Fantastic experience: I got a wisdom tooth extracted a few weeks ago and I was so impressed with the friendly service I just had to write a quick review about it. From the moment walking in and being greeted by the friendly reception staff I was impressed. Just felt cared for and that the team really went out of their way to make me feel at ease and make sure I was okay. I was informed all the way through the procedure, Dr Neeraj Anand did such a good job I had absolutely no pain what so ever! Felt it after the pain meds wore off though ha ha ha :) The follow up calls and text messages making sure I was okay including the post procedure pack they supplied was brilliant. Thank you team for seriously being the most friendly dentist I have ever been to in my life. I would recommend you to anyone at any time. Kind Regards Matthew Rees.

Fantastic experience: I’m really happy to say my dentist is David Hong. He’s such a warm, kind and friendly person and an amazing dentist. I enjoy seeing him and chatting about travel and our love of Japan. He’s been my dentist for about 6 or 7 years. I first went to see him in the central city, and this year made a point of going out to Blockhouse Bay where he is now. It means travelling from the city but I’m happy to do that because I trust him. I needed a root canal and David had done a previous one for me, as well as a couple of crowns. I could have stayed with my dentist in town for this procedure but I knew David would do a great job, but mostly I knew I could trust him and he wouldn’t rip me off. He’s finished my root canal now. I’m really happy. During my first visit, I knew I’d made the right decision. I just got the feeling ‘yeah, I did good’. After that first session, David told me it’d been a tricky procedure and that I might have had to go to a specialist because I had a stray root that was pretty difficult to find. Luckily, he is so experienced he was able to sort it for me. David really is awesome. You’ll enjoy meeting him. I’ve recommended him to friends too. The staff at the clinic are really nice as well!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to this Dental Centre and they’ve provided the best dental experience I’ve ever received. I had some horror stories as a kid so was apprehensive. But Dr Pete Raymond and the hygienists and assistants really put me at ease. I had a completely painless injection and fillings - to the point where I could have had a nap (if not for all the metal things in my mouth)! Dr Raymond explains things very well, has wonderful bedside manner, and it’s clear he loves what he does. After coming here, I won’t be saying “ugh I hate the dentist” ever again.

Fantastic experience: I saw Morgan today, and I was super impressed. I don't leave many reviews, but I think that finding a dentist is kind of scary as it is a bit of a gamble with your health and your wallet, so I wanted to encourage those reluctant to make an appointment. My mom was a dental hygienist, so I'm not knocking the trade, just acknowledging that it can be challenging to look after yourself in any way these days. Not only was the appointment extremely pleasant, but I'm thoroughly convinced that Morgan had my best interest as a patient in mind. I put off going for a while, but I'm excited to have found someone I can confidently visit for all my future dental needs. Looking forward to my next appointment and not stressing about it in the future. Honestly, I kind of didn't want to leave a review for selfish purposes. When you find any spot you really like, it is tempting to keep it a secret. But, she was outstanding in every regard and deserves the business. Thanks for the quality care. Negative experience: Won’t recommend at all. The initial invoice was of 2 fillings which was coming to about $600 something but by the end of the consultation they invoiced me for 4 while when I came for the free inspection I was shown photo of 2 teeth that needed filling, there was never a talk about 4 and at the end I had to pay for 4 from 2 different bank accounts because I didn’t knew before. It’s a scam to take more money from people without actually being clear from the start

Fantastic experience: My experience was perfect; I couldn't have asked for more. I visited after Christmas with a bad toothache, and they managed to see me as soon as possible. Everything was clearly explained to me, and they walked me through the entire process. Fantastic experience: Usually I help my mum with her day to day matters but recently she visited Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre on her own, and the team made what could have been a stressful experience incredibly smooth. The receptionists were welcoming and very helpful, especially with my mum’s registration. She’s not very confident with technology and struggled with the tablet, but the receptionist patiently guided her through it, making her feel at ease. The dentist she saw was equally impressive. They listened carefully to her concerns and explained all the treatment options clearly, giving her the information she needed to make an informed decision. It’s clear the staff here genuinely care about their patients. Overall, a big thank you to the team for their professionalism and kindness. My mum left feeling reassured and well taken care of!

This is mainly a PSA for millennials and Gen Xers who have vivid dental horror stories from their youth, Dr. Lucy eliminated decades of anxiety around such things! She's professional, acknowledges the purpose behind each step, and explains how each action taken will affect you. The assistants that they have are stellar in their performance and manner, and to top it all off, their receptionists are a dream! Hands down the only recommendation I have for dental practitioners! No notes!

Fantastic experience: Been coming here since I was a child - 30 plus years now. The dentists are amazing, Peter Raymond has made my smile look brand new after years of drinking coca cola and smoking cigarettes - you wouldn't know all of my front teeth have been rebuilt! The hygienists are also fantastic, Riya was able to successfully clean my teeth with no pain at all (very sensitive teeth) and I will absolutely be seeing her again! Fantastic experience: The best experience I’ve ever had at a dental clinic. Receptionist was very accomodating over the phone. Got an appt within 2hrs from when I called. Both receptionists acknowledged me upon arrival (both were busy on the phone) ,eye contact and smiles go a long way. Lucy (my dentist) and her assistant ( forgot her name sorry) amazing! Made me feel comfortable and gave me very detailed advice/options through out the whole process of figuring out where my pain was coming from. They made me feel at ease and explained everything clearly. I've never been a fan of going to the dentist, but this experience was truly exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Went based on positive reviews and they were incredibly accurate. I saw the hygienist and she was kind, friendly and very helpful in terms of advice. She also removed stains which I had been paranoid about. I thought the stains could only be removed with expensive teeth whitening services but she managed to do such a good job that I don't need to do that any more. Highly, highly recommended.

Negative experience: Not sure about high rating of this place are they actually real rating ?? Well only them know!!! had my own bad experience of their customer service. Sent them inquiry via their contact form 2 weeks ago just after the new year break never get a response so called them today and was told that they don’t have hygienist available because their old one left so maybe be because of that they ignored my inquiry. No customer authentication there. We just moved to the area so we thought it closer home to get treatment also planning to have few dental jobs done but looks like a very bad start so we going else where our plastic chip appreciated.

Positive experience: I have been to this dental quite a few times, getting my teeth examined and cleaned, feeling the staff are professional and kind. However, until 2 months ago, I went to see a dentist again for my toothache, the dentist checked my teeth and did a x-ray but he told me he couldn’t find any problem but tell me to take panadol. Now I tried to take panadol, apparently it didn’t help and my tooth is still sore. So I had my teeth examined by a different dental centre and the dentist quickly found out the issue - tooth crack. The dentist said it’s a quite common issue. I am very disappointed how could an experienced dentist not find out a common problem. I felt blockhouse bay dental is professional but it turns out not.

Fantastic experience: I had my first wisdom tooth removed by Dr Raymond and by far my best dental experience I've had. I do not have a good track history with dentists and as a result have always feared going to get my teeth checked. Unfortunately I needed to get my wisdom tooth removed and my mother recommended Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre due to her positive experience there. Dr Raymond was very transparent and assured me that the tooth removal process would be as pain free as possible. Considering my past trauma I was extremely nervous going into it - however it was such a smooth transition, he numbed me first with cream which meant I did not feel the injection. A part from a pushing/pulling sensation - I never felt any pain or discomfort. I think I can say I have overcome my fear of dentists and that's all thanks to Dr Raymond and the team at Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre.

Fantastic experience: While I am somewhat phobic about going to the dentist I have always found my appointments at Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre to be positive ones. From a warm and friendly welcome by reception to caring professional interactions with the dentist, hygienists and dental assistants. The state of the art equipment is impressive enough but more importantly I know I am in the best hands with Dr Peter Raymond who explains carefully and reassuringly what will happen and then seems to do it so effortlessly. I am confident that I am getting excellent care and treatment which helps reassure and calm me when I am lying in the dentists chair!

Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient but Dr Pete always makes me feel reassured and comfortable. Treatment is always painfree and I can signal anytime I need a break - though this hasn't been necessary. After years of neglect there was a lot of work to be done so he has worked out a treatment plan in order of priority which makes each visit affordable. I know exactly what the next step will be and how much it will cost so I can budget for it. I also love looking at the travel pictures on the screen above me. He is not only a talented dentist but also a talented photographer! Nice clean premises, easy parking and friendly staff make my visit a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to the dentist for many many years. I developed a tooth ache a couple of years ago so looked around for a dentist. Luckily I found Dr Pete. He knew how anxious and nervous I was and did everything to reassure me he would look after me and make my experience as painless as possible. Fantastic experience: One of the best dental experiences I have had, from the super friendly reception team, through to a very educational hygienist appointment with Rebecca and reassuring consult with dentist Haydn. I have been raving about my experience to everyone and will be back in 6 months for another check up! Just going back to my experience with Rebecca, I learnt some very helpful techniques to keep my teeth clean and got shown exactly what areas I need to focus on… walking away feeling like I got much more out of my visit than just a clean! Whole heartedly recommend Blockhouse Bay Dental!

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist for over two years. I had been putting it off, but finally made the decision to go. I contacted Blockhouse Bay Dental and booked an appointment with Rebecca the hygienist. She was great. She made the experience easy. Then I made an appointment to see Dr (Peter) Raymond for a check up and two fillings (which I knew I needed) but didn't want to do. Dr Raymond was great. He made me feel at ease and comfortable and we just got on and did it. I'm very happy with the whole process. I wish I had done it sooner! It was very easy to book as they have online bookings as well as receptionists who are lovely and try to accommodate you as much as possible. I would highly recommend Rebecca and Dr Raymond as they were both great. Thank you Blockhouse Bay Dental. It was lovely - and I don't think many people say that about going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: If you're scared of the dentist for any reason - fear of pain, embarrassment over the state of your teeth, whatever - the Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre is the place to go. I had a tooth out this morning after months of pain - it took about five minutes and I didn't feel a thing. Amazing. Very kind and gentle dentists who really want to help you have a healthy mouth.

Fantastic experience: Exam by Haydn Gray was quick and painless. He doesn’t ‘make up’ issues just to get you to pay more. All staff that I came in contact with are kind and friendly. Definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: As a new patient, the Staff at Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre were prompt and professional. Good communication and listening skills. Both the Dental Surgeon, Dr Haydn Gray and the Oral Health Therapist, Kinjal Divech were patient in answering my questions, offering up-to-date advice on treatment, preventative care, latest technology and costs without being too technical. They were knowledgeable in their field explaining each step before proceeding during treatment which enabled me to feel relaxed. Although the office is upstairs if you have a mobility issue, it had a welcoming atmosphere being greeted by friendly staff on arrival who were helpful. Being a Senior, it was reassuring to see health & safety practice in place with signs promoting hygiene practices and social distancing. A large tv in place of magazines in the waiting area screening the latest innovations in dental technology was educational. There is a 1 hour carpark outside the building and plenty of on street public parking in a quiet street. Location is convenient with Labtests downstairs next to an accountant office, gas station and pharmacy / retail / supermarket across the road. Overall, I didn’t feel rushed, uncomfortable during treatment or pressured into making on the spot decisions for future treatments. It was also good to share a few laughs with Staff to make you feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible team. I had real issues with going to the dentist and had ignored it for many years. Then I tried to ignore for longer as its embarrassing and you don't want to be judged. I finally had to admit that I had to go, and when I go to the clinic I was feeling very apprehensive and wanted to run for the door ! However somehow this expert team & Pete got me through it, they encouraged me & helped be face what I needed to face, I didn't feel judged , I felt supported & can how go to the dentist & work on the rest of my journey with Pete & his team. To others out there like me - make the appointment with this team and you will be fine :-)

Fantastic experience: A fantastic practice with friendly and professional staff. Hayden's manner was calming and he explained clearly each step as he moved through procedures. The work done was great! I was also really impressed with restorative work done on one of my teeth. I highly recommend B H Bay Dental.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Haydn today to sort out a few issues I had, mainly pain on a tooth that has a root canal. The experience was great, Haydn asked me a few questions, listened to my answers attentively, checked my teeth and got some x-rays. After this we discussed a plan to fix the different issues step by step. I am really happy with his approach and coming back next week to start the process. Looking forward to it! Thanks Team! I have had 2 appointments with Haydn after the initial one. 1- He fixed a tricky filling on one of my front teeth which now looks great! 2- I also had an initial appointment to do a root canal as one of my teeth was very sore. I felt no pain at all during the procedure and now the tooth pain I had before seeing him is all gone! I am really happy about the results! Cheers Marcos

Fantastic experience: Great visit, new tech! I admit I was a little apprehensive about my checkup and cleaning, because I dislike the cold water blaster thingy... but there is a new option!! Thank you so much to Kinjal Divech for walking me through the new AIRFLOW technology and doing a great job. It was fast, comfortable, and did the job. Excellent new technology, a real game changer!
