Fantastic experience: I had a toothache for a couple days and my mother booked me an emergency appointment quick with Smile Dental. They were able to smoothly extract my tooth as quick as possible! And i am happy with their result. J healing at home right now but for sure would definitely highly recommend this place I'd like to thank that Dentist for his service

Fantastic experience: Went in for a check up of my wisdom teeth extractions (removed elsewhere). The dentist and receptionist were both so lovely and was such a nice atmosphere to be in. The check in process was quick. They didn't charge me for my quick appointment and they even gave me a syringe & tips to flush food out of my extraction sockets. If you're looking for friendly, efficient care - I definitely recommend Smile on Apollo. They're even open weekends! 10/10

Really nice clean modern premises and lovely staff. Had a slight problem with my antibiotics {my fault} but they fixed the script up for me as soon as I let them know. Negative experience: I felt horrified. I was pinned down by the Dental assistant by my head. I practically screamed the place down as the anaesthetic hadn't kicked in. Fantastic experience: As a patient requiring ongoing care for overseas dental implants, I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and expertise of Dr. Jackie, a dental surgeon whose skills are unmatched in New Zealand. Dr. Jackie is the only practitioner I’ve encountered in the country who has in-depth knowledge and experience managing and maintaining dental implants sourced from overseas providers. I had encountered complications with one of my implants, including severe pain and gum infection. While Dr. Jackie was overseas at the time of the initial issue, he had successfully tightened my implants in the past. In his absence, another dental surgeon attempted to tighten the implant but struggled with the procedure and charged me $100. Despite a partial refund after expressing my concerns, the issue persisted. Upon Dr. Jackie’s return, he promptly assessed the situation and was able to remove the problematic implant in a matter of minutes—a significant relief given the level of discomfort I had been experiencing. Impressively, he performed this service at no cost, acknowledging the simplicity of the procedure despite the clinical importance of the intervention. Dr. Jackie is a true asset to the field of dental surgery in New Zealand, particularly for patients with complex implant needs.

Negative experience: Poor and dodgy service from papakura smile dental, went in today for my 17 yr old daughter and they wanted i.d for her even though she's in the system, I asked for the policy stating that she needed i.d and he gave me a form with me consenting to treatment, the dentist who was an immigrant and very arrogant refused free dental service. There is no policy saying that they need i.d especially if your child's in the system. Its dodgy and seems like they was just wanting her i.d for other reasons don't be tricked in to it. Poor review from us who has used this dental myself for some time now. Will not be returning and have found another dentist who said she does not need i.d if she's in the system as under 18yrs

He was incredibly polite, careful, and genuinely cared about every little detail to ensure my comfort. The best part was that he never rushed. He took his time with everything and made sure it was done perfectly. He also explained everything to me in detail, which really helped me feel at ease. I’ve always had trust issues with dentists, and I know there are cheaper options out there, but I chose to stay with Dr. Yin because of the trust and confidence he gave me. Fantastic experience: my visit was pain free, the surgeon and nurse were both kind and courteous, they were understanding of my situation and poor oral health, the initial exam was pain free and they even assisted me with an application to WINZ. I was also made to feel comfortable enough to come back and I am so very scared of the dentist. my 2nd visit, be it the extraction of 8 teeth was painless on a scale of 1. 0 - little or no pain, 10 - excruciating pain. the initial treatment is for 12 extractions, which I feel comfortable and confident coming back for. As traumatised as I've experienced in the past, My surgeon Michelle was very fast and sufficient and compassionate, her whole professionalism aligned with my health rights, human rights, and the Treaty of Waitangi principles, and as a representative of your company she sure is an asset. I express my gratitude and appreciation for her work. I will be recommending Smile Dental to my whanau and friends. The 3rd appointment to smile dental was amazing once again. I have being recommending it to alot of my peers and so fourth. I will be recommending it to whanau up north looking forward to my next visits.

Negative experience: I went to the dentist after a long while of travelling and not being able to go, I was nervous about what I might need done. I was told I would need over $2500 worth of dental work done. I got a few fillings at the time which cost well over $1000. I decided to wait for the others a few months as that hurt my bank balance and wasn’t crucial. I have just recently been to another dentist in east Auckland - recommended by a family friend, to check up. He took xrays, and did a clean for less than $200 and told me that I in fact didn’t need any of the work which I had previously been told was crucial. I definitely feel like a second opinion is worth it as I was talked into unnecessary dental work.
