Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Dr. Mia Tuivaiti and his team. I recently underwent a root canal procedure, and I can honestly say it was the most comfortable and reassuring dental experience I've ever had. Fantastic experience: The staff here are amazing! Dr Alex was so gentle and always checked in to see if I was ok every 10 minutes or so. I loved that they're willing to work with me in stages in regards to my dental plan in order for me to be able to cover the costs of the work I am needing done. Highly recommend!

I came to know about this service from the internet and the dentist who appealed to us was Dr Nick Bohra. We have been very happy with the service since then. I have always been attended to by Dr Nick and have been very happy with his treatment. The treatment has always been efficient, timely and painless. Fantastic experience: Having neglected my teeth for too many years I decided I needed to address my bleeding gums when Cleaning my teeth. I went to Nick who was not judgemental and gave me sound advice and help to get my teeth back to full health. I have now been getting my teeth regularly checked and cleaned by hygienist. I was also surprised at how competitive their prices are when comparing with workmates using other surgeries. My teeth are now much much better thank you

Fantastic experience: Sunshine Dental is one of the best dental clinics from which I've received treatment. In over 50 yrs in NZ there are few dentists who offer such excellent and patient-oriented service, and I have to commend them for their excellent work and patient-consideration. Fantastic experience: I've had multiple dentist over the years but can honestly say that the experience I have with Dr Rupika is outstanding. Going to the dentist can be nerve-wrecking but she always makes me feel right at home and I leave feeling more confident each time. Would highly recommend.
Negative experience: I do not recommend this place at all because I had two of my teeth filled here, but I still had pain afterward. I went back and another doctor re-filled my tooth, but it still didn’t fully improve. After two years, I called again to make an appointment for a cleaning. I told them that I wanted both a cleaning and to show them the teeth they had previously filled because I was still in pain. When I went in, a doctor who misbehaved looked at me and took several X-rays before even telling me what she was going to do, how much it would cost, or whether I even agreed to the procedures. Without informing me, she took a lot of X-rays and then said that the same teeth needed to be re-treated and that I would have to pay again. She also didn’t do the cleaning and charged me $90. It was a horrible experience. I didn't go there for a consultation; I went there for a cleaning and to consult about the teeth that were still causing pain, and I confirmed that with reception before I went there.
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. I have just received an invoice over 15 months since I last saw CBS dental. I had two of my appointments around 6pm, one in Johnsonville and one in Porirua, on both occasions I turned up and they weren't there! I was then referred to an orthodontist who told me to stop my treatment with them. I am currently talking to a lawyer as they keep texting and emailing me for payment for which they never finished Over 15 months later, saying we had a temporary receptionist.

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely terrified of dentists but Rupika is amazing, so patient, and has been understanding of my fear from the get go. I have had a few trips to sort out my dental issues and Rupika has always put me at ease. I can highly recommend Rupika and her team.

Negative experience: Booked an overdue checkup - asked the practitioner if I was being treated for periodontitis due to all the fussing and was made to feel stupid and irrational for asking, only to be charged $160 on top of the check up costs for “periodontal treatment”. The checkup itself was awful, I was left with a blackish blue mouth from bruising and blue dental marking from fissure sealant. The practitioner was brutal and overly rough. On a seperate visit another practitioner had commented that a potential cavity wasn’t increasing in size, and that they’ve been monitoring it well. First I’d heard of a cavity at all! When asked for the invoice (to provide to my employer) they’ve attached someone else’s “Jason H” and even getting that invoice took them 4 tries. Really not impressed and will not be going back. Stay away if you can avoid it!

Fantastic experience: My dentist, Rupika, is the best. She is friendly, very personable and down to earth. I am happy to have a woman dentist for the first time. I recommend Rupika.

Fantastic experience: Rupika has been my dentist for a few years now. She is always pleasant to deal with. She was just as happy as I was when no remedial work was required at my last check up. My previous clinics seemed more interested in their cashflows than on my teeth. Any dentist is expensive but I have found CBS dental pricing to be competitive. I have no intention of moving elsewhere anytime soon.

Negative experience: What a lousy experience. Prices have gone up insanely ($300 for a small filling?! Used to be $170) and I was told that everywhere else is far more expensive, then turned their back on me and loudly said "you'll be back". No offer of payment plan or other way to make it work for me. Seems like these people think money is like water. What ever happened to the medical professionals looking after patients?

Negative experience: Had a chipped tooth which was repaired, after 3 months the repair simply fell off. I went back and was told normally there would be an acc surcharge. Thought no worries, it'll be covered under warranty. Nope they then tried to send me a bill for the repair. Along with this the repair was extremely sharp, it cut my lip and tongue making it difficult to eat or drink, they then wanted me to wait weeks to come back and have it fixed. Will not be going back

Negative experience: Booked 6 months earlier for my routine hygiene, waited 40 minutes in the waiting room... I'm a contractor, missed the appointment with my client. Dentist took 10 minutes to do my hygiene, charged me 145$ and gave me a toothbrush for the delay. They lost 2 clients in one go, my girlfriend and I not going back that's sure.
Hi Dario, I totally understand how you feel. NOT great. We want to respect your budget and TIME, ie work! More than a 10 min clean is needed for $145. We are reorganising our hygine and dental cleaning process and pricing to make it more affordable with a consistent and high level of service for the community. Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist, highly recommend Dr. Rupika at CBS dental. I have had quite a bit of dental work completed the past 6 months including two root canal treatments. Dr. Rupika is always very friendly, caring and professional at each appointment. Delighted with the results, I am no longer in any pain and very happy with the cosmetic finish.

Fantastic experience: Over the years I have dreaded going to the dentist for a filling, as the pain is often unbearable. I moved to CBS Dental this month and for the first time ever I walked out thinking "that wasn't bad". It way less painful than other times, plus great service, a great result and at a reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: Olivia is not simply a dentist, she is an orthodontic magician. Master of the tooth. After days (and nights) of agony, 20mins in Olivias chair and I'm good as new, minus the angry tooth of course. Absolutely the best dentist I've been to.

Negative experience: Last year I had a root canal from Nick Bohra (who also works out of a practice in Porirua). After months of niggles and discomfort, last week it flared up with considerable pain. My new dentist took x-rays of the offending tooth and we were both left speechless: only half the root is showing as has having been filled. I am now faced with the additional expense of a referral to an endodontist, and if the tooth cannot be saved, considerable remedial work. This is the second root canal I have had from CBS, from two different dentists, and the second failure. I wouldn't refer this surgery to my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: Patient and friendly dentists, easy to book and a really good text reminder system. For people complaining about price - it's a dentist. Save up beforehand and have one less coffee a week. Late night Tuesday sessions are helpful for full time workers such as myself.

Positive experience: I am applaud by the phone call that i received this morning from cheryl complaing to me that i have a overdue account. She has threatened to take me to baycorp beacuse my weekly payments of $20 isn't enough?. Maurice n the receptionist at the time said $20 weekly payments was ok. Even though i set my payments up late the money is going through. But the phone call i received today was rude. This review is not a reflection of maurices work hes a awesome dentist takes care of his clients and i am very greatful for everything he has done for me, but the dental nurse that i talked to today was very mean and put a damper on my day, i am not happy with our conversation we had so this review is for her. clients should not be treated that way. But Maurice you are amazing im sorry for you to do this.
We endeavor to make Dental Care as accessible as possible for all patients. Payment options for as little as $20.00 per week for a $700.00 account would be considered by most to be exceptionally fair. We don not expect to have to beg for this amount, and having received only 3 payments in 17 weeks necessitated the phone call which you were unhappy with. I hope you can understand.

Negative experience: I knew the condition of my teeth was bad. On the phone while making the appointment I wasn't asked how I was going to pay, nor told I had to pay then and there. During the examination the dentist was very polite and informative, then afterwards while he was writing up the referal for me to see another dentist the receptionist asked how I was going to pay, I asked her if I could pay some now and come back with the rest because I had to go to WINZ. She then looked at me and said right then I'll have to write you a quote then took it to the dentist to fill the rest out. She then came back and bluntly said you should've told me that it was for a WINZ quote. The dentist then comes back 10 minutes later with the letter and the quote and rudely said 'if the quote isn't accepted you will be liable for the account.' Talk about bad customer service.
