Fantastic experience: The professional and courteous service I received from Drury Dental was outstanding.

Negative experience: I visited your clinic and received a treatment plan outlining the necessary procedures. A week later, I contacted the clinic to schedule an appointment and asked Dr. Kavendra Naidoo if it was possible to complete treatment on all three affected teeth in a single session, rather than over three separate visits. The dentist encouraged this approach. Later in the evening, I received a revised treatment plan which I was not expecting, and to my surprise, was significantly different from the original! Here are the key issues I encountered: Inconsistent Diagnosis: The original plan indicated I needed two urgent fillings, while the revised plan listed three — without any explanation for the change. Significant Cost Increase: The cost per filling in the second plan was $200 higher than in the first, resulting in a $600 total increase for what appeared to be the same procedures. Lack of Clarity: Communication regarding which teeth would be treated, and whether the fillings would be temporary (to be crowned later if needed) or permanent, was unclear and confusing. What was especially concerning was that the new treatment plan doubled the price per tooth, despite no additional work or evaluation being done in the interim! This change was not mentioned during my conversation with the dentist and came as a complete surprise. I understand that treatment plans can evolve based on further evaluation, but such changes must be communicated clearly and transparently. As a patient, I expect consistency and honesty in both treatment and pricing. Unfortunately, in this case, the lack of transparency has led to confusion and a loss of trust. Reply: Thank you for your response. However, the information provided is again incorrect. The second treatment plan was not created at my request. In fact, I did not expect to receive a revised plan at all, after already discussing and agreeing on one. What’s particularly concerning is that the new plan doubles the price per tooth, despite no additional work or evaluation taking place in the meantime.

Fantastic experience: My 24yo daughter was unwell with infected wisdom teeth. Drury Dental got us in same day for a consultation and the next day for extraction under IV sedation. Dr Naidoo was amazing in both his skill as a dentist and also the way he explained the process and made our daughter feel at ease. Would definitely recommend Drury Dental.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend to all of my friends! Ervi, my two sons orthadonist is amazing. She really knows her stuff, including orofacial and holistic dentistry. Most of all she is so kind and compassionate. My kids are really shy and anxious and they have (amazingly) never had an issue here and are very comfortable. We have had some major unrelated set backs and health issues arise during treatment but we have been so well cared for. The set back could have been a major additional stress and it was not at all thanks to the lovely staff. Thank you so much for your care

Due to unforeseen health challenges with one of our boys we have had to change our plans multiple times in quite extreme ways. Negative experience: Had probably 4 visits in a 1 year span because I kept having pain in one side of my mouth, and kept having a weird rotten taste in my mouth. After all those visits and xrays, Dentist couldn't find anything, all he said was that it was probably in relation to my wisdom teeth that had been taken out 6/7 months prier, and kept putting me on antibiotics (which caused other health issues). Oneday was brushing my teeth, and an old filling just popped out of my mouth, rotten. Took it to the dentist and asked why this had gone completely overlooked, and he said "Well we were really just focusing on your wisdom teeth healing during this time". I am aware certain dental issues can easily be missed, but I think after continued visits, and symptoms that don't go away even with antibiotics, my situation should've been taken care of differently.(However, the reception here is lovely, one of the female receptionists was especially kind to me after I was waking up from sedation.) I have since changed dentists.

Fantastic experience: After half a year of treatment, I decided to write down my true feelings. One of my teeth last year was still very uncomfortable after poor treatment at two dental clinics. I didn't listen to anyone's recommendations and found this one online because I checked online reviews and all of them gave 5 stars. . Dr. Kav decisively asked me to extract the tooth immediately and install a dental implant. I am very grateful to Kav’s team for giving me meticulous care and treatment during the six months of treatment. My new teeth are great! Kav's technique is top notch, and he has also solved other dental problems for me. In terms of price, it is really not expensive here, I have done comparisons. Today, a crack appeared at the root of my other tooth. Although it doesn't hurt, it is very uncomfortable when I brush my teeth. I found similar situations online and almost always need a crown to repair it. Unexpectedly, after Kav examined me, he told me that I didn’t need a crown, just a filling. This saves another expense! After half a year of experience, I will share my treatment process.

Fantastic experience: Having dental issues during travels is no fun, but the staff at Auckland Family Dental: Drury Dental made it as easy as it could be. First, the staff was super helpful and accommodating at helping me get an appointment quickly when I had urgent dental needs (abcess). They got me a prescription to start on antiobiotics the evening before my appointment. Second, everyone I met from check in through my root canal was super friendly and kind. Dr. Kav and the dental assistants kept me informed during my procedure. Then they helped me to get my 2nd root canal appointment scheduled for when I was passing back through Auckland. I so appreicated their flexibility. While I can’t say that I enjoyed my root canal, it was as pleasant an experience as possible. If I lived in New Zealand, this would be my dental center of choice!

Fantastic experience: Dr Kav suggested dental implants as I have many missing teeth. As someone who cannot stand pain and usually has sedation just to have my teeth cleaned, I was very very reluctant. However, Dr Kav reassured me I would not feel any pain and how true that was. I now have implants to fill in key gaps and after 15 years I can finally eat properly and no longer have issues biting my tongue while sleeping as it used to go into the gaps. I highly recommend Dr Kav.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my wire come loose, so I booked an appointment. A day later it had almost completely come off and was very uncomfortable. Despite being fully booked Louise very kindly squeezed me in and it was fixed with 24 hours. Great service, will be back!

When I moved to New Zealand I was gutted because I left my forever dentist. It was 9 years before I found Dr. Grace. I hope she never retires.

Fantastic experience: I experienced my first ever toothache and when I tell you I would rather go through labour contractions then have another toothache I am not even lying! After spending $340 at another dentist and have the pain get worse rather than better it took one night of no sleep and being in tears from the pain to google around another dentist for a second opinion and I came across this company. The angels were definitely on my side, I explained my situation and the pain I was in and got a prompt response saying I could come in that afternoon and get it checked out. I turned up and instantly felt at ease. The place looks and feels like home. The lovely lady at reception greeted me with a beautiful smile and was so lovely. From the reception to meeting with Dentist Grace and her assistant my experience was wonderful. I felt well informed and I love that I got given an exact amount of what ill be paying not given a “oh it can be this but it might be this” so loved the transparency. I got two wisdom teeth removed and a dental clean and tbh I always dreaded the day Id have to get my first wisdom removed due to hearing such horror stories but Grace was so good that it was painless and quick. Would definitely recommend to anybody and everybody and this will be the only dentist I ever use from now on.
