Fantastic experience: Had a really nice experience my first time here for a checkup - receptionist was so welcoming and then my dentist and her assistant were both super friendly. The whole experience was easy and relaxed.

Negative experience: Getting past it, charges like a wounded bull and to top it off i have a swollen lip and a large welt where it was leant on heavily during the procedure. I would not recommend this aggressive over priced dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I 100% recommend this place! The receptionists, nurses, and David are all super friendly and helpful. David is the first dentist who managed to extract my tooth in one go without any issues. If you’re a new patient or searching for a new dentist, you should definitely consider them. I walked away thinking, “Wow, I actually enjoyed my time at the dentist!” (Which is pretty unusual since I had a tooth pulled.) Honestly, the best dentist and team.

Both my visits I felt like I was at a dental clinic resort where I was reassured throughout the process what to expect, how to react through the tricky bits and to be able to stop if need be. Fantastic experience: The team at David Marriott were an absolute pleasure and made my mother’s experience incredible. We interacted most with Estelle, Emma and of course David and my mother grew fond of everyone. Patience, kindness and quality of care were ensured at all times. Emma was a lovely face at reception and answered my million emails kindly and promptly. My mother adored her. Estelle had wonderful people skills and was very kind. David was professional and humorous, making my mother feel so comfortable and safe. Honestly couldn’t recommend this dentist enough! 10/10 service and people. Fantastic experience: Amazing. From the reception right too the surgery. The dental assistants are amazing. So comforting and they explain everything so clear. David is so professional. He explained everything he was doing and he was super gentle. I wasn’t a fan of going to the dentist before this because of prior experiences at other dentists but if i ever need to go to a dentist again i’ll be happy to go to this one. Fantastic experience: I visited David Marriot Dental today as a first time patient for a problem tooth. The environment/staff were friendly and relaxed. V (dentist) was very gentle investigating and remedying the issue, she did no more than was needed. I will be using her as my regular dentist from now on.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience. Went for my annual check up and found the Dentist to be very thorough and surprised me with the checks this involved, - not just the teeth! I have booked to see them again in a year. Hubby also went and he also commented on the thorough examination delivered.

Fantastic experience: Since early November I have been getting texts for my son to book in his routine dental exam. He has his own car now, and said he would book the appointment in. I kept getting reminder texts saying your routine dental appointment is now due, please make an appointment. Every time I got a text, I would remind him to make the appointment, and he would promise to do so. He finally made the appointment and went in a few days ago. He came home from that appointment buzzing. He was super impressed with the way Victor, the dentist, asked questions, listened to his answers and then gave really useful advice. For example, ‘How often do you brush your teeth?’ “I try to brush them twice a day, but sometimes its only once” " Ok, twice a day is ideal. If you are only going to brush your teeth once in a day, make sure you do that at night because…” He felt really engaged in his care, learned a lot and I’m sure when the appointment text comes in next time, it won’t take 4-5 months for him to schedule an appointment!

As soon as I walk in there, I am made to feel right at home and the service is exceptional. Fantastic experience: After having a previous bad experience at a dentist I had developed a dentist phobia. Due to that situation I had avoided dentists and had developed problems which resulted in 2 extractions. I made that clear when arriving at David Marriot dental and was made to feel comfortable from the word go. From the office staff to David himself I could not speak more highly of the whole experience. I was in and out of the dentist chair within 25minutes with 2 extractions completed pain free and including 1 wisdom tooth. I am already aware of one more wisdom tooth needing to be extracted and I no longer have any hesitation about returning to have it taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Prompt, professional & painless service. I hadn't been to a dentist in a very long time and so a problem, painful tooth saw me seek help. I was made to feel welcome & comfortable immediately. I was seen promptly and the process to diagnose the problem was comprehensive with great explanation I could understand, taking into account what I wanted to achieve. For the first time ever the treatment was painless & at every point my comfort was taken into consideration. I highly recommend the dental team at David Marriott and am very happy with the outcome.

Fantastic experience: I came in yesterday after not having visited a dentist in years thanks to a phobia of needles - I was treated without judgment, and despite my anxiety I was made to feel calm and comfortable throughout the whole process. Max was awesome, he explained each step of the procedure to me and ensured I was comfortable throughout. The procedure was quick and completely painless, and the staff were transparent about pricing right from the start. Couldn't have been easier!

Negative experience: Wouldn't reccomend at all had 2 fillings done which were $264ea. 1of which is still causing me pain 3 weeks later .not I didn't have any pain in my teeth what so ever before coming here I simply just went for a check up and this being the only practice not fully booked now iknow why !!totally misinformed by there staff member max when going back for a check up on my filling for the 2nd time about the pain persisting he advised either to pull the tooth for $260 or to get a root canal for 1600 which required a 50% deposit right then and there if I was to choose this option I wanted to get a 2nd opinion so I asked if he could just fix the pain he them suggested I get it capped and this would temporarily ease the pain for a week or so but right after he drilled my filling out and placed this temporary cap originally he quoted something like 280 and after me not being satisfied dropped it to 114 he told me the pain will probably continue and that if it does the root canal procedure probably won't work AFTER performing what I've realised a pointless TEMPORARY fix any way wouldn't you think you would inform the patient to remove the tooth he knew my tooth nerve was dying because i told him my tooth had become loose all of a sudden ! i left feeling better thinking the pain was gone but 3 hours later once the numbing wore off the pain was excruciating i couldn't sleep or eat it was that bad I am also pregnant which they were informed this I can only take paracetamol for pain and when I rung up to book in the next day to get my tooth pulled because of the pain being so bad I just wanted it to stop he had a meeting with the other dentist because I refused to pay more money and na they still tried to charge me another 140 to get my tooth pulled out i strongly beleive hes damaged my tooths nerve which shouldnt of happened and then the cheek to try and charge me for his mistake I've spent all my dental insurance yearly allowance over 800$ for ongoing pain 3 days of missed work to try and sort it out in total and I'm so frustrated!!!! .save your self the risk and go else where!! Won't be recommending to any of my friends or family I'm actually going to spread the word that this is a rubbish place to get your teeth tended to

Very patient and hard working doctor and very clean and hygienic environment. Friendly front desk and lovely dental assistant. Lots of up to date fresh magzines to read in waiting area, more like u visiting a saloon or spa, didn't give u the feeling of going into a cold room. IF u want a friendly and professional team, this is the one I recommend! Best dentist so far I have experienced in my whole life!

Negative experience: I would rate them less if I could. They have given me wrong amounts on invoices and then when asked about it, blamed others in the practice. Then my appointments had to be moved even further back due to me not having the money the very day that I was scheduled to have my tooth removed, and would not accept that I would have it 2 days later. Extremely bad service and would not recommend at all!

They are reasonably priced for a great job and the service is magnificent from when you walk in to when you get home. Needs must and I began a series of appointments with a mixture of apprehension and embarrassment at the state of my teeth. Jay and his assistant have been welcoming, reassuring and non judgemental, efficient and professional.

Fantastic experience: A modern and friendly practice in the heart of Hastings that I recommend to others. David has been my dentist for many years and I am always impressed by his gentle manner and skill. He has repaired broken teeth, fitted me with a gold crown and carries out annual check ups for me. His assistants, receptionists and fellow dentists are all genuine and caring and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Recently I needed an emergency appointment after breaking a tooth in the weekend and was fitted in first thing on Monday morning.

Positive experience: When I needed a dentist for a tooth issue I decided to visit David Marriott Dental. Alex, the dentist who treated me was friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. The dental student that was at one of the appointments was also very good at helping me feel relaxed and aware of what was happening. I am extremely happy with the treatment I received.

Negative experience: Nothing wrong with the services performed - simply a lack of communication when pricing and options should have been explained before proceeding. Also, was not made aware that a 4 minute inspection of my mouth was going to cost an additional $81. Complaint not handled well by practice manager. Feel free to use them but make sure that you get them to declare all costs up front. Caveat emptor.
