Negative experience: Not good kids

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a very positive experience getting my teeth done here. It’s always a bit scary having drills in your mouth, but Elena and her assistant were very lovely. They offered me a stress ball, when I was hit with the shakes they gave a 2min break to calm down and let me use a blanket to ground me. They were having pleasant chit-chat while they worked so I had something calm to focus on. The receptionist is also really lovely, she greets me with a smile and she helped me when I had a question about the forms. When I swiped the payment card she was patient as I figured out which way to swipe it, which seems like a small thing but it made the experience so much less stressful. She gave me a thumbs up on the way out :) Something else very important is that Lumino accepts payment through the WINZ payment card!

Fantastic experience: Elena is an amazing dentist! Knowledgeable and kind. She is now my regular dentist for all appointments in the future. Definitely recommend this practice

Negative experience: After several years of patronage I have been supremely let down with this business' lack of any understanding and un ethical practices. I was a client for several years and had a lot of work done and was a member of the dental hygiene plan. Last year's renewal came through with a whopping 20% increase in premium that was never disclosed or notified. Practice will not even dignify me with a response to my complaints. My advice would be to take your business elsewhere as the experience here has me at a loss. Have been forced to resort to official channels in an attempt to seek resolution. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this dental practice. Despite clearly communicating my anxiety about dental procedures and discussing my preferences for treatment, I was misled about the type of dental work I would be receiving. I was under the impression I was getting implants, but it turns out I was going to be given removable dentures instead, something I was not properly informed about. On top of that, I ended up paying $2,000, and I still have an outstanding balance. I was told that they are keeping the payment and that I am not allowed to return for further treatment, which has only added to my frustration and anxiety. The lack of transparency and care for my health and well-being was incredibly disappointing. I strongly advise others to thoroughly research and ensure they fully understand the treatment plan before committing to anything here.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this dentist enough. I had previously had a horrific experience with a dentist that left me terrified and meant I had no dental treatment for 14 years. These guys amazing and so patient. Worth every penny

Negative experience: Was booked in for an appointment and after getting 2 phone calls to confirm my appointment they cancelled on me the day of the appointment as the dentist was sick. I rescheduled 2 weeks out and got a phone call again 45min before my appointment to say the x-ray machine was broken and they couldn't see me until later in the day. I told them I'll just book elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Visiting the dentist is not something that one would look forward to. However, the team at Lumino Shirley Dental made the experience much better. Right from the beginning, the cost and dental plan was explained very well. The offers and ability to take advantage of the Q Card payment plans. My dentist, Elena, was amazing. She explained every process before and during the treatment. She was very professional, friendly and I think the best dentist I have ever had. Rene was also wonderful and they both worked well together. I spend years between visits to the dentist but the team at Shirley has made be seriously consider getting into a more regular check up plan.

Negative experience: Elena Lazarus Is a very inexperienced dentist. I had multiple extractions it took her half a hour per tooth pushing and pulling trying different tools . Then ended up with dry socket. Was left in severe pain for a week also with jaw infection. She tried to tell me this was normal but I knew from experience that something was seriously wrong. So had to go to another dentist to get the proper treatment. Also very expensive $325 per tooth even when getting multiple teeth removed at same time. I later got a quote from somewhere else was half the price.Iwould not recommend going here

Fantastic experience: I'm just going to copy and paste Adena's comment below because this was the... Best dental experience ever! Elliot communicated the procedure, options and costs very well. She did an excellent job on broken molar removal and even put lip balm on me before starting! She was careful, thorough and kind. Her assistant and the receptionist were also lovely. The receptionist even saved me from being locked in the bathroom. Exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Faultless to a tee. Had a broken tooth and Elena and the team sorted it out promptly, professionally, and with precision. A friendly practice startng right from the front desk with Debbie. A big shout out and thanks from my much happier mouth today.

She did an excellent job on my front tooth filling repair and even put lip conditioner on me before starting! She was careful, thorough and kind. Her assistant and the receptionist were also lovely. I even got a follow up the following day to check everything was OK. So grateful because my previous dental experience a few doors down was terrible!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Elliot Stevens for a few years now and every experience with her and the team at both Shirley and North Avon have been positive ones, even when having to get my wisdom teeth removed. Everyone takes pride and care in what they do and I cannot imagine going anywhere else now. Keep up the great work and thank you!

Fantastic experience: I have been on an long teeth journey with Lumino. Had a real fear of dentists and some bad experiences which resulted in teeth needing to be pulled. By the time I went to Lumino Shirley I hadn't been able to smile for about 5 years. Dr Elliot was amazing so patient and explained my options thoroughly. Now I smile without even thinking about it. I changed my dentist's and choosen this one and I'm so very pleased with my decision. Right from the moment you step in the door until you leave. They take such good care of you.
