Botany Dental Practice | Lumino The Dentists

Negative experience: *Update* Tuesday 5th August 2025 Why did you change your response to “you may have left this review to the wrong business” I did not leave a wrong review to the wrong business there is a dentist called “Dr Kelly” she’s even on your website. You’re located right next coffee and tea lovers in Botany. This just goes to show the lack of accountability that this dental practice has and it’s pretty disappointing to now accuse me of reviewing the wrong practice I will insert a photo of your previous reply. I want to remain anonymous hence why I have used my second email, after hearing what your colleagues said at the reception desk speaking down on other patients and swearing so why would I want this business to know my personal information. This Lumino Botany does not know how to show any sort of empathy not once have they apologised for this and this will forever be a traumatic experience. Please do not go here or see Dr Kelly she was terrible! I have many friends who live out these ways in Botany and they have also had difficult experiences with this dentist Dr Kelly and Lumino Botany. I will never come back to this dental clinic and I hope I bring awareness. 0\5 if there was the option. Saw Dr Kelly the other day and she made me wait 45 minutes in the waiting room. Got into the chair and her assistant next to her kept talking so loudly. Came to get my tooth pulled out but she struggled and it hurt my jaw then she calls in another dentist because she couldn’t do it 0/10 wouldn’t recommend Kelly. Also if you’re going to gossip at the front desk have some consideration as we can clearly hear what you are saying, unprofessional and not up to standards with the rest of the other dental clinics.

Fantastic experience: I don't even have the words to describe the incredible service I got from everyone at this practice! I had a very late appointment and made it last minute, they where so accommodating while making the appointment as it was so late. I accidentally drive to the wrong practice but phoned them as soon as I realised I was at the wrong place. With absolutely no issues they assured me that everything is okay and I can still come for the appointment. Got there and was greeted with a very friendly receptionist and dental assistant. Filled out the form and the dr came and fetched me. He was very professional and very friendly, he also explained evrything very well and thoroughly without any rush to finish the appointment. He advised me that we will have to extract the tooth. He explained everything very well and made me feel at ease with the info. It was so quick and painless, as I am scared of needles the injection were done very good and I barely felt anything. It was over and done with very quick without any rush. The day after (today), they gave me a call to check up and asked how I was feeling. This was very nice as I haven't had dentists call after an appointment. Best dentist I've ever been to. Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: I had noticed a cavity in my tooth and in a panicked state, aware that the Christmas shutdown period was near, went online and found an appointment for the next day at Lumino Botany. Dr Shay was absolutely lovely, and explained everything that needed to be done and why. She was very reassuring and kind. This was such an impromptu, high anxiety visit to the dentist and yet it was the best experience at the dentist I’ve ever had in my entire life. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: After a lot of research and reading of reviews, I have finally found a dentist I could trust in NZ. I just had my first consult with Dr. Kelly today and she’s been awesome. Very pleased with the service, she’s kind, friendly and respectful which made me feel comfortable. She’s developed a plan for me which gave me hope. She’s also very transparent about everything. All the staff I’ve encountered so far are very nice and friendly, too. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy my treatment with Dr. Kelly. She’s very friendly and speaks Mandarin, which makes communication much easier. There’s no need to worry about not understanding medical terms. The whole experience was smooth and pleasant! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Shayeste Irani youre an angel Use to be scared of the dentist because of past experiences but she changed that. Always welcoming and constantly checking up on me during procedures. Every appointment ive had with her has been amazing!!

Fantastic experience: Doctor Arishma Lata and the girls at the reception were beyond awesome. Not only they kept in mind to call earlier if there was a cancelation but they also made sure I was well looked after. Dr Arishma Lata was so gentle during my root canal treatment and kept updating me, what she was doing during the whole process. She was so calm and gentle that made me feel at ease. My son loves going to her for his regular check ups and no my husband is also a regular patient here. We never miss our yearly check ups with her. 5 for sure.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly team, felt taken care of from reception to the dentist chair. I took advantage of the new patient sign up offer at the time and coming back ever since. Big shout to my dental hygienist Nicole, she is amazing and I can 100% recommend. Thanks team!

Fantastic experience: Quite firendly practice in Botany. It is really busy so it is hard to get a booking online. I came in for a check up with X-ray due to a special with Southern Cross. They told me what was needed and booked me in for my next appointment.

Negative experience: Shop around you will save a lot of money. Disturbing the xtra costs added not really there to help you, more make money out of you. :(

They really put me at ease from the moment I arrived. Dr Matt is super informative, gentle and respectful. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time with Nicole the Hygienist and she was brilliant. I am an anxious patient and she went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and took the time to explain what she was doing and if I needed a break or a mouth rinse which was just lovely. As I need to visit the hygienist every three months I know the next time I have the comfort of being with someone who has my needs as her best interest. Thanks Nicole.

Fantastic experience: Laura was really good She explained well what she was going to do beforehand and after the X-Ray she took the time to show me what she find out about my teeth. Very detailed check up. Friendly and professional manner. She will definitely be my dentist from now on.
