Fantastic experience: A big thank you to Dr Krystal and her lovely team. My orthodontic work was done with All Smiles Dental, and my teeth look amazing! Dr Krystal and her team were so great at communicating what treatment looked like for me and my teeth and explained clearly what she would do every step of the way. She even went a step further to fill in my chipped teeth, balance out my gums and clean my teeth at no extra cost. After experiencing her high-quality work, I signed up my son and referred my family members to her and her team. Fantastic experience: All Smiles is excellent. I’ve never loved going to the dentist so much! The team are so lovely, welcoming, experienced and in preparation for my wedding they were a dream. I did some at home whitening and Kristal also suggested some gum contouring- which made my smile so picture perfect. Couldn’t recommend them enough, I’m so glad I found them.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is never really fun, but the team at All Smiles make it a pleasure. They're incredibly knowledgable and so gentle and compassionate - recently taking care of my first clean in a while, and a couple of fillings. I also took my son for a check because I knew their expertise would be exceptional - and it was!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a lot of work done here this year, and I’m pleased to have finally found people I can trust to do a great job. Thanks Krystal for your precise and thorough work, Andrea who did a fabulous clean, and Jasmine and Talia who are kind and helpful.

Negative experience: While the staff were lovely and the service really good; the results weren’t there. I looked worse after my treatment than before and when Kristal acknowledged it and understood my disappointment, she still took 100% of the fees. She said the only way to fix it was through surgery at my own cost of course. I had communicated through my treatment my concerns as I could see it was not going the right way, but she kept brushing it off. Lesson is learnt, there is a difference between a dentist trying to do orthodontics and an orthodontist. There’s a good reason why she was cheaper.

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews but I went to All Smiles Dental for about 5 years and I've only ever had an awesome experience (as much as you can have at the dentist :) ). All of the staff are lovely - a special mention to Krystal, Jess, Grace and Kisane. As someone with a huge fear of the dentist (as well as having a lot of teeth issues), I really appreciate the kindness of the team. I've moved overseas now but I hope to find a clinic that is even half as good :) Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Recently I had teeth extraction treatment at All Smiles Dental. I was very nervous but Dr Krystal's calm and friendly manner immediately put my mind at ease. She is very experienced and confident and everyone in the clinic is so helpful and patient. They answered all of my question and provided lots of support. A special mention of Jasmine Mills, here is a must who made sure to contact me to advice me of what to expect on the day and followed up after the procedure, making sure I was well.

Negative experience: Last week I came into All Smiles Dental for a consultation. I was given an Invisalign treatment plan quote & was told about an Invisalign promotion/open day, which is a free Invisalign treatment planning session (Usual cost of $600). Prior to leaving, Jess went over the treatment plan & promotion with me & my mother. Jess gave us brief information about the treatment plan & cost. However, failed to be fully transparent & thorough when explaining the T&Cs regarding the commitment fee that comes along with the current promotion. My mother & I both left the Dental Clinic confused about the “commitment fee” which is a deposit required to be paid prior to commencing Invisalign treatment. My mother heard that the commitment fee is required to be paid on the day that I come in for the promotion appointment, whereas I heard that I would only be required to pay the commitment fee when I am ready to commence with the Invisalign treatment. Given we were both confused, I called All Smiles Dental yesterday morning & spoke with Jess. She confirmed that I would not be required to pay the commitment fee on the day of the promotion appointment & continued to go into depth about the treatment planning (rather than about the fee that comes along with the promotion). I said to her “So I don’t need to pay the commitment fee on the day of the promotion appointment, but I’m able to pay the fee when I am ready to commence with the Invisalign treatment” to which she responded “yes, tomorrow your appointment is completely free”. I arrived at my appointment this morning & was given a consent form from Talia. In the consent form it stated that I needed to pay the commitment fee of $1950 by the 18th of April (3 weeks post the promotion appointment that I was already there for). I explained to Talia that I had called yesterday morning & that Jess never told me that I would need to pay 3 weeks post this appointment. She went to get Jess to assist me. Jess took me away from the main reception area & brought me into the Dental room. She did not offer me a seat to discuss this situation, I took it upon myself to take a seat as she stood over me the entire time during our conversation. The first thing she said to me was “you don’t need to pay the commitment fee today, which is what I told you on the phone yesterday” to which I responded “yes, but you did not explain to me that there would be a set date that I would be required to pay the commitment fee post this “free” appointment”. Jess then responded, “You will need to pay the commitment fee on the given date as it is required as part of the promotion”. Why was this not communicated with me when I called yesterday morning? I called yesterday morning to receive clarification, yet there was still lack of transparency and communication skills on Jess’ part. I explained to her that my father would be paying for my dental treatment, therefor this is something I would need to confirm with him before consenting to. Instead of her apologizing for her lack of communication & transparency, I found myself apologizing instead. Which was honestly demoralizing looking back at it. I am a Med student and took the day off from hospital practice to spend an hour travelling to this Dental Clinic to be demoralized and told something that should have been told to me on the phone yesterday morning. Please teach your staff the importance of transparency, clear communication and the importance of VERBAL INFORMED consent, as these situations makes your clients lose complete trust in you. Never once did the words “You will need to pay the commitment fee three weeks after your “free” appointment” come out of Jess’ mouth. Why is it so difficult to be upfront and transparent with your clients? I genuinely hope that this was just a communication issue, rather than a scheme to confuse and deceive me. I shouldn’t have to enquire about something twice and still not have an idea of what I am expected to pay, up until I read it on a piece of paper. I will not be returning to this Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience, thank you! The whole team was very professional. Dr Krystal gave in depth advice and helped form a treatment plan that would work best for me and my circumstances. The procedures went very smoothly - no pain and lots of information the whole way through which was greatly appreciated. No pain afterwards either and the team called to check in on my the next day which was really nice. I also saw Grace for a hygienist appointment and she was excellent as well and gave some great advice on how to best approach cleaning my teeth with a bonded wire. Overall would definitely recommend - thank you team!

Negative experience: If you are considering getting veneers at All Smiles then please read this review. I have been a client at All Smiles for a few years and had been happy with the dental work I received. Veneers were something I had wanted for a long time and I was finally in a position where I could afford to get them so naturally, All Smiles dental was my first choice. Unfortunately, the process I experienced was very stressful, confusing and has ultimately left me with teeth I am unhappy with. I got 6 front top teeth veneers and I paid $8000. The first major problem is the color I have ended up with. The veneer colour is not selected at All Smiles with Krystal but at a lab in Grey Lynn (Race Dental). After my appointment in which my temporary veneers were fitted, I was instructed to go to Race Dental so the technician could make "a personalized color". I asked the lab technician for a color which was slightly brighter than my natural tooth color. She selected a color for me. I was not shown all the options, told about the differences in yellow /grey shades etc or given any examples to hold/look at. I trusted the technicians suggestion as the veneers would be "hand painted to create the unique shade"... But I have ended up with teeth that are darker /yellower than my natural teeth. Secondly, there was a problem with the veneers protruding out from my gum. Krystal filed the two front veneers back and this has removed some of the glaze and given the teeth a matt appearance. I have contacted Krystal multiple times and said that I am not happy with the results. Regarding the color, she has said that : 1. The yellow from my natural tooth could be showing through the veneer 2. The veneers look whiter before they are cemented on 3. I may be over thinking the problem 4. Maybe the lab technician was having a bad day 5. I will have to pay again if I want it changed She also said I could try to bleach (for an extra charge) the backs of my teeth to improve the color. So I paid for the bleach and tried it but haven't seen any difference. Please shop around for veneers and don't pay unless you have received what you asked for.

Negative experience: Wouldn't show me a mirror when they finished their work, and provided me with a crooked dental-bonding "fix". dentist Krystal Tarak was dishonest with the result, and did not offer any after care options after her disastrous procedure. The "glue-like" substance make the tooth look stained or that permanent food debris has decorated the "fixed tooth". Wish I could give zero stars.

We were offered options, and given honest educated advice. This clinic really is passionate about their work and CARES for their patients. Negative experience: Took forever to get an appointment, then had to wait 40 minutes after my appointment time. Dentist wouldnt tell me any results from my exam and upsold treatment once I was in the exam chair. Would recommend a local dentist.

Fantastic experience: Had my teeth cleaned with Grace and she’s easily the most knowledgeable hygienist I’ve ever met. I used to have braces so I frequently got my teeth cleaned with another dental clinic. She also helped recommend me some brushing/flossing habits specific to my teeth’s situation and is very friendly and willing to answer any questions! Would definitely recommend to my friends and family!

Negative experience: All cries dental!!! My experiences: you should never be late or if you need to cancel the appointment, need to do so in advance or you will get charge $85. Haven't been able to use any dental services for my mom yet been there 4 times cost about $2000 very costly place and not even able to cure her pain! Now I need to take her to remove her teeth which cost another $500. She is stuck in NZ during Covid which is supposed to be a nice thing except for seeing this mental place!

Fantastic experience: Honestly such a good Dentist. As someone with severe dental anxiety I was in a bit of a state when it became apparent I had some serious dental work that needed to be done (Root Canal). However, Dr. Krystal and her team were kind, gentle and understanding, most importantly they helped get me on the mend. On top of this they have a great customer service team that check in after appointments to make sure everything is comfortable. Overall If I could rate them higher I would, definitely worth the visit for anyone. 5/5.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was so warm and lovely and Dr Shay was amazing. She gave me regular breaks to rest my jaw and mouth, told me what she was doing during each step which was a welcome change and even applied lip balm during the session to ease my lips which is something I have never had and really appreciated. Best dentist experience I have had.

Fantastic experience: Coming from Germany I had a great dentist for 25 years. My first few visits to dentists in New Zealand were all horrible and I thought this may just be the normal situation here. Then I found this one and what I can say, it's even better than my old German dentist. Maybe on the pricier side, but honestly for that service I would pay even more if I had to. Some may find the way everyone treats you and takes care of you the best. Personally I'm most impressed by the actual dentist skills from what I can tell.

Fantastic experience: I am the same as most people and a trip to the dentist is never something that I really look forward to. This was my first visit to All Smiles and I can not say enough for how comfortable everyone made me feel. When I walked in the door there was an air of calm and tranquility, the decor was clean and crisp and not sterile as it sometimes can be. I was welcomed and honestly treated like a friend. When I went into the dentist she was also very good. She took the time to find out about what was going on and history, not just looking in my mouth, this gave me confidence and put me at ease at the treatment which was required. All in all a great place, excellent service, highly professional with awesome communication.

Fantastic experience: Kisane on the front desk is extremely polite & welcoming! Dr Shirley was again very polite & made me feel comfortable throughout. We fully discuss the benefits of different treatments & settled on one that would be most beneficial. You can tell that she takes immense pride in her profession & in treating people. The surgery itself is very clean, yet homely & the plentiful space means that you feel at ease throughout. Plus, there's lots of parking at the surgery or roads nearby. On the whole, a fantastic & very comfortable service, by all, throughout. Will certainly be my preference of choice for future work

Fantastic experience: Returning to NZ after being abroad, I researched online and found All Smiles after family and friends had only bad experiences to report with THEIR dentists. From the moment I entered the clinic, I was impressed. They have obviously thought deeply about the entire patient experience from the decor to the warm reception one receives as soon as you check in. Waiting time was less than 5 minutes and Dr Tarak explained everything as she went along ensuring I was comfortable both physically and psychologically. The entire procedure was smooth, professional, and pain-free — there was no doubt that I was in caring and expert hands. Their equipment is state-of-the-art making the entire experience efficient and comfortable. I highly recommend Dr Tarak and All Smiles.

Fantastic experience: Wondefull and efficient service by Dr. Krystal and the girls. Very pleasant atmosphere and thorough explanation of the whole process including guide through X-rays and photos. Thankfully I only needed thorough polish and plaque removal so no pain this time around. My children, are all Dr. Krystal's patients including my daughter who is having braces done over the last year and everything is going smoothly. No hesitation in recommending Dr. Krystal's practise to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the All Smiles team . I popped in on what I thought would be a pure flight of fancy, to see if I could straighten my teeth before my wedding and to my surprise was told that 6 months was all that was needed. It only took four (plus an ongoing retainer for an extra month) and I am thrilled with the result. The best part though was the entire incredible team. Kisane and Krystal and all the girls were so warm and welcoming that it was a true pleasure to go to the dentist. I cannot fault their professionalism and skills on all levels. Would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get two fillings (my first!) so was really nervous at my last appointment. Dr. Tarak and Kisane both made me feel really comfortable and I experienced absolutely no pain. They worked quickly and were constantly checking in on me to make sure I was okay. I'm heading back in a few days to get my FastBraces put on and although I'm nervous for this, too, I know I'm in safe hands!

They ladies are incredible, and they not only make you feel welcomed, but they put those dentist nerves at ease. Fantastic experience: I had to organise an appointment at very short notice for my son who was overseas to have his impacted wisdom teeth removed. From the beginning we were accomodated very efficiently and the whole procedure was performed with excellent results. My son was given excellent follow up with frequent calls from Krystal. By day 3 he was requiring very little pain relief and was able to return to his job overseas in a week.
