They were easy to contact and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so impressed and happy with my treatment. Negative experience: Bad. Went here for an urgent appointment a few years ago. Wire detached from one of my teeth and needed fixing. Dentist and his mum worked on me. Seemed like the mum who was acting as the nurse was the one actually in charge as others have said. Found out when I went to pay that they didn't accept credit cards so forked out in cash for the procedure. After I paid the mum skirted around me to unlock the dead bolted door to let me out. I've never in my life before or since been locked in a business to ensure I paid. Dehumanizing experience all in all and would not recommend. The wire fell out again a month later, so the work wasn't even good.

Fantastic experience: A really good dentist you can trust, I warmly recommand. He was listening to me, explained each step and often showed me what he was about to do with a small mirror. I really feel at ease knowing what was happening. We need more dentist like that !

Fantastic experience: I come from Germany and was travelling around New Zealand, when in recognised some toothache. I called the Dental Walrus and got an appointment at the same day. The staff was super friendly and did an awesome job! I‘m often very nervous at the dentist but I felt super safe there! I would definitely recommend this place :)

Fantastic experience: Affordable, and Professional. My upper teeth filling fell off, he checked overall and found another nearly broken filling. He explained what to do and patiently fixed them also other my lower teeth are complicated, he protected them beforehand, thanks a lot.. They are also friendly, I recommend to anyone who needs to see the dentist in NZ.

Positive experience: Been there last year, but just suddenly think that I should leave my experience here. Doctors are skillful, and the price can be consider as the cheapest in Dunedin. The problem is, during a check-up or cleaning process, a nurse-like mom? Nagging non-stop by the side, if they find that your tooth is not so clean or good, she keep nagging by the side (eg: how dirty you teeth look like - in a harsh way). The confidence of the doctor is under suspicion, and every examination is a question sentence (eg: I think this should be compared to, I think..., I think it may be?) Then the mother nurse will answer the question for him (give him confidence? ). It made me think who is the doctor, and I started to be afraid. Overall, the process went well, but the nurse was so annoying that I don't know if I want to be get this experience again next time. Although I understand it's for our own good, but it's too much, it feels like a mother teaching her child. Hopefully nurse experience can be a little bit professional and be patience, thanks.

Fantastic experience: The price of dental services made us feel worried to see the dentists. Until I can not eat any kind of meat, I tried to go to a dentist who had the best reviews in Dunedin. After seeing him, I regretted not to see him earlier :). You have to see him if you are looking for a good experienced dentist and also the most affordable dental clinic in Dunedin.
