Fantastic experience: The week before Christmas I developed a bad toothache but as we had only recently moved to Katikati from Palmerston North, I was turned away from several dentists that I called as they were booked out Fortunately ER Dental 7th Avenue was able to fit me in the next day. I arrived with some trepidation as I have always had problems with my teeth and more pain was the last thing I wanted before Christmas Werner was able to put me at ease straight away and explained what he was doing as he examined my tooth and then sat me down to discuss the best option I ended up having the molar extracted and during the procedure was offered more pain medication if I needed it I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had with a dentist in my 60 years so I have no trouble recommending this practice The cost was very reasonable and the coffee machine in the waiting room is a nice touch Thank you team Joan

Negative experience: Just over 3 years ago I had a bridge fitted plus a crown on another tooth. Despite their so called "state of the art" 3D scanning and manufacturing of the bridge /crowns at the cost of $5900, the bridge has now failed on one of the molars, as well as the stand-alone crown. This poor workmanship has resulted in the loss of one tooth and is costing me thousands more for an implant and new crowns. On top of that I never received any follow up from this clinic despite the cost of $5900. To put this extremely disappointing short lifespan of their crowns in perspective, I had a crown fitted on another tooth by another dentist in 1986 which is still in perfect order. Suffice to say that I have long ago transferred to a much better dental clinic in Tauranga.

Fantastic experience: Have not been in a situation that I’m speechless but Candice was amazing cleaning my teeth and explaining the process. Felt good when I walk out the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Today I had a hygienist appointment with Candice. It was a very positive experience. Candice took time to explain what she was doing and why. She took care to cause minimal discomfort and regularly checked I was OK. Thanks Candice.

Negative experience: This is about Candice Taylor hygienist at ER dental 7th Avenue in Tauranga. The appointment was on 28 Nov 2024. The treatment was alright but only half done and ending up having to make another appointment ?? (but did not do it ) Normally it is just one appointment She did not use the high tech equipment (airflow ) that was REASON in the first place when we made this appointment . After the treatment when we started to discuss this Candice was getting defensive towards my wife who was not allowed to engage in this conversation according to Candice because she was not the patient. My wife was just making a point to what's happened . She didn't care about me making the next appointment ,like not interested ? Will not come back here because of Candice approach. Not a happy customer ! Would you visit a hygienist - cleaning only your lower teeth and told you to come back for another visit to finish the upper teeth ?(Means another payment again? ) Never experienced in my life and this was the first time. You booked for cleaning for all your teeth upper&lower and the use of air flow. And this didnt happen. Please give us a feed back ,thanks

Fantastic experience: Candice Taylor is the best hygienist. Absolutely so grateful for how comfortable she made me during my treatment. So calm and gentle proving that extra care when you’re nervous. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Candice the hygienist for the first time today. She explained everything clearly, was very reassuring and careful with me after I explained I was apprehensive due to a terrible experience with a hygienist years earlier. She checked in with me regularly and I really appreciated her empathy and care. I was happy to make another appointment to see her again.

Positive experience: Not entirely happy with my experience today. I was told toward the end of my appointment that my wire on the bottom of my front teeth from my Invisalign treatment was broken after a vigorous scale and polish. When I said, "Are you sure you didn't break it?" She replied no, and that she would've told me, but if it was already broken why didn't she tell me when she was working on this area and not at the end of the polish.

The before during and after treatment was all excellent, being advised several options of treatment and what to expect in each case. The actual work was done carefully, by both Werner and the dental assistant. I was given several breaks. Pain relief was kept at a comfortable rate. Fantastic experience: I came to Dr Werner with a small hole in my molar. I was honest about my nerves and he made me feel at ease by explaining everything to me beforehand. I ended up having the hole filled and the result is great and very minimal pain (injection). Best experience to date with a dentist.

Fantastic experience: After shifting to the Mount from Auckland I was looking for a dentist. ER Dental wasn’t my first choice. I tried a dentist in Mount Maunganui first but did not feel comfortable with the extent of the first visit or the recommendations given. So then I found ER dental. Werner and team were extremely welcoming, provided explanations of what they were doing and full run down of what they found. Werner compared it to a WOF. And it was just that. What needed addressing soon and why, what might need addressing later and options on each stage with pricing indications. I am very happy to have found my new dentist here with ER in Tauranga. Absolutely recommend.

Positive experience: This is a new dental practice to me. I broke a tooth and they fitted me in with little fuss. Examination was simple and clear with the options explained in detail. Treatment was same day! A crown was made on site in an hour. Practitioner and nurse were kind and recognised my needs and wishes. The only pain was the bill. I am sure it was nothing out of the ordinary its just dentistry is so dam expensive in NZ.

Fantastic experience: Ì was met outside by a staff member who showed me where the ramp for my wheelchair was. The next hurdle was getting over the lip of the ŕanchslider which I managed beautifully. I would have liked the staff to have introduced themselves at the beginning. Otherwise I was delighted with the caring way the staff treated me. Dalton is extremely good at his job & took great care with my tender exposed nerves! I made a further appointment to keep my teeth tartar free. There was nowhere on the medical details list to put the most important fact - that my ailment is Multiple Sclerosis. A very happy client went away feeling blessed that I was looked after so well.
