentist said most of the work had been done already so would only need a few seconds of drilling to rough the edges for better traction for new filling, no painless injection required. Charge for this $312.00. I believe this to be excessive for the treatment received and certainly would not recommend this Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I'm so thrilled to say I really enjoyed my experience here today (i'm not someone who likes going to the Dentist!). From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the lovely Receptionist who made me feel very welcome and at ease. All the staff I came across were incredibly lovely and generous, including Rucha. She made me feel so comfortable and explained everything so easily to me. Thank you :)
