Fantastic experience: I have been to a few dentists in Christchurch over the last 8 years. I visited Joanne au who gave me a full plan for required work and hygienes and forwarded me to get my wisdom teeth out, she’s took a tooth and gave me some fillings with no issues. Pleasure to visit this place and feel very looked after. Thank you

They followed up with a call to confirm details and showed great care. The appointment itself was straight forward and the team were incredibly welcoming, my dentist was amazing, talking me through the procedure and the why, they discussed payment and ensured I knew completely what was going on. Superb service, I will be visiting again for any further dental work

Professional, friendly, and thorough but it felt completely unrushed. My problem is not fully resolved yet but I finally know what the problem is, and we have a plan. Fantastic experience: I've seen several dentists at Pathway Dental to manage my dental health and I'm deeply satisfied with all of them.

Positive experience: Book over phone, not online. They somehow lost my online booking despite an email confirmation. Otherwise 5 stars, Max is a great dentist.

Fantastic experience: I am very dentist anxious,well I was till I met Max and the caring staff!!!! Put my mind at ease immediately and sorted my issue. Explained everything, was very gentle and just put my mind at rest straight away. I'm almost 60 and dentist visits haven't been on my radar much I must admit. I will however, go back to Max and the hygienist knowing they will take good care. Pricing was surprisingly good too.

Negative experience: The dentist I saw - Dr D Chen April 2023, was not informative or confident enough. She was not a good communicator and sometimes appeared impatient. Given the subsequent effects of tooth extraction, basic yet important information would have been useful and expected prior. Somehow - if you get an extraction your teeth will move, was completely missed from the conversation. She appeared to lose interest quickly in me as a patient when I chose the extraction (and subsequent implant and crown later elsewhere) over a root canal and crown option. With some health and longevity concerns about root canals, I made a decision with what knowledge I had acquired previously elsewhere. Dr Chen could have easily seen that there was plenty more work and money available in my mouth for later, yet she hurredly ushered me along to reception as if to clear the chair for the next patient.

Positive experience: Visited Pathway Dental looking for solutions to my terrible toothache as I wasn’t happy with service elsewhere and I am very impressed. Max and Mila showed empathy and understanding and everything was well explained. I had the first part of a root canal and still have a way to go but the terrible pain is gone and I can see a way forward. I would recommend. Charmaine

Fantastic experience: I have had several times over the last year where I have needed a good dentist and I feel very lucky to have Max and Mila from pathway dental are my go too. Literally the best dentists of my life. Max explains the process so well and its pretty much painless, even when it comes to the bill! They are a team who listen to your anxiety's and make it as easy as it can be. Thank you for such a great, friendly professional service. Totally recommend them.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible experience I've had with Danni! I have always been so nervous and anxious about my dental journey due to past traumatic experience, but after my first consultation with Danni, I knew I was in good hands. From the warm and friendly smile I was greeted with, to the amazing level of care that she provided, I can not fault her service. She listened and understood my unsettling nerves and she was so patient and gentle with me. Checked up on me multiple times during the treatment and that was quite comforting. I've had a few visits now to see Danni and every time, she goes above and beyond! Almost fell asleep during the treatment today and that says a lot about the level of care and gentleness I was given. It's one thing to be exceptional with your patient but Danni takes it to another level with how she interacts with her assistant. She is so respectful and courteous and I absolutely admire that. I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits, all thanks to Danni and team :)

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment on line at 1.am for a tooth ache . The next day dentist Dani went through my options in detail and a price . I agreed to have my tooth worked on . Fantastic experience: Can't recommend Pathway Dental enough. My oral health isn't the best so I tend to get very anxious and embarrassed going to the dentist. However, my experience with Danni was absolutely fantastic. She is really lovely and goes above and beyond to talk you through everything she's doing. She also organised a referral to a specialist for my wisdom teeth (as they required IV sedation) and honestly, both Danni and Rohit are genuinely lovely people who are extremely good at what they do. I'd recommend Danni to anyone but particularly if you get anxious over going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: In pain and seeking urgent out of working hours dental care I stumbled across Pathway Dental and found myself in an alternative universe of dental care. From my initial contact by email which was attended to instantly, giving me immediate peace of mind to my astonishingly much less than expected bill I was in awe of my whole experience. As I entered reception and was greeted by smiling faces I was struck by the opulent comfortable layout and thought that this was going to be an expensive visit, a thought reinforced when I saw the state if the art surgery and equipment. Then I met Madi who assisted by Olga immediately put me at ease and professionally and with more care and consideration than I have ever received at a dentist before dealt with my dental issues. If I was a millionaire I don't think I could have found a better experience. Thank you Pathway Dental, I am now pain free and not broke and my fear of dentists is over at last.

Fantastic experience: A back molar cracked (previous filling from elsewhere) while flossing. I was able to get an appt the next morning (on a Sunday) and saw Max. He showed such patience in getting the right amount of anaesthetic (I’m on meds that made it tricky, needed a lot more than usual). Pricing was great and all round a really positive experience. Will be booking in for a comprehensive check up soon :)

I used to have a real fear of the dentist and now I can rest easy knowing that next time I need something done I can just go see Danni. Fantastic experience: I called up in the afternoon with a toothache and in a huge amount of pain. They were able to accommodate me last minute which was great! I was very nervous to get the tooth extracted (first time) but I could not have asked for a better experience. They explained it all and it was painless and quick. If I ever need a tooth out again, I'm coming back to see Dr Danni! She was amazing! Everyone who I spoke to there were so kind! Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: I've had longstanding bad experiences with dentists as a kid that left me scared to go to them, but after realising I had an emergency problem I knew I shouldn't put off I sighed a heavy sigh on my search for a dentist that wouldn't leave me feeling terrible. And Pathway went so above and beyond on that. It's not often I could say that a medical office was the most chill and calm part of my day, but it was. From the beautiful reception area to the awesome skills of Joanne and David who got my problem tooth out promptly and with zero pain. Seriously, it was a great and gentle experience, and I didn't even need to be bribed with a "good patient" sticker to write any of this :P Thank you all at Pathway for your awesome work ❤

Fantastic experience: Madi and the Pathway team are the nicest healthcare professionals I have ever come across. Madi made me feel relaxed and right at home after not having been to a dentist in 10+ years. She explained every procedure thoroughly and was really gentle when the tools were in the more sensitive areas - a far cry from the old school dentist A.K.A. “The Murder House”! I can’t recommend Pathway Dental enough, you guys will be the only dentist I go to from now on! Special shout-out to Madi - she’s the favourite!

Fantastic experience: Like most people, I have always dreaded going to the dentist but my experience at Pathway Dental with Madi has absolutely changed my perspective. The practice itself is very clean which is nice to walk into and the receptionists are very friendly. I was so nervous for my check up however Madi was so kind and explained everything thoroughly. I felt like I could be honest about my dental habits without any judgement. With my autism, I often have significant sensory issues with the dentist. Madi respected when I needed breaks and let me use my accomodations such as ear plugs to help me through it. I cannot recommend the practice or Madi enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to pathway dental since 2018 always had really great service was really worried about seeing someone new after Nathan left as he has always taken such good care of me but my worries were un-founded. Had a tooth emergency and the dentist I saw was very empathetic to the severe pain i was in. She walked me through every step and really made me feel at ease I was ready to fall asleep while they were drilling my teeth. Very happy

Fantastic experience: As a person who hates the dentist with a passion these guys make your experience so much better. Madi is awesome and her assistant Rebecca (I think her name was) I had painless fillings, they were attentive and Madi explained everything super thorough so I knew what our plan was. I was also in recently for a hygienist visit. Genevieve is super kind and make feel relaxed, she even popped on Netflix for me to distraction. My teeth look great. Definitely recommend the team at Pathway for anyone looking for a super caring and considerate dentist :)

Fantastic experience: I saw Dentist Dr Soon Jee and Olga -Dental Assistant recently for a small issue that was best fixed sooner rather than later. They were All brilliant from the wonderful receptionist onwards and nothing was a bother. for any of the Team. They always go over and above the call of duty. As per my previous reviews, the Team at Pathway Dental have consistently provided Exceptional service and always with a smile. I definitely will be continuing to recommend their services to friends and Whanau / Family. Pathway Dental Team are Exceptional in my experience! From the warm, welcoming and efficient Reception Team : Kay and Tina to the very professional yet inclusive/ patient-centred and very gentle Dentist Nathan and Olga Dental Assistant as well as my observations of Practice Manager Joey ensuring that everything is running smoothly, I have total confidence in the Team. I have yet to meet the other Team Members, however all staff I have seen in the reception area had a smile, were warm, welcoming and very considerate with everyone. I was also pleasantly surprised at the treatment costs. The extended hours also suit me very well re: working around my own business. Thank you very much to the Pathway Dental Team! Having attended appointments at Pathway Dental over the past year, I remain really impressed by the exceptional service from the whole Team. Recently, I saw Soon Jee ( Dr Soon Jee Low) and his Dental Assistant Treesa as Nathan ( Dr Napat Sombunya) and Olga - Dental Assistant who I generally see were unavailable. As per all of my previous treatments, Soon Jee's treatment was exceptional and Treesa made sure I was totally comfortable. Nathan and Soon Jee consulted about the tooth issue prior to the appointment I was attending for and had a fully collaborative team approach. The quality of all of the dental care has remained very high quality and nothing is a bother for the wonderfully efficient receptionists Kay and Tina the incredibly efficient front entry team for the practice, in doing their very best to find an appointment space to suit within the busy work and family/ whanau lives we all lead. Joey the practice manager quietly keeps an eye on the running of the practice so all runs smoothly for the patients/ consumers. Thank you very much again to the Great Team @ Pathway Dental. 5 stars and I fully recommend Pathway Dental Team .

Fantastic experience: Everyone was great, friendly and professional from the reception, dental assistant (Mili - hope I spelt correctly) and awesome dentist Max. I had great anxiety (dentalphobe), which has kept me from visiting the Dentist. Max was excellent, friendly, professional, attentive and was so caring and gentle.Not one but I had three tooth done (1 filling and X2 wisdom extraction). I highly recommend Max as he checked on me few days afterwards since it was my first dental procedure. I was well taken care of before and after. Well explained and happy with end result. Thanks Max. Positive experience: I can't fault the team at Pathway Dental, especially the expertise of Bara'a in making my partial plate so well and comfortable.

Negative experience: Children's dentist could smile, encourage and atleast talk to the child... make it a more comfortable experience. You would think they would be trained to do that ? Other than that dental treatment for adults is great, great service, friendly and nice and clean.

The dentist I saw was very gentle, informative and the receptionist and dental assistant were very caring. I was fully informed from the moment I stepped into the clinic. Fantastic experience: I have been a using Pathway Dental for over 3 years now. They were very good in my previous visits and they were just great in my last visit. Fantastic experience: One of the best Dental Clinic I have experience. The whole clinic feels very clean and modern, the supporting staffs are very friendly and professional, as soon as you walk through the door, you feel very welcome. The chair itself feels very high tech and comfortable. Shout out to Dentist Joanne who helped planned out my dental treatment and help with my dental anxiety, but all the dentists are super friendly and professional. I would 100% recommend others to this clinic.

Fantastic experience: The team here are absolutely amazing and so kind. I went in for a second tooth extrication the first one I felt perfectly fine getting out. This second one I started panicking and they helped me calm down as best as they could. I was super embarrassed as a 23 year old crying and they had assured me It’s okay, I can’t thank the team enough for getting the tooth out and keeping me calm ❤️

Fantastic experience: Have been to a few Dentists in my life, but I can honestly say this is the best one I have seen. The explanation of what the issue was and how it was going to be sorted was very clear and easy to understand. We now have a plan in place to get me back on track. Thanks again.

Negative experience: I was sadly disappointed with my experience here. I came in for an appointment and was told I need we a root canal or implant for one tooth. Im not very keen on root canals so I was enquiring about implant options. My body reacts to a lot of metals so I was asking the dentist who does implants about alternatives to titanium implants. She told me she has never heard of anything other than titanium being used for implants. I asked if this was specific to Pathway dental or NZ wide. She said she has never heard of alternatives to titanium being used in NZ, but perhaps overseas they do it but not that she’s heard of. Their website describes options for ceramic and zirconia implants as alternatives to titanium for people who have allergies. I was confused by the mixed information given so I emailed after asking for clarification on what they offer vs what the website says. My questions were unanswered and then a follow up email was ignored. If I’m going to spend up to 7k on one tooth, it’s not going to be with a dentist who can’t answer basic questions about what services exist or what their website states.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had an incredible experience today with Pathway. We visited after hours and amazing, they're open on Sunday. Super professional and Informative advice from Dr Max S, couldn't recommend him more. The staff are amazing, the clinic is beautiful. Took time and care and everything was thoroughly explained.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time at Pathway Dental. Great communication throughout my 3 visits for work I required. Had 3 fillings and a sealant and it was the best dental experience of my life, from the quality of work and pain relief and cost of the work was great. My dentist was Danni and she is great at what she does, helped me understand about my teeth and relieved any anxiety about some of my teeth. So would recommend Danni and Pathway dental practice I was really pleased with them and will be back again.

Fantastic experience: I have been to other dentists in chch and always felt judged or taken advantage of in terms of money. I felt so comfortable coming here last year as my overall health wasn't great and then affecting my teeth. They really work with you to help make dental hygiene easy at home and make a plan to tackle any work you need done on your teeth. And I just got a text for a check up which I'll arrange asap

Fantastic experience: I visited Pathway Dental today for my dental hygiene appointment with Genevieve. Even though I was a bit late, she welcomed me with a smile and was happy to treat me. She was very professional that I didn't even feel any pain during the teeth scaling. I felt so refreshed afterwards. She also gave me some advice on how to maintain my teeth until our next appointment, which was super helpful. This dental has a great vibe, and also the receptionist is lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

Not having my front 4 teeth to start with was embarrassing enough but Bara’a made me feel comfortable and was very professional and answered all my questions. Fantastic experience: I've had some big anxieties over the years when it comes to dentists which made it hard to go, but after my experience yesterday I realised it wasn't so bad at all and I can certainly see why their reviews are so high. Their reception is very nice and comfortable while waiting and the receptionists were lovely. I was seen by Madi and Rebecca and they were just so incredibly nice, professional and thorough with explaining everything I needed to know. I can't express enough how good an experience this was, thank you! You've made it not so scary and I will definitely be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: I lost a filling this morning at 8am and phoned a few dentists but wasn't having much luck getting an emergency appointment. I phoned Pathway Dental and was offered an appointment within a few hours.. Thank goodness! The clinic is very clean and modern. Receptionists were very nice, helpful and efficient. I was seen by Madi (dentist) and her assistant Rebecca who were both lovely! Madi was great! She made me feel very comfortable and explained my options very well. She was so gentle and reassuring. I will now keep Pathway as my regular dentist. Thank you for sorting my tooth so quickly, much appreciated

Fantastic experience: I am on holiday and developed an abscess. I booked a next day appointment with Max Stephenson. He and his assistant were brilliant. I am a dentist's worst nightmare but they chatted away to distract me and were very patient. Compared with UK prices they were very reasonable. I couldn't have wished for better.

Fantastic experience: Took my son there for emergency dental and was taken care of by the doctor there. He was absolutely amazing, gentle and very careful; took extra steps to check up on all my son’s decayed tooth. Can’t recommend enough!!!
