Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience getting an exam and x-rays today. Was my first time there as I’ve just moved to Tawa. All the staff were really friendly and helpful as I had my 2 year old and 8 month old with me and didn’t realise there were stairs until I got there with the pram. The receptionist helped me get us all up stairs, chatted to the kids and kept them happy during my appt and helped us get out at the end. Very thorough and kind dentist, the consult wasn’t rushed nor too dragged out and he gave me great advice on caring for my teeth and answered a couple of questions I had about my toddlers teeth. Even got it half price with the coupon from the local magazine! Will definitely be my regular dentist from now on.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a couple of years now, Kara + Sonali are so friendly, kind and do a great job. The communication from Sonali is top notch and Kara is a very good Hygienist, highly recommend :)

Fantastic experience: Had my teeth cleaned by Kara. She is super friendly and the Air Flow cleaning was so much nicer than regular cleaning.

Negative experience: Went there throughout high school up until I was 24. They horribly botched a root canal - capping my tooth with decay still inside which led to a huge build up of pressure and the most excruciating pain in my life ; and doing an uneven cap that made my jaw uneven. I went to a&e three times over the weekend while they were closed and even the tramydol didnt help. When i went in for the do-over the dentist injected my tongue with anesthetic instead of my gum - and then argued with me over weather or not she did ; despite the fact my tongue was bleeding - it stayed numb for over 48 hours. Now I am having issues with fillings I had done there in high school that again were uneven and have worn at the surrounding teeth. Just pay the extra money and go to Simes De Silva in town - I had to get them to fix up this mess.

Fantastic experience: Usually I am not comfortable with dental but Dental Excellence was amazing. The receptionist was so kind and straight forward. Kara the hygienist is so professional and talked me through the whole procedure, which settled my nerves. Highly recommend, will visit again. P.S love the wallpaper so much

Fantastic experience: I can’t tell you the fear I had when I needed to go to dentist this fear goes back as far as me being 11 years old but they were so sympathetic and gentle took time with me and the hygienist was the best I still need some work but feel better about it all

Fantastic experience: I'm thoroughly thrilled with my service at Centre of Dental Excellence. I had my first appointment with Jaideep who was extremely friendly and polite and very gentle and informative - he gave me some excellent advice on how to care for my teeth going forward. I followed up my appointment with Alisha - the hygienist - who was an absolute delight! I won't admit how many years it's been since I've seen a hygienist (I put it off due to the fear of pain!) but Alisha was extremely caring and sympathetic to my feelings - she was incredibly gentle and taught me more about my teeth and how to care for them properly than any other hygienist has before her - she even did a Google image search so that I could clearly understand my condition and how to move forward now before further damage. I highly recommend Centre of Dental Excellence in Tawa - they're even had a fancy new face-lift (images added to this review!).

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing team. Very friendly and very understanding. I needed some major work and rather than having to wait months to book it which was the answer I was getting from a few other places, we started a few days after me making contact and basically finished less than a month on. I'm so happy with the whole process. No judgement from the team just care and effort to fix the problem. Sonali thank you Dr Anne thank you very very much. And to the multiple assistants whom I didnt get your names thank you. See you in a few weeks

Fantastic experience: The centre of dental excellence is simply wonderful. Jaideep and his team are welcoming and provide a top class dental service. It's great also they have a hygienist on board as well! Would highly recommend a visit for all your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: It was really good with friendly helpful kind staff

Negative experience: Centre of Dental Excellence....not so much !! The procedure for replacing dentures for my mum took 6 weeks from first impression to finished product, instead of the industry standard of 3 weeks (per conversations with the NZIDT and many other dental practices). This made for a very frustrating and unnecessarily long journey. I found head dentist to be condescending and dismissive in his communication from the first appointment til the 6th and final appointment when he was unprofessional and rude. Based on the 1 star review below it seems I am not the only person to experience this behaviour from him. The admin staff are nice...but I would never go to that dentist again. One good thing during the process was that we met with the technician at Dentocast who was making the dentures.....a fantastic guy called Lucky Singh. He was consultative, professional and friendly. Speaking with the NZIDT, I found out you can go directly to the technician to have dentures made......sounds like a plan if there is ever a next time.

Fantastic experience: I hate dentist's (who doesn't) i avoid going then when i have to go cos of tooth pain, i always feel guilty for not going when i should have ......went today for an extraction, Staff were really helpful and super friendly, no judgments on poor dental health, was super comfortable, made it good and numb, explained the process really well, very professional. Will go back next time i have dental pain.

Negative experience: I made it clear to my dentist, the owner of CODE, my concerns, and he did a procedure which violated my trust, and then was condescending to me about it. I was too furious for words. When I was sent a reminder of my next appointment I emailed them to let them know the problem, and made it clear that I was not going to continue being a client. I again was reminded of my appointment (already cancelled). I have since spoken to several employees and ex-employees who said he is very hard to work with, and has a bad temper. I don't need that from my dentist, so have changed dentist and am now happy with my new one, although slightly concerned about the amount of work I need - no way of knowing if this is simply bad luck over the last year, or poor dentistry previously.
