Fantastic experience: I went for my hygienist appointment and discovered Christine is back. Love her gentle approach and have always felt comfortable as soon as I see her smile. She is lovely and would recommend all my friends and whānau to her. Negative experience: Had a teeth cleaning, during the procedure a saliva suction fell on a floor, a teeth cleaner picked it up and continued with it, I couldn't believe it.

Fantastic experience: Ive recently had teeth extractions and immediate dentures in.after maybe 8 to 10 years of fear going to see a dentist. With making a lot of bookings with a lot of dentist round town I would cancel at the last minute .this year with a lot of encouragement from family and work colleagues istepped into smile care dental studio and made an appointment each session I was very anxious and thought of cancelling my appointment. But new I had to have this done. Doctor Cohen was so gentle and reassuring every step of the way. Everything I was scared of didn't exist the needles I dreaded were painless I'm just so amazed I have no more fear in dentist after this experience. Positive experience: I am a person who has had a real anxiety about dentists in the past, due to bad experiences a number of years ago. However, I needed to visit a dentist after cracking a tooth, Smile Dental was recommended to me, so I went along to get the tooth sorted, with some trepidation. The tooth was sorted by Aden and his team without any concerns. I have since been back for a couple of fillings and these also where completed without any pain or issues. Thanks Aden for restoring my confidence and my dental health. A dental visit is something I would prefer not to do, "rather go out for a nice meal" !, but if you have to get dental work done then I would highly recommend Smile Dental, Whangarei. Regards, Brian

Negative experience: Booked in for an examination and was quoted for a fix. During the procedure I was asked if they could do something more to which I agreed and wasn’t told the price. It was an extra $350 when I had to pay! I believe this should have been examined in my initial examination that I had previously payed for to be carried out professionally. I was then told by the dentist that he will fix it for free in the likely event that it’ll crack! Being so unsatisfied not only by the procedure and the way it was carried but the unpleasant facilities I wasn’t keen to come back! Since then I’ve always had bad sensitivity in that tooth in which I dealt with. (not knowing if this is normal or not as i’m not a professional) Just over a year later that tooth yet again had to be fixed by another dentist in which he’s recommended having multiple work done that hadn’t been suggested a year ago. (I have not changed my dental care/routine since) Which again is hard to understand how so much work has since popped up within a year if the initially examination at Smile Care had been carried out professionally.

Fantastic experience: I had a real fear of the dentist and Dr Cohen talked to me for quite some time and explained everything in full. He is very gentle and uses numbing gel before injecting. I dont know why I put it off for so long. His nurses Vania and Maisie are amazing too and Shontelle at the front desk puts you at ease the minute you walk in. I have been back several times and have also had a tooth extraction with no problems post extraction. I highly recommend this team of professionals.

Fantastic experience: Awsome staff, They remembered me from my first visit and called me by my first name always when talking to me and saying hello (all of them from reception to the dentist and even the dental assistant) They were fast and listed all options and gave me free rein to choose what I thought was best for me, with giving their professional opinion also. Also! A big win for the team at smilecare, they have a TV hung on the wall and let me pick a movie on netflix and put some headphones on me to make my appointment as enjoyable as possible! They really took their time explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable. Love the fact that you can watch movies, and have headphones on to distract from the drilling etc. Competitive prices. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been traumatised by dentists in the past, but I trust Dr Cohan completely. Dr Cohan is the best dentist I have ever had. He clearly explains what he is doing and why. He will weigh up costs and benefits so making a decision becomes much easier. He gave me a root canal while I watched a movie and I did not tense up even once. My comfort and mental state were cared for. Hygiene is paramount. I have no hesitation in recommending Smile Care Dental Studio and I always do to my friends and colleagues.

The reception service is welcoming and upbeat, the practitioners are friendly, skilled, careful and knowledgable. I was able also to make a long-term finance purchase (via. Q Card) for my full dental restoration and was even given a free electric tooth brush! Now happily confident with my new found smile, cheers Smile Care!
