Fantastic experience: I strongly recommend Dr Richard and the team at Victoria Dentists. I was super nervous about the procedure and they provided the best care and answered all my questions. They're also a lot more cost effective than other places I went to, and I recovered easily from my wisdom teeth removal surgery.

Fantastic experience: Dental hygienist Evelyn is wonderful and excellent at what she does! She answered all of my many questions and was extremely helpful. I’ll be returning for my annual cleaning for sure! Dr Richard was fantastic about my wisdom teeth. I wanted to remove all of them but he explained to me the risks involved with removing each individual tooth, and what was and wasn’t necessary. I ended up only needing to have one removed (lower impacted, under local anaesthetic) and I was amazed to only have a tiny bit of pain in the hour after the procedure until I got painkillers in my system, and then I only needed to take painkillers for one day after surgery. Dr Richard was great at answering all my pre-surgery nervous questions and made me feel comfortable. I put my music in and sat back and relaxed while he worked Very happy and grateful to the whole team, and I highly recommend Victoria Dentists!

Fantastic experience: Dental Clinic quality in new Zealand varies wildly. Victoria Dentist is one of the good ones. I left a chipped tooth for way too long and it started hurting badly. I did a bit of research and went with Victoria dentist on a hunch. Managed to get an appointment fast which was needed with the pain I was in. All the staff was really polite and professional. The dentist quickly took an xRay (I don't think I've ever had an xRay taken this quick) and proceeded to give me honest advice on my options. The tooth was damaged pretty bad, the filling had a 50/50 chance of working. I opted for the filling. It was like watching open heart surgery on my teeth, the doctor and assistant were precise, efficient and thorough. It's now a week later, my tooth is happy and so am I. I'll definitely be coming back.

Recently got Inviserline and am extremely happy with the results. 11/10. Also recommend seeing the hygienist, I wish I'd done this earlier. Best clean you'll ever have & very reasonable prices.

Fantastic experience: I am 74 yrs old and have had a lot of dental work over the years with Dentists in Australia and NZ. I was looking for a Dentist that did implants and called Victoria Dentists in Hamilton. I wanted a Dentist that did everything in house. Lu took my call and organised an assessment appointment for the next day, from there it was easy. I had the best dental experience I have ever had. Richard and Lu are lovely, with a great team of people. I had three implants and a bridge that was fitted on 29 November 2024. Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend dr Richard Zhu(Dentist) and Evelyn Young (Dental Hygienist) at Victoria Dentists enough! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The clinic is spotless and modern, creating a calm atmosphere. For someone like me with an absolute phobia of dentists, they put me at ease immediately. Dr Zhu is an absolute professional and takes the time to explain every step of the process in a way that's easy to understand. I appreciated their gentle approach and attention to detail, ensuring I felt no pain or discomfort throughout the procedure. Thank you to the entire team for such an outstanding experience!

Fantastic experience: I have never felt more relaxed in a dentist chair than I did today for my scale and polish. Evelyn has a kind and welcoming manner. I'm an anxious patient, but Evelyn explained exactly what she was doing the whole time and chatted to me through-out, making my visit super comfortable. Although she was gentle in tone, she got into all the nooks and crannies and did a thorough job on my teeth. I won't go anywhere else after today.

Negative experience: Coming with toothache, not active treatment, informed to do teeth extraction if pain not improved and need implants which can be done in this clinic. Went to another dental clinic being refer to the Endodontics and given chance to save the teeth rather than remove and implants. So I am not recommend here. And no explanation about the cause for teethache, the treatment options, and if I need analgesia or antibiotics.

Fantastic experience: I was meant to leave a review a few years back when Richard took my wisdom tooth out. The impacted tooth was tricky to extract due to its proximity to the underlying nerve and its deep impaction. I saw two dentists prior to seeing Richard. One told me it could only be done by an oral surgeon. The other said he would need half a day for the extraction. I was thrilled that Richard took less than an hour for the extraction and it was a pain free procedure. What’s better was I needed minimal pain killer afterwards, and the wound and socket healed within days! I had some fillings done by Richard this morning, two are for the front teeth. The cosmetic result is pristine. I’d recommend Victoria dentist in a heart beat!

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit at the Victoria Dentists today. Lu at reception was really kind and friendly. I have frequently visited some really good dentists all over the world (Singapore, Swiss, Thai, China and India) but it's my first time to write a testimonial because Dr. James who helped with my scaling and polishing today was truly commendable. He was a lot more attentive towards my oral hygiene than anyone by far, he was very friendly and truly professional. The effects of his hard work just shows up in the end when I look at my teeth. Truly awesome team and very attentive despite of me being one of the last customers for the day. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you team Victoria Dentists.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Victoria Dentists were superb in their service, from hygienists to dentistry. I had some difficult work to get done, and Richard recommended a prior course of treatment that might make the ultimate desired treatment able to be performed. It had the desired effect, and towards the end as I had to leave to go overseas they bent over backwards to get me in good shape before that. Great skill, great service. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom teeth out here (because of the high reviews), they offered oral sedation which made me feel much more calm when the needles came out. Painless experience, when I did feel a bit of pain, the dentist and the dental assistant made sure I was completely comfortable, and talked with me until I was calm. Amazing staff and would definitely come here again if I need any dental work done!

Fantastic experience: I was on holiday from the U.S.A. last November 2019 when a crown and the accompanying front tooth broke off. The doctor and his wonderful staff (family) were able at short notice to fit me with an Essex retainer to mask the gap in my teeth. Seven months later, due to covid-19 restrictions, I am finally finishing up my dental implant replacement procedure. The retainer is showing a bit of wear and tear but otherwise has held up well for all this time. The good Doctor and his staff helped a total stranger who will be forever grateful for what they were able to do for me that day. Thank you so much. Michael McDonald

Phoned Victoria Dentists and was sorted within minutes with pain relief and antibiotic, by a very understanding Dentist. Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth removed and molar implant at Victoria Dentists. My wisdom tooth wasn't in the right position and it shew that the root was connected to the facial nerves on X-ray. Dr. Richard is so experienced and gentle, and all went so smoothly, heaps thanks to Dr. Richard and his team. Also, Evelyn is the best dental hygienist I have ever met. She is so caring and sweet. Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for a couple of years now and they are great. The hygienist Evelyn is excellent. She is gentle but does a thorough job, your teeth are so clean when she's finished. Highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I have been for a scale and polish with Evelyn, an exam and braces consultation with Richard and had 4 fillings all in the last month after a few years of avoiding the dentist out of fear. Every visit has been an undoubtedly positive experience and every member of the team has been fantastic. I wasn't even slightly apprehensive about my last visit, which is huge progress! Plus, major bonus, there was zero pain which amazed me - thanks all!

Fantastic experience: My Wife had gone under the orthodontics to help with her sleep apnea and subsequent health issues if the procedure had not been done. Dr Richard and his team had done a brilliant job on helping with her procedure but guide her through each of the process and explain to her what had to be involved. There are times when a wire on the braces had broke in an inconvenient time and means either she had to suffer the pain for the whole weekend. Dr Richard and his team is always comes to the rescues and make every effort to fix and readjust the issue my wife was facing. Highly recommend anyone looking for an orthodontics procedure. In fact I had already recommend my staff's children to Dr Richard as she will required his professional service which she turn 15. Thanks Dr Richard and the team at Victoria Dental

Fantastic experience: Poor hygiene caring for my tooth ,8 missing tooth later , im at dr richards dentist asking for help on another 2more bad case of front tooth .Afraid and nervous, i gotta say the admin was very positive and polite .Dr Richard was very careful and professional im usually for one to be feeling intensed but the needle injection i hardly felt any pain.It was a pain free procedure, matter of fact not only did dr Richard save my front tooths but he woke me up due to falling asleep .Had to laugh about it later on.He doesn't know this but I have made Dr Richard my dentist.Very happy i so appreciate it very much.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Victoria Dentists. Firstly, I had my top wisdom tooth removed here and it went really well as Dr Richard and staff are professional, caring and so welcoming; they look after you from the beginning until you are fully healed. Unfortunately, I had a bottom wisdom tooth emerging and this wisdom tooth was a difficult task as it is close to the major nerve- if the nerve is damaged it could lead to loss of sensation or cause a lot of pain. However, the surgery went real smooth. Im so confidnet to say Dr Richard and staff are the best in dental practice I have been so far. Therefore, I wouldn’t be afraid to visit Victoria Dentists and it would be my family life-time dental care❤️. You will be in good hands if you go to Victoria Dentists.

Fantastic experience: I had a really bad toothache and I couldn't wait till after the long weekend to get it seen to. My partner rang Richard on Sat night about 9pm as I was trying to find any emergency dentist that could help (talking was really uncomfortable due to the pain at this stage) and he agreed to see me the following day. Went in and he did an emergency root canal for me. No more pain! I can talk, eat and sleep again! Thank you so much for caring for your customers in their time of need! The service is always good and I never experience any pain. I've recommended people to Richard before and started going with the recommendation of others. If you don't like going to the dentist you'll like going to this one!

Fantastic experience: I am the worst dental patient ever that usually cries as soon as I see the dental chair but Victoria Dentists looked after me really well. I had a pain and stress free experience with a tooth extraction and walked out with a better smile than what I began with. I would highly recommend Victoria Dentists. Richard and Lu have a very modern business that is very affordable compared to some of the other practices around them. While Richard is a excellent Dentist, Victoria Dentists also have a lab onsite with Lu the technician, so if plates or dentures are needed there isnt that time spent waiting for teeth to be returned. I cannot say enough good things about this practice other than......The Anxious Dental patient Highly recommends Victoria Dentists.

Fantastic experience: Definitely the best dentist I've been to, and on New Years day no less. Was a really quick appointment actually, X-Ray was done in 10 seconds, anaesthetic was done straight after that (still can't feel anything an hour after BTW), and then he had it out in a couple of minutes. As far as dentists go, I can't say enough about Victoria Road Dentists. Very friendy and easy to deal with - they even have a Live Chat option to help with booking online, which when I used it they answered virtually straight away. Cheers guys, much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience!! I had horrible crooked teeth that I hated and Victoria Street Dentists were able to give me the teeth I've always wanted with a great deal for fast braces! I have a skin condition which made it a little challenging for them working around my mouth but they were extremely understanding and professional and they did their best to avoid any irritation. I always felt so welcome! Yay so thankful for my straight teeth so appreciated!! x

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough of Victoria Dentists. With an incredibly painful wisdom tooth, no available appointments in Raglan and trying to juggle a little baby, Richard was kind enough to see me late on a Friday evening, and opened on the Saturday morning to extract the tooth. His professionalism, personable nature and his calm personality put me completely at my ease, as I was quite nervous having never had any kind of dental work done prior. I so appreciate everything Richard did for me. His receptionist was equally kind and pleasant, and the whole experience was incredibly positive. Fantastic experience: Victoria Dentists are the best dental professionals I have ever experienced. I move around the country a lot for work and have been to many dentists in the past 25 years. I have to say that Richard is hands-down the best I have been to. I quickly formed an opinion that Richard went to dental school entirely because he is passionate about it ... it shows strongly in the work and care he provided. Richard listened closely to me and I also realised when it came to diagnosis and treatment, that he is at the top of his game. I have never had so much trust and confidence in a dental specialist. Other staff at Victoria Dentists are also friendly, professional and very, very good at their jobs. I was also impressed with the in-house technology that appears to be superior to any other dental practice I have been to. Honestly, I doubt I'll ever find another dental practise as good as Victoria Dentists when I leave Hamilton in January (for work ... again!). Fantastic experience: My teeth looked horrible before I got them fixed by Dr Richard. I had a wire behind my teeth after my braces were removed so my previous dentist filled in-between my two front teeth making it look like one which I hated and was not able to brush there properly. I now have teeth that are not connected together and they look great! I had always felt self-conscious about my teeth and hated smiling but since getting my teeth fixed I have felt a lot happier. I now have my smile back thanks to Dr Richard and his dental assistant Crystel. Dr Richard and Crystel were both very nice and friendly as well as the receptionist Debbie.
