Fantastic experience: Hugely grateful to this surgery and Dr. Eduard Durrheim - another surgery (in Nelson) told me I needed an extraction; I was in pain and infection was spreading into my jaw...but then said they wouldn't do it as it "had the potential to be complicated", so referred me to an oral surgeon who couldn't see me for over three months. Sent me off with pain and infection, for a 3+ month wait with a few days worth of antibiotics. So, on recommendation, I went to Durrheim & associates; Eduard took a look and agreed this would normally be oral surgery, but agreed to help - made space in the calendar, and had me in and the tooth out within the same week. Top notch - he did a perfect job and really helped me out - I could not recommend him and this surgery more highly.

Fantastic experience: This is my first time visiting a dentist in New Zealand and so far is the best experience. The receptionist is very helpful and friendly. She booked me an appointment shortly. I received professional medical treatment and the price is acceptable. My case is I missed a huge part of my tooth and it required resin filling. Doctor Joju and Nurse Karen worked together and fixed the problem. My new tooth is perfect and I feel no difference. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Amazing clean dental practice, after neglecting my dental care for years finding myself in some horrible pain yesterday they managed to squeeze me in to see Gemma today... She's amazing at what she does!! A comfortable pain free experience

Fantastic experience: About a year ago I suffered from a severe tooth infection that ruined me, I walked in to see if they could sort me out sooner as all other dentists were booked up for two months atleast, the receptionist told me they were also booked up for a few months and they would get me in as soon as they could, after booking the receptionist asked why I was poking my neck and I explained that I was cutting off my blood flow in a certain spot as it was bringing a little relief (I was in tremendous pain to the point my heart beat felt like someone was smashing my face with a rock). She told me to wait 5mins and she will be back, when she returned she told me I'll see a dentist in 15mins and to take a seat, to this day one of the biggest blessings Ive had in my lifetime was to see them that day. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this practice for around 3 years now. I have always felt valued by the team and staff. The ladies at the reception are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Even though they are extremely busy with work, they have always gotten back to me and take their time with me whenever I have any questions. Dr. Edward Durrheim did my implant, and over the course of that time, he has kept me well informed and made me feel comfortable and confident with him, he takes his time to ensure you are not in any pain and he is very patient and understanding. The hygienist and other dentists at the clinic are absolutely wonderful as well. A true reflection of the quality of the team at Durrheim & Associates. Thank you all so much for being the amazing team you are and providing me and my wife with excellent service.

Negative experience: Appauling service from the receptionist. Had 2 quotes,agreed to take the cheaper option and the remaining money to be put into my acc at this dentist,for future reference. AS AGREED ON!!!! Go into my appointment today as my temp crown fell out and needing some more work done! $2,870 1st Quote $1,610 2nd Quote I should have had $1260 in my account with this dentist from my last visit as agreed to!!!!! BIG FAIL!!! NO MONEY!!!! ATTENTION: always get things written on paper,dont just accept what the receptionist had said!!! Wouldnt recommend at all!!!! Feel absolutely rippped of!!!!!!

Negative experience: Used to be ok but now the put everything in the too hard basket and push you off onto wellington outfit that operates in nelson and charges $200 just to look at you.

Fantastic experience: Needed an emergency appointment and they managed to fit me in. Dr Gemma and Lizl were lovely, compassionate and gave me clear options for treatment.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience today with the new hygienist. She is delightful; very friendly, very thorough - I was in the chair for a full 40 minutes - and she explains everything she is doing at all times. She makes the whole thing a pleasant experience. Top marks. (The only downside is the price; $139)

Negative experience: Got quoted $2500 purely just for fillings, all up the end result quote was $4000. Felt like I was being egged on. Contacted a few other dentists when I explained what I was being charged for and for what services, they were disgusted. Never in my life have I been given a quote like this. Also not great care as 2 weeks ago prior to this appointment I got a wisdom tooth removed and in the follow up checkup she mentioned nothing on how it was healing even though I asked. Will not be going here again.

Negative experience: Please be careful with this clinic or at least who you see . They fit me in after a talk to the hospital which was great but I recieved different advice from people who dealt with me. I had an abcess and nothing was done except a tiny course of antibiotics for 3 days, no proper exam or even a look other than the xray, and was told to resolve it sometime next year (vague and also said I'd need 2 teeth removed ect) Antibiotics ran out and was still awful so I saw another dentist who were shocked with the care and immediately made an incision (instant relief) and done an extraction. I felt the staff wanted to go home but gave me absolutely no information or aftercare. I had the chills and all sorts on day 3 and dental pain will kill you. Everyone including other clinics were shocked at how I was shrugged off. You put a lot of trust in the system with an infection. I'm not one to complain but please be careful. Waste of money and time.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, great team working environment. Very professional giving you future tips looking after your teeth. Got my teeth checked and cleaned yesterday and feel absolutely great the next day. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I booked an emergency appointment for a tooth ache and they were able to fit me in that morning! Super friendly staff and was able to diagnose my problem and now I am pain free and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg! Absolutely fantastic highly recommend.

Negative experience: The Dentist was not helpful and only interested in charging my account and had to go elsewhere for good advice.

Fantastic experience: I got teeth ache last weekend and have to see another dentist first as Dr Durrheim's team (visited them beofre) was fairly busy that time,talked to Deb at the Durrheim reception team to advise that my teeth swelling seemed getting worse after taking the anti-biotics from the previous practice the next day,she arranged an appointment for me with Dr Durrheim 2 hours later and get extra prescription from Dr. Durheim, my pain was under control the same night. Thank you team and great team work. Fortunate to have such a caring team in our community as dental health safeguard.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the entire team at Durrheim. Spent a miserable night with no sleep due to a nasty toothache so rang them as soon as they opened and was able to be seen two hours later. X-ray showed a rotten wisdom tooth which was extracted immediately with no time to get nervous! Both Liezel and Gamma were extremely kind and gentle and made sure I was as comfortable as possible with barely any pain. The whole process was over quickly and I was provided with painkillers and gauze to take home. By far the best dentistry experience I've had in my 56 years!
