Fantastic experience: Auckland was the final stop on my trip around New Zealand, and I desperately needed a hygienist cleaning. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment due to a cancellation. The cleaning was thorough and done with great attention to detail. Both the receptionist and the hygienist were extremely professional and kind. Additionally, this was the most affordable clinic I found. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend it

Fantastic experience: I always wait a few months before posting a review when I receive medical care, spefically dentistry, as it can take awhile to settle, but in this case, my teeth were fine from the moment I left the clinic. It's been two months now. Roger and his team were phenomenal, saw me quickly, managed to fit me in within my timeframe (which was not ideal, but they were so accomodating), they were efficient getting the work done, upfront with pricing, and all of the work was completed without any pain, during or after. I'm super happy with the treatment I received and this is the first time in my life that I've received dental care that was done right, the first time. Highly recommend Roger and his team at Downtown Dental. I might even be making the trip to Auckland just for this in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Downtown dental for almost a decade now. Roger is always willing to answer all your questions. Their new hygienist is also very knowledgeable. Kept going here not just because of Roger's dentistry skills but the warm and personable atmosphere you'll get from entering the clinic all the way to the end. Joce is one of the best receptionists I've ever met and really makes sure to make people feel welcomed and known. I stopped being scared of dentists when I started going here! Price is also comparatively reasonable !

Fantastic experience: 3/2/2020 services rendered: I am from the US and was part way through a long cruise when I broke off half a tooth while flossing. The ship booked an appointment for me. I had no knowledge of this business. I crossed my fingers for luck hoping they would be competent and treat me okay since I would never be a regular nor could I refer any locals. WOW! From front desk staff to the dental assistant and dentist herself, I was warmly welcomed, professionally and compassionately attended to, and received excellent advice relevant to my circumstances of being in transit. I paid my bill with a credit card and it was forwarded by email. The cost was modest (far less than comparable services in the U.S.) and I received top notch care. I recently asked for the chart note and copy of x-ray to share with my dentist (and submit to travel insurance.) They responded fully within 24 hours and personalized the response by asking how I was doing -- as if I was a regular, valued patient! From start to finish, I had an objectively outstanding experience at Downtown Dental. I'm grateful my ship could make such a terrific referral. If I lived in Auckland, I would trust them to handle all my dental needs, make my family go, and urge friends to try them, too. I am grateful for opportunities to advise others of worthy businesses/individuals with the aid of the internet despite the miles that separate us.

Fantastic experience: Originally I was referred to Dr Roger Tiang at Downtown Dental by my parents and have since been visiting him for the past 12 years. Roger himself has a fantastic manner with an exceptionally friendly team from being greeted by the lovely Jocelyn on reception to the hygienist. I enjoy my visits to Roger and his team whilst receiving excellent professional dental care from check-ups, invisalign and now on to the teeth whitening, all with fantastic results. Thanks Roger.

Fantastic experience: Roger and Joyce from Downtown dental are awesome I used to be afraid of dentists as a kid but the team at Downtown are so friendly and great at what they do that they put me at ease and all the dentistry work I had there has been pain free and easy, for the last three years I haven't needed fillings/work done since the first time because they did such a good job Just an annual check up and clean with their awesome hygienist. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Dr Roger and the whole team are fantastic. Roger has a professional manner and is calm and relaxed and really listens to you and works to your budget. Dr Roger in particular, updates his skills constantly, with the latest techniques etc to give patients innovative, clever solutions and has definitely saved my teeth ... without the pain!
