Fantastic experience: Greats dentists in Johnsonville just started my Invisalign treatment here.

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS I was subject to two failed root canals from this clinic as well as some very unprofessional behaviour from the receptionist. The failed root canals caused one of my two front teeth to go dark grey and required specialist repair work which involved two new holes being drilled into the back of my teeth and sealant being painfully scraped out as the roots had unbelievably been completely filled instead of just plugged. This specialist repair work I should have never required cost me thousands. I will likely be dealing with repercussions from this dismal treatment for the rest of my life. If you are unsatisfied with any treatment from this clinic they will trot out the line that their “dentists are contractors and therefore Lumino holds no accountability”. Seriously shameful business practice. Read the reviews - mine is not an isolated case - save yourself pain and suffering by going elsewhere.

Negative experience: Be very careful and confirm the cost of treatment before booking. My partner asked for a yearly check up and was charged $370 for an appointment that lasted less than 25 minutes. He was told the cost was so high because it included a cleaning as well, but I struggle to understand how he could have been given a $220 cleaning and a $150 exam in such a small space of time. I think this behavior is predatory and we will not be going back.

Negative experience: The female receptionists made my husband extremely uncomfortable, they were rude, unprofessional and honestly came across extremely sexist. Would not recommend this place at all.

Positive experience: Fast efficient repair of my cracked tooth

Negative experience: Absolute factory. Lady rolled her eyes at me. Very rude and don’t recommend. They seem to be especially rude to those who are coming through government funded treatment.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank, very much indeed, Dr Misha Parbhu and her team for seeing me at very short notice on Monday. I am presently staying withy daughter in Wellington, I am from UK. Unfortunately my crown became detached and I needed a temporary repair to last me until I return next month. Dr Parbhu kindly fitted me in at short notice and fortunately was able to give me the treatment I needed immediately. She explained the problem and solution clearly to me. Very efficiently and with great care and kindness she carried out the treatment. I am very grateful to her for her expertise and great skill. The dental nurse and receptionist were also very helpful and extremely pleasant. I am very lucky to have been a temporary patient here! Thank you again! Judith Carter.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience from the receptionist up to the dentist Dr. Nimisha. Its really very rare to find a good and caring dentist that at the same time giving you options. She explains everything and handle my little girl very well. Definitely recommended.

Negative experience: Positive: The dentist was professional, had a lovely manner and explained thoroughly regarding her treatment and management. Negative: Disappointed to receive a rude and unprofessional greeting by the receptionist who in my opinion will benefit from attending communication courses to develop her interactions with clients.

Negative experience: My family used to go there for tooth fix and regular check for a few years, until my partner and I both had failed root canal therapy. By the time we realised that the dentist had already left and Lumino was just playing ball back and forth without taking any responsibility. What makes it even worse is that the alternative dentist they provided gave me a terrible diagnostic/solution: nothing but removing the tooth... I was lucky I didn't listen to their bs any more and got proper treatment from a specialist in town. Hope anyone will not suffer and waste their time and money there.

Fantastic experience: Been a client for a couple of years and found all staff to be friendly, helpful, professional and proficient. And perhaps most important of all, able to complete their dentistry painlessly, including work done on my child. Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Your telephone operator needs to be trained to take calls.. For a country with diverse cultures she shouldn’t expect everyone to speak in a European Kiwi accent! I speak to thousands of New Zealanders over the phone and unless they are racists they haven’t told me “ I find it hard to understand your accent”!! Which is what your operator told me! I was in excruciating pain and was trying to get an urgent appointment. While I was fishing around it was the J’Ville Dental Center that recommended your place ..I spoke to 3 other Dentist places and all of them understood what I was talking about ....thankfully I got an appointment without a question asked at another place that day. Yes Lumino is not recommended for non European New Zealanders !
