Fantastic experience: Hi, may I ask if your clinic provides full root canal treatment — meaning the whole process can be done here without needing a referral to a specialist? Thanks!

Fantastic experience: The best dental practice I've been to Hands down! , I was reccomended this place by my family who couldn't speak highly enough, so I took the advice and couldn't be happier, from consultation James took great care of my requirements and sorted everything out in short notice aswell as referring me to the hygienist Tia that same day As I had booked twice in one day , I was anxious how bad could get, but I was surprised at how gentle and kind all the staff were, I'm not looking back from here.

My experience was comfortable and I was well accommodated, they took all the stops to make my visit as easy as possible. Thank you Dr Emily Yeo and the team! Fantastic experience: After neglecting my dental care due to bad experiences with other clinics I was recommended Victoria dental from a family member and I couldn’t sing their praises more if I tried. I have spent majority of this year with this practice. My main dental care was taken care of by Emily and my hygienist follow ups were with Tia. Both of them made sure I was comfortable in my appointments and took the time to be understanding and patient with me regarding my nerves towards dental work.Also a shout out to Jo the practice manager here who was always welcoming and happy to have a pre appointment chat in the waiting room to make me feel at ease and had amazing communication with reminders for upcoming appointments. Victoria dental 100% put my faith back into dentists. Thank you guys so much for everything ❤️

Fantastic experience: While on holiday, I unfortunately broke a crown off. Victoria Street Dental were able to fit me in within a few days and re-fix the old crown back on. Extremely helpful and polite with a great service. Highly recommended. I even received a top tip on a local restaurant!

I cannot sing Sarah's praises enough, she was super nice and really informative, including getting another dentist to provide a second opinion prior to the agreed treatment plan. I really respected and appreciated this and it gave me a great deal of confidence and trust in this practice. She is gentle and ensures patient comfort all the way through the treatment process.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service. It was amazing being able to get an extraction done on short notice, and right before Christmas. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Just finished my Invisalign treatment here. Pros: Great customer service from Receptionist Jo; very easy to book/change an appointment with her help. Dentist James never made me feel scared or nervous during the treatment. Great environment; very comfortable to be there. Cons: Much longer adjustment period than expected, with one tooth still not in the right position. 2/3 trays were very loose; didn't feel they worked on my teeth, which is why it took very long. Never got asked in detail how each adjustment went. When I raised the issue, I received a quick and blurry answer, leaving me feeling like my treatment and time weren't valued. I never disagreed when James wanted to do anything on my teeth, but when seeing the bottom middle two teeth still haven't fully gotten tidy. James just said it's because it's a crowded place for them. I was shocked to hear it. Overall, the result is not as expected and not consistent with what the 3D model showed. I give it an OK. Not sure if it's due to James lacking professional technique or attitude, but I don't recommend getting Invisalign here.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience with Tia today. She was friendly, reassuring and best of all, did a thorough job. I have had plaque on my front bottom incisors for years and she left them sparkling clean! Definitely worth a visit if you want to leave with a smile!

Fantastic experience: This morning, I turned up unannounced at 08:00 - I am from Wales(UK). I had lost a large filling, upper left 2, and it threatened to ruin my holiday. Didn't really expect them to be able to see me. The excellent receptionist listened carefully to my needs and arranged a consultation for 09:30 today!! The Dentist again listened carefully and took great care in the permanent, not temporary as expected, repair of my tooth. Amazing service and professionalism. Also, no need for me to se my own Dentist on my return. Thank you unbelievably; was able to arrange a consultation

Fantastic experience: Have visited Emily at Victoria Street Dental as a new patient for a bit of work and I couldn't rate Emily or the practice highly enough. They took such good care of me in the chair and were super empathetic and kind! Emily explains everything that is happening and gives good, honest advice about what the best treatment plan is for you. The practice itself is super clean and modern and the equipment they use is all well kept and modern too. You definitely feel like you're in the right place when you sit in the chair! Prices are super competitive with other central dentists and I would argue their quality of work is superior to any other practice I've visited in Wellington. Thanks heaps again team!

Fantastic experience: Would give more stars if I could. Wonderful, proffessional service. James is a fantastic dentist and evidently takes great care to ensure you're as comfortable as possible. The assistant was just as lovely and skilled. Prices are great, and so are the comfy, squishy chairs. I didn't feel any pain, which is so far from my last experience at another dentist where I had tears rolling down the sides of my face. I received no judgement for neglecting to visit a dentist for many years, and my fear of going to them has now disappeared. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a pain free, proffessional, expert and welcoming clinic.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have ever seen in Wellington. James was professional and courteous. I went in for an examination, x-rays and a thorough clean. James made the effort to ensure the process was as painless as possible. He also took the time to explain my x-rays and how I can improve my flossing technique. I really like how they are transparent with the approximate cost on their website. My one hour appointment was $236, which matched what I was expecting. The receptionist, Jo, was also very friendly and chatty, which helped put my nerves at ease.

The practise manager Jo was also kind enough to make sure I arrived home safely after the procedure. Fantastic experience: James has done a brilliant job on my teeth!! I did the Fastbrace at another dentist, and a black triangle appeared between my two front teeth at the end of the treatment, and the dentist told me that she could not solve it through IPR. So I found James and he used IPR technology to close the black triangle perfectly for me. My teeth are now very beautiful. James is a very patient and very skilled doctor!！❤️

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say that James is the best dentist I have ever been to. I was so scared and nervous and to go to a dentist in new zealand and upon reading the reviews I decided to see James. I have had to have a few procedures done and I can say that It was the best experience. I dont have enough words of praise for him. He is polite and kind and informative and he even gave me headphones to listen to my music so I dont hear the noise. You cannot feel any pain either when he works. I've been so impressed by James and his team that I decided to make them my new permanent dentist. James is very detailed oriented, talks you through exactly what he's doing an is never judgemental about the condition your teeth and gums are in. Jo and Amy are also lovely. Fantastic experience: After avoiding any dentist at all due to fear for quite a few years, mostly due to my 1960’s dental clinic experiences ( stuff of nightmares) I finally had to deal with it & searched for a well reviewed Wellington dentist. James had consistently great reviews, however I was still very nervous & a bit sceptical. Any fear I had was quickly gone, Jo is so friendly & helpful & James is so kind, gentle & extremely professional. Everything is explained thoroughly & options discussed. He really does understand that there’s a whole generation of kiwis, some of whom have had terrible dental experiences, which helps a great deal, he gets it! I feel like I’ve finally found a great dentist I can trust. I recommend James without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: Had 2 implants placed by Dr James Au. I am a typical nervous patient who is terrified of going to the dentist. However, he made the whole procedure simple and painless. both implants were placed without any issues. The recovery was seamless. I cannot wait until I get the crown put on after the implant has healed. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had great fear seeing a dentist because of traumatic root canal done in my teen!! But Hats off to Dr James Au, his root canal procedure was totally pain free and he made me feel so comfortable. At no point I felt like someone is touching the tooth. He is so friendly, humble, and explains every bit of your problem and the procedure in detail n makes u feel good at all times. I would recommend him to anyone. He is a great example of how a doctor should be. So grateful to see him at the right time after suffering so much toothpain the night before seeing him. Morever the Qcard payment makes it easy to plan your budget if you have an unexpected horrible toothache. Thanks a lot Dr James !!
