Negative experience: I went to get a checkup and was told they would need to get 2 half wing xrays, which is normal. And then the dentist (Karla) rattled off an advert about dental cleaning service within my appointment, citing that they can do it now. Okay, so I went for it, and they knew I was a little short time on time, but they should not discount on attentiveness and professionalism, I mean the price was definitely not discounted. I explicitly said that I had some black bacterial spots on my molars, which i would liked looked at and removed/cleaned. End result: I guess the tartar was cleaned but none of the black spots were cleaned. Noted that most were on my wisdom teeth, which they suggested that I remove them. I looked up online and they were meant to clean them out too, which wasn't done. Just because you suggested a teeth extraction/removal at a later time, doesn't mean you shouldn't clean on them right now, it's not like we're not paying. Running late, so rushed me through. Poor attitudes, Not good service. Won't be coming back. Thanks for what was done, but poor rating from me. Overall charge was 245. Gave me lots of ulcers in my mouth, and citing that there was little blood, ha. 2 stars because the other parts was done barely acceptable, but will check with my regular dentist to see if true. I should have read the reviews before going. The free check up is bogus.

Fantastic experience: I had a sore tooth and The Dentist East Tamiki fixed it that day. The dentist and her assistant were very friendly and professional. Best of all it didn't even hurt. I had one filling and a wisdom tooth pulled. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anybody

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and communication. Emailed late evening with a toothache received an email the next morning with availability the same day. Received a filling from Dentist Karla and it was seamless and she was very thorough and explained the options and costs involved prior to proceeding with treatment. Clean and modern clinic. Have already rebooked for a check up. Thanks team.

Fantastic experience: Had to get a cracked tooth out, was able to get an appointment the next morning first thing. Staff were professional and friendly, Dr Karim is good to deal with. The recovery was really good, maybe a few more gauzes for extractions? Otherwise, I've been back for a follow up, clean and some fillings. Haven't compared prices, but I don't mind paying a little when they make things so very hassle free with their booking systems and payment methods. The facility inside is first class, very clean and professional.

Negative experience: 1 star review for the disappointing and terrible experience going to this dental practice. I've spent 1600 dollars in two appointments just for some fillings and a mouth guard. Below is photo of how I was given my mouth guard; with no mouthguard case, in a plastic bag which was inside a takeaway container. Very unprofessional service, when confronting staff about why I wasn't given a case, they made flimsy excuses that the practice just runs like that and they don't provide cases. They told me to store the mouthguard on the teeth mold, when that is specifically for creating retainers, mouthguards etc. As shown from research. Furthermore the receptionist had stated that her children have gotten those mouthguard cases, contradicting the previous opinion of how the practice does not provide the case. During this confrontation, staff were snobish and ignorant with poor customer service. Would not recommend this practice and will never come back here.

Negative experience: My total spending here till now is $619 in two visits. I feel I should have checked at other dentist, it could have cost me less. They lure you in with free examination then they try to cover their cost by charging high for other services. They charged me $350 for teeth cleaning (polish was poorly done !!) then at the end of the cleaning I asked about filling on one tooth, to which dentist did it and when I went to pay at the counter I came to know about additional $250 for the filling. When I questioned about it. Mr. Karim Shabbot (the dentist) came out aggressively, very unfriendly and being rude he started giving me excuses that any service you get there is a charge. Well, Mr. Shabbot I didnot say I'll walk out free and pay nothing. I was ready to pay $350. but if you offer any service it is your duty to let your customer know how much it will cost. it is never assumed. If you do not make it clear in the beginning customer will always think it is included in the amount that has been agreed beforehand. Well, he gave me $50 discount later and thanks for that. But I am disappointed by his approach, he lost one customer I am not going back here. At one point I made up my mind to make this place my regular dentist. and I decided to go back in 3 months as suggested by Karim. But now I feel humiliated. I am sorry change your attitude. Thanks for your service.

Fantastic experience: The team at The Dentist in Highbrook is extremely efficient and very friendly to deal with. I went in with my dad to get his wisdom teeth removed. They were amazing and we came out really happy. Definitely my go to place for dental work.

Negative experience: Overpriced. They say come get a free consult then tell you, you have to get X-rays $30 each. Wanted to charge me nearly $700 for two fillings and two X-rays. I went somewhere else and paid $450. This place is a rip! Karim was pretty unfriendly too, wouldn’t feel safe with him doing the work anyway.

Fantastic experience: The best dental/dentist experience i have had all my life. Everybody from the practice manager, dental assistant and the dentist were brilliant. they were kind compassionate and the dentist Dr. Sama was so gentle. If I can help it this will be my go-to dentist in the future. i recommend this to anybody especially those who are scared to go to the dentist. Thank you for your compassion and kindness.

Fantastic experience: Went here recently to get a toothache sorted. The dentist and his assistant were amazing. They were understanding of my situation and made every effort to ensure I was comfortable and didn’t feel pain. Explained my options clearly as well as giving me clear upfront costs so I could make an informed decision. Procedure was quick and painless. No hidden costs and an overall really great experience despite personally not liking dentists in general. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: Hi there, I just want to say say a huge thank you to you Doctor and your assistant for helping me. From last week i haven't got enough sleep due to my teeth was very pain and last night was terrible and i can't sleep. So i think to myself its better for me to die because its very pain, So i went up to google this morning and type cheap dentist in Auckland and google show me different dentist. so i see all the dentist is open at 9am only the Dentist East Tamaki Highbrook Limited is open at 8am, so i pray to God to help me show me the right dentist to fix my teeth. So i see the time is 8:02 am so i called and the operator was very lovely and her voice is friendly so i ask her and she book my appointment for 11 am and she said if the doctor want to see me early she will contact me,after 5 min she call me an said you can come 10 am so i get ready and be there at 9: 50am . the doctor arrive and he do the x-ray for my teeth and he pull out my teeth it was very fast and i didn't feel the pain when he pull out my teeth . This is the best doctor i ever meet in NZ and best dentist i ever visit during my study. Thank you very much Doctor and your assistant sorry i don't know your name but i really appreciate your help . thank you very much may the good lord give strength and more knowledge from above to do your job to his people. thank you so much and have a great day Thanks Heleine Fisiiahi

Negative experience: SUMMARY $600 for no difference. Dr Karim Shabbot is not worth it. Two main big issues. but TLDR; low effort, says one thing, does another. Go somewhere else. Don't trust these fake 5 star reviews. Went in for a clean first. Dr Karim Shabbot doesn't spend his time. He mildly got plaque off a spot in one of my back tooth. There's remaining (and visible) plaque remaining (WHICH I CONFRONTED HIM ABOUT) but he chose to somewhat ignore me. He only cleaned what was in sight and didn't do every individual tooth. Pretty much he went super quick with the procedures rather than slowing down and paying attention to detail. In office Zoom Teeth Whitening. At the consultancy beforehand. Dr Karim Shabbot informed me he applies the bleach solution 3 times and shines the uv light for THREE 15 min interval (i researched beforehand and that's true). When the appointment came around, he does TWO 15 min intervals only. This left my teeth having unusual white spots. Dr Karim Shabbot went on to say that doing another 15 min interval would not change much but I feel like those spots would be treated better if i was under the uv light for one more interval. I would of loved to know how much the procedure actually affected my teeth. I said i wanted to ask a few more question after i return from the washroom. I went to the washroom to clean up and when i returned, Dr Karim is already with the next patient. WOW; poor service. Can someone help? YT

Negative experience: Would give this 0 stars if I could! Bought a grab one "examination, 2 x-rays and scale & polish - he wasn't going to x-ray even though I paid for it, didn't examine my teeth properly (merely looked - no instruments used), didn't explain outcome of x-rays findings (said email if I want them) and the scale & polish was EXTREMELY poor - he only cleaned what was in sight and didn't do every tooth! There is still plaque on my teeth. Very poor service - the whole visit was completed in less than 15 minutes!!! - the quickest I have ever encountered by a dentist! Save your money and go elsewhere!

Negative experience: I bought a voucher for a clean and scale on Groupon. The appointment lasted not more than 15 mins considering I spent $74 for a superficial clean.This was very poor value for money will not go back again and do not recommend using any vouchers on sites such as groupon for this dentist.
