Fantastic experience: Rob, a friendly and professional dentist, creates a welcoming atmosphere in his dental office. He has a great rapport with the dental assistant and staff, making everyone feel comfortable. The entire team is helpful and attentive, ensuring a positive experience. I was more than satisfied with the results of my treatment. Arun, the hygienist, also had a great attitude and was very welcoming. He was very cool. Hardest part of my experience was figuring out what to do with my tongue.

Negative experience: I made an appointment with Jane after having some gum pain and she treated my gum infection which was appreciated but made me feel anxious and condescended in the way she talked to me and then told me I was going to need 3k+ of dental surgery. Today I saw a different dentist at a different practice because I wanted a dentist that didn’t make me feel uncomfortable and was told that I don’t actually need any teeth out and they were probably just trying to get extra money out of me. Will never be going to Wellington Dentists again.

Fantastic experience: I went for a dental hygiene appointment with Courtney, she was probably the best hygienist I’ve ever seen! Kind, attentive, non-judgmental and willing to explain everything. And did a brilliant job. Thoroughly recommended.

Negative experience: This place is not ASD or anxiety aware/friendly. I asked for a payment plan several months ago, and instead was referred to a pay-it-forward programme and to book an initial exam. They took a bunch of pretty invasive photos with an iPhone and a mouth opener, and a bunch of xrays, didn't give me any explanation for process or what was wrong with my teeth. I've since had an exam elsewhere without the need for an iPhone (and where are my photos stored exactly?) or mouth opener. There was no explanation about my mouth, the current process, or the next step - like any other dentist would on an initial exam. The receptionist was very clearly in a bad mood, and treated the person in front of me badly too. The person who helped me was more friendly, but didn't give me any explanation. I asked for email and text communication as I'm not good with on the phone - it is extremely difficult and taxing for some people to understand the other person without face to face feedback or time to process things. Of course I never heard back from them. I found the entire thing degrading, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. You can do better. All I wanted was an initial exam, and a payment plan. Edit: Hi Rob Smith, cancelling the free dental programme wouldn’t change my experience, address your rude staff, or acknowledge what I asked for (which was nothing to do with the free programme). Wouldn’t be very charitable of you to cancel it for others and blame me, when I never asked for it nor wanted it. My review, much like other 1 star reviews, is about behaviour and communication issues, that waste people’s time and energy - it’s not me whinging about free dental eligibility, if you had read it properly. Very passive aggressive behaviour in your comment reply.

Fantastic experience: I got two wisdom teeth extracted here. They have amazing dentists! The staff are very understanding about payment and will help you navigate the MSD as a student. The actual procedure by Dr. Lambeth was amazing. She is a great dentist and does quick extractions. Even when the procedure became complex she was very reassuring and explained complex concepts very clearly. She was always checking in on my comfort levels and made sure the process was as easy on my jaw as possible. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Gentle and professional care. I saw Laura Bridger for a check up at the recommendation of a friend. She was kind, non-judgemental, gentle, explained what she was doing, and gave helpful advice. It was the most relaxed I've ever felt at the dentist. I also saw Lauren McHugh for a clean and she did an exceptional job, very happy with the results. A check up with x-rays cost $125 and a clean cost $208. It was easy to get appointment online.

She also provided great detail about my oral health, which I’ve never experienced before and thought that was really helpful to know. Fantastic experience: Just had my first hygienist appointment here and I'm super happy that I've moved to this practice. Arun was friendly, fast and had a nicer technique than hygienists I've been to in the past. Also the first person ever to offer me numbing cream. My first appointment was with Jeff, who was simply amazing. He patiently explained everything, was kind and gentle, and made the procedure go smoothly. The following day, I had my surgical procedure with Laura, and she was an absolute gem. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and everything went perfectly. Negative experience: I had an appointment with the clinic on 1/05/23, six months ago. The experience was good, and the dentist was cordial. However, if I removed a star for each month without an update, there would be zero stars. I paid $171, which included a student checkup and a discounted x-ray that cost around $130. The clinic informed me that they needed to consult with another dentist and would give me an update later. However, after three months, I had not heard any update from them, so I emailed them. They replied that they still hadn't received their second opinion and suggested that I could see a specialist, which would cost me more money. The last thing I want to do is complain, but the fact is, it has been 212 days since my appointment, and spending my hard-earned money on an hour-long appointment that has not progressed at all is frustrating. I honestly feel scammed and that, as a student who doesn't have a lot of money, I don't matter. Going to the dentist is expensive, and in this cost-of-living crisis, you need to be wary of where you spend your money. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone, especially students at all.

Fantastic experience: **Review from a recovering dental-phobic** I spent many years dodging the dentist from fear and trauma. Well, I can honestly say, my session with Caitlin was the most calming dental hygienist experience I've had in my life. I almost enjoyed it?! Isn't that twisted. I thnk she might be the reincarnation of the Tooth Fairy. She checked-in with my pain levels along the way, communicated the procedfure as she went, offered kindess, and allowed for breaks in between each area of my mouth. Don't get me wrong, it still hurt. But I felt safe. You are a legend Caitlin. Plaque free smiles all round.

Negative experience: I rarely post reviews but I wanted to share my experience. Dentists are expensive so you need to know where you are spending your money. I had been having very severe toothaches on and off and on the 11th July, I went to Wellington Dentists. Although the pain was coming in waves, at the time my tooth was okay and I could tell the dentist was a little confused. When they suggested I might be over brushing, the dental assistant snorted with laughter. I stared at her and she just carried on. When the dentist mentioned it again, again she snorted with laughter. I think it goes without saying that this was rude, condescending, and wildly unprofessional. I felt extremely embarrassed and I have no interest in going back here. I've since gone to another dentist who helped address my issue and has come up with a plan if it gets worse again. I'm sure this isn't common, or I hope this isn't but I felt the need to share this. Please do not let this happen to another patient again, it can be hard enough seeking healthcare without being absolutely mocked in the process.

Fantastic experience: Haven’t been to a dentists for 20years due to anxiety! Went to today and they were super friendly and understanding. I felt super calm and looked after, all the team members I met were amazing, especially Dentist Laura who was incredibly lovely, kind and professional and gave me so much confidence to go back.

Negative experience: Was 5 stars but... After the disgusting way they treated my wife because she wasn't able to go to one appointment, I have now switched dentists. This desntist, unfortunately, has the benenfit of location, so they're never short of customers for simple convenience and have since gotten too big for their own shoes and think they can treat people anyway they want. This much is obvous by the receptionists who seems to flip a coin as to who has to deal with you when you walk in and interrupt their oh-so-important daily gossip sessions.

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of my Wellington highlights. Got response to my email request next morning (on the weekend), had a call and the ladies suggested dentist Laura. They were able to assess and suggest treatment by my x-ray provided by me in the email. Got the best price offer without unnecessary sedation suggested by the other doctors. Dr Laura was great - friendly, encouraging, professional - quick and easy extraction of the upper wisdom tooth. Incredibly quick and pleasant healing process. Couldn't be happier, couldn't recommend more.
