Fantastic experience: I just had my 2nd wisdom tooth removal by Daniel and I couldn't be more impressed. Both times I've been in for extractions he's been very reassuring and efficient at the removals. Prior to Palms Dental I had a lot of anxiety around dentists. Daniel and the assistants are great at what they do and I'm confident that all future dental work I require will be done with them.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Palms dental centre. I have extremely bab bpd, anxiety and depression and palms dental are very friendly and professional. I had all of my top teeth removed and immediate dentures put in and I'm blown away by the process ❤.. everything fits well. The sedation was definitely the best. Full top teeth removed and it felt like a 5min job. My original teeth I thought was going to need braking up to get out but nope. Daniel did such a amazing job and removed them all whole. I came home and slept then woke up thinking I was late to my appointment. That's how good they are at palms dental. So good you forgot you even went there ❤ thanks again team I really appreciate that.

Fantastic experience: I had a very positive experience here. Daniel made me feel so at ease and relaxed. I had a tooth extracted and it was so quick and easy with no pain. He could tell what was wrong straight away and let me know my options.

Fantastic experience: I have always had good experiences here at Palms Dental. For the last 6 years, I have been coming here annually for a checkup and X-ray. Lovely receptionist, newly furnished waiting room and good availability. I see Tracy and she looks after my teeth and my tooth gems. The filling I had done 1.5 years ago is still in great shape.

Negative experience: I spent over $3,000 on fillings and repairs. 2 fillings broke off not even 4 months after the initial appointment (usually a fillings lifetime is over 5 years). Went back so they could fix it however 1 of the replacement filling caused me alot of pain. Called them up and explained this, I was told to wait 2-3 months and then contact if there was still any pain. Unfortunately the pain never went away, I called them up again and they said I would have to pay for it to be investigated because I waited too long to let them know even after I stated I waited under their instructions. Paid again to have someone more senior look into my teeth and why I was getting pain and she was beyond rude. She insulted me and even raised her voice at me for questioning my original doctors work and refused to work on me because my teeth were too dirty. I literally was crying in the dental chair as she was speaking to me because it was just so nasty and I was afraid that if I spoke up she wouldn't treat me properly. At least it seems like I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience with this woman. I left the dentist crying and in pain and I have no intention of ever coming back even if there was no other dentists available. I have never had an issue with them up until I turned 18 and I had to start paying. I would recommend you stay away from this dentist at all cost.

Negative experience: Went to this dentist some time recently. Nothing was done, he just suggested I basically get a whole lot of teeth out, and visit a dental technician, no other options given . Then got out of his chair where he had sat most of the time...all done for over $70.00 !!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Daniel, Maxine and Kate made my visit so good, I'm petrified of going to the dentist but with the support and care this trio put in, they will have me returning to their clinic. Highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Palms Dental centre since I first came to Christchurch approximately 5 years ago. During that time thousands of dollars have changed hands with my teeth getting worse with every procedure and little empathy after my years of loyalty to the business and many changes of dentists doing patchwork on my teeth. Am not comfortable with the new open plan environment either, so time to move on

Negative experience: Would not recommend. I spent thousands of dollars having a few procedures done near the end of 2023, only for 2 fillings to only last 6 weeks before falling out. And another tooth has also had a poor filling done. Also never listened to my concerns about not receiving enough anaesthesia. I am now left with no option than to spend monet at another practice to have this work rectified.

Fantastic experience: All the team are so kind and helpful, and always make you feel comfortable. Makes going to the dentist a whole lot nicer!

Negative experience: I may be petty because this had happened a year ago, but the dentist was really rough on her procedure on me and my parents. My step-father has currently permanent hear nerve damage after a simple cleaning procedure, somehow the dentist manage to be so rough that she hit a nerve. They denied all allegations and were very rude to them when they came back to simply share their concerns. They are extremely lucky we have no way to prove such claim at the court, but I would definitely not advise them to anybody. The other dentists were very good though, although it cannot make it up to this one dentist's unprofessionalism.

Negative experience: Ripoff still have same issue .never going back .better dentist out there.all they see is $$signs.

Fantastic experience: I've had a few appointments here recently to get work done and every time the team have been great. As someone who gets quite anxious about dental visits, I've been really impressed with their ability to put me at ease. They're always willing to explain things, even the silliest questions, with kindness and a non-judgmental attitude. I've learnt a lot about how to best care for my teeth, particularly after a period of neglect. I'm so thankful of how they've made the entire experience so straightforward and enjoyable!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have had a few visits over the last few months, and we find the team excellent. We are always advised of our options and find the dentists empathetic, and we are pleased with the results. The have an easy online booking system making it easy for me to book when it suits me. I have no hesitation in recommending Palms Dental Centre.

Negative experience: If I didn't have to give a star I wouldn't. Horrible experience and terrible service. Pay good money only to be treated poorly and when I brought up an issue about something I felt was serious. It was all my fault put back onto me. Feel disgusted that treatment providers can actually get away with poor work. I am still in pain after my procedure so will now have to pay more money for another dentist to fix the work that should have been more carefully done not rushed. No outcome with this dentist other than blame. STEER CLEAR..

Negative experience: Would not recommend them!! Don't go here Made an appointment for our 2-year-old. They knew it was for a kid before the appointment. They don't have the equipment suitable for young children and when trying to x-ray him they had no idea how to handle it. Yet they took our appointment and money. Worst of all they said it was ACC covered and we had to pay $65 extra. When I spoke to other dentists they said ACC covers consultation and x-ray so I am unable what exactly we paid for?!

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking! Worst dental centre in Chch. Will never be returning or recommending to anyone. Luminos on the other hand are extremely professional and very reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: Daniel is amazing, extremely friendly, very skilled, and for someone who is terrified of any dental work, he always puts my mind at rest and is so patient with me, can't recommend highly enough.

Negative experience: Really disappointing experience. Services provided not as advertised (or invoiced). Mentioned concerns to reception staff, (Kate who was wonderful to deal with) however, her and the other reception staff were gatekeepers from speaking with the decision maker to actually resolve the issue. Very frustrating. Need more transparency in pricing and expectations of services. Internal issues should be put onto your customers. Apologise and make it right. My advice, save your money and head down the road for cheaper rates and better quality service.

Fantastic experience: Going by my own personal experience. I went in to get a tooth extracted thinking this was my only option due to my growing discomfort over several years. But I was guided through an option where I left with my tooth still in my mouth and only costing right in the middle of the top and bottom quotes for the extraction. I had friendly and comfortable service, was constantly asked if I was ok, and she was so very gentle. I would definitely go back with any other tooth/teeth concerns.

Negative experience: Just went there with my daughter I got a call from them as daughter needed 3 teeth pulled for bravest they never once told me it would cost at all. Get there this morning and that said right the cost is 369. I said to them lady that rang never said anything about cost at all. Mind u my daughter is only 11

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I felt judged and unwelcomed the whole time, from the moment I walked into the door to when I left. I was already anxious and nervous about visiting the dentist but this has just proven my point and made the experience a bad one :( like many I wish I had read reviews before booking appointment

Fantastic experience: I came here about 5 years ago and had a very bad experience in terms of wisdom teeth which led me to hospital and I swore I’d never be back here let alone to a dentist again until my sister got dental work done here a few months back through Daniel... although there is some work I need done through an oral surgeon, he fixed a front tooth of mine which was nearly all gone and did a filling also. I couldn’t speak highly of him enough... yes the dental work was great but more importantly he treated me with respect and didn’t make me feel gross or less or a human being for the poor state the teeth I need removing are in... So thank you so much!

Negative experience: Fast braces didnt work, taken off too early now want to charge us to put them back on. Go to an orthodontist they are the same price.

Fantastic experience: Amazing work from Tracy and the team, came in for an emergency check up and was seen straight away. Booked for a root canal which went amazing! no pain at all now :) Shout out to Dianne as well who had to deal with my many phone calls. Your a superstar!

Negative experience: Took my money, then refused to provide the dental work I paid for. Proceeded to tell me to leave when I asked for a refund. Then called the police, lied to them and claimed I was aggressive and threatening, and issued me with a trespass. Police advice was that it was a civil matter and the matter has been referred to the MBIE (Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment) to resolve it. They then made up a lie claiming I damaged the property, and had me falsely arrested on charges of “wilful damage”. Then proceeded to use the police as their own private militia to threaten me with arrest if I proceeded with claims court against the company. Now having to defend false criminal charges for simply trying to have a filling done. Wish I’d checked the companies MANY negative reviews prior to visiting them. Would have never gone here in the first place had I done a moments research. ***VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK***

Fantastic experience: Dr Liying Jin did an amazing job with my wisdom tooth extraction (surgical). It was completely painless as you would expect, and she explained everything to me throughout the process, including detailed after care. She is so efficient and professional, I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to Daniel and his team. I am an extremely nervous patient. I arrived for 2 fillings ,2 extractions and intravenous sedation. I am always treated at such a professional and caring level to put me and ease. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Haggerty is an excellent professional that does beautiful work and is very gentle. Diane the receptionist is great also, very nice lady. I'm just over the moon with my results.

Negative experience: Just had two root canals I initially had completed by Palms Dental Centre redone by an orthodontist who said I had good teeth but poor dentistry. I would not recommend having root canal work done here based on my expensive experience. One canal had not been cleaned properly and an abscess tracked to nearby missing tooth pocket. The tooth had been so tightly packed it cracked the tooth so it now has to be extracted, an implant to replace is $7k I also had all fillings replaced that Palms initially did based on a review and recommendation by orthodontist.

Negative experience: Cheap filling materials. came off with in a year so disappointed!

Negative experience: My experience with this practice has left me out of pocket hundreds of dollars and still needing treatment. I recently spent money on treatment having been assured by the dentist that it would be worth it, but it has made things worse. I wont be going back!

Negative experience: Liars,when I asked how much their service will cost dentist said 200$ and after job done they charged me 263$.I've heard this happened to other people as well,taking advantage of people.My first and last visit to this place

Fantastic experience: The other day I got a large back tooth removed and I was nervous and scared. The dentist helped me relax and calmed me down by talking the procedure through with me which I was happy with. My experience was excellent and am happy to return again.
