Fantastic experience: I went for a clean with their dental hygienist. Being my first time at this dental clinic, I was asked to fill out a form and I appreciate the fact that they ask you if you have any phobias or if you normally feel anxious about dental appointments. I was then greeted warmly by the dental hygienist who took the time to get to know my dental habits, issues, concerns, and welcomed every query I had. She also taught me how to properly floss and brush which I really appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience and would go back here again.

Negative experience: Never ever go this dentist they are the worse they damaged my front tooth which had no issues no its dead and has to be pulled out at 30 years old!! Yes my name is zoe . Im sure you know who I am. Stefan treated me was the worst dentist ever then just left the practice after I complained. Went back once after constant pain and all they kept saying was it was sensitive but no the fillings wer poorly done and too close to my root. Also drilled so hard put a crack through my tooth. My new dentist which is great has confirmed all this and said my front tooth is completely dead now. If they hire someone like him who was im competent I hate to think what the other dentist there are like. Be very wary ! U never expect to go the dentist to make your teeth worse! I have lost my front tooth now all trying to get a stain removed

Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot flaw the team in any way. From reception support to dentist I had a great experience. Well as far as a dentist can go. I had Raf for my visits and she was transparent and supportive with my treatment. She has taken so much care with the work she does and I would highly recommend her. I had different dental assistant each visit and all were lovely and professional gems! I'm sorry for those who have had a bad experience at Loxo as I at this point in time cannot find something that I am upset with. The price is always a factor and I would say it was reasonable for the work needing to be done. Would be nice if it cost less but in these times I think the pricing reflects the work accurately. Respectfully, I hope I do not have to see the Loxo team for a while now. But, when I go back I know I will be in the best hands. Thank you team

Negative experience: Horrible experience, was needing a filling done that took way over time because the damage of the hole was underestimated even though I had X-rays. I ended up having one tooth worked on for over an hour, he was getting aggravated with his dental assistant snatching the suction from her and started to be rough with me and what he was doing, I have severe anxiety and this put me into a panic as I then left having a panic attack. He prescribed me “pain medication” and when I went to the chemist it was actually antibiotics for an infection … I had called back to explain that some of the hole was still exposed and not filled and was told that they were busy and didn’t have time to see me and I would have to go in on a certain day a week later which I said I wouldn’t be able to make and the lady got frustrated and I was charged for missing that appointment that I had declined to anyway. The tooth now has to be pulled so a complete waste of money and time. Not to mention ridiculous pricing ….

Negative experience: Needed a tooth removed. Was only offered local anaesthetic. Felt all the pain so she put too much local in. Couldn't get the tooth out. Wouldn't ring my actual dentist to discuss. Only prescribed codeine which made the agony worse. Something wasn't right so went to another dentist. I had a massive infection and hematoma in my face. Had it spread and I didn't go to the other dentist I would have ended up in Christchurch hospital. Other dentist looked at the quote for the extraction and said it was "very overpriced". Yanan wanted $600 for her to take out one tooth with pliers. The pain was excruciating. No one should come here unless they want to be subjected to medical negligence for the sake of $$$.

Negative experience: Went to the dentist for a check up and professional opinion on my teeth. As I had a cavity at the back of my mouth the dentist recommended a temporary filling which I agreed to. When I got home and the anesthetic wore off I began to have intense pain in that tooth and jaw. I called leaving a message and had a sleepless night. The next day I had no reply to my message so called again. The dentist said the tooth would have to come out and said she would ask her seniors for advice. 5 hours later (still in constant pain) and no reply I called again. She re affirmed that the tooth would have to come out and booked me in for an appointment 6 days later. The pain was so bad at this point that I could not sleep so obviously I was disappointed. I ended up contacting a different dentist the next day and got the tooth removed with no drama. The fact that this dentist would rather make someone in pain wait a week just to get some business instead of simply referring them to another dentist who could do the work immediately is simply greedy and out of touch. I would not recommended.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful, polite staff. Very professional dentist. Nice looking place on inside. Outside just looks like a house. Could do with better signage outside because if you dont know where you're going,you'll miss it. Overall not great prices but for the friendly and kind service I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Called on a Sunday (today) to get urgent check up on wisdom tooth pain, dentist was really knowledgeable and talked me through the whole process. Left with instant relief and the staff were amazing!! Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: I am writing this feedback to express my concern and disappointment regarding an encounter my son had with one of your reception staff during his visit to your clinic on Sunday, August 23rd. Upon the conclusion of his dental check-up, the receptionist on duty that day not only acted in an unkind manner towards my child, but also insisted, quite assertively, that he could not leave the clinic without making a payment, even though he is covered under Southern Cross insurance. Dental visits can be anxiety-inducing for many, and the importance of a friendly, patient, and understanding environment cannot be overstated. The receptionist's harsh demeanor did little to mitigate this anxiety and, on the contrary, added to the discomfort of the situation. We've never faced such issues in the past in the consultations we've had at Loxo. It was distressing that instead of assisting my son in understanding the situation or helping him resolve the matter, he was met with insistence on immediate payment. We have always chosen Luxo Dental for its reputed quality of service and patient-centric approach. Unfortunately, our experience on this occasion fell short of these expectations. I kindly request that you look into this matter and provide adequate training to your staff regarding customer service and insurance matters, ensuring no other patient has to go through the same disconcerting experience. We trust that this is an isolated incident and not reflective of Luxo Dental's usual high standard of care and service. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback.

Negative experience: Terrible Experience at Loxo Dental - Unprofessional and Damaging Review: I recently visited Loxo Dental to seek treatment for my wisdom tooth pain, and it turned out to be the worst decision of my life. The dentist, who lacked basic professionalism, recommended a root canal without adequately explaining the procedure or providing any information about it. he proceeded with the process, subjecting me to excruciating pain that left me trembling in the chair. To my utter dismay, the dentist abruptly halted the procedure and advised me to start medication before continuing with the treatment. It's bewildering how he expected me, a non-medical professional, to be aware of the steps required before undergoing a root canal. The responsible approach would have been to prescribe medication first, ensuring that I was adequately prepared for the treatment. But the worst was yet to come. The dentist then suggested extracting my tooth as a solution, leaving me with no other choice but to agree due to the unbearable pain I was enduring. Shockingly, the extraction process was even more horrendous, causing me tremendous agony. However, the dentist couldn't even complete the extraction and left me with a broken tooth, adding insult to injury. When I sought a second opinion from another dentist, I discovered that the initial dentist had not only acted unethically but had also damaged a different tooth altogether. It became apparent that he should have referred me to a specialist or oral surgeon for the extraction of my wisdom tooth, rather than attempting it himself. I went on to consult two more dentists, and all of them concurred that the damage inflicted on my tooth was a direct result of the initial dentist's incompetence. This ultimately led me to seek treatment in India, which cost me a staggering $7000 and a lot of pain. The Indian dentist reiterated the same diagnosis, stating that I had to extract two teeth simultaneously due to the damage caused by the previous dentist. In conclusion, I strongly advise against seeking dental treatment at Loxo Dental. The dentist's evident lack of experience and professionalism, coupled with the damage he inflicted on my teeth, resulted in the worst days of my life. Spare yourself the agony and find a reputable dentist who will prioritize your well-being and provide competent care.

Fantastic experience: My tooth fell out and I panicked so I called Loxo Dental and explained to the receptionist, she was lovely and immediately set me up with an appointment. When I got there I was scared and feeling pain because my gum was bleeding a lot. I was attended by Luci who helped me to calm down, she was an angel, sweet, patient and understood why I was scared. Luci and Zoe took very good care of me. I am very happy with the result and will definitely come back in the future.

Fantastic experience: Truely a fantastic dentist. Had my wisdom tooth extracted after it broke and I am really nervous about going to dentists. The dentists that extracted my tooth took a genuine level of empathy and compassion to ensure I was comfortable and okay. I could not rate this dentist any higher and have certainly found my new dental clinic.

Negative experience: I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dentist at loxo dental. They also quoted $250 and charged me $650 after the job. Fantastic experience: Zoe McWilliam is very highly recommended: great technical competence (I had a very tricky procedure done- removal of a mercury filling and rebuilding of an upper tooth within the gum-line)- done with no discomfort and informative explanations of options.

Negative experience: Did less than half of the of the work on 1st stage of a root canal and charged for the entire procedure. Had to go to A&E with an infection because the dentist failed to clear out all of the canals.

Negative experience: The worst dentist ever. They only their for money not their patients. My mother went here to get all her teeth removed and to get dentures. They charged her over 5k for this procedure and when she got her dentures she saw that they forgot to remove all tooth which was half in her gum, this coused her soo much pain. And they charged her to remove this tooth when they should of done this right in the 1st trip. The dentures has become loose after 2months already. Worst place ever dont go here unless u want to loose money.

Fantastic experience: I chipped my tooth through the level 4 lock down on a Sunday and had it completely fixed by the following Thursday at an amazing price. I was made to feel so comfortable and didn't feel no pain what so ever. Thankyou luxo dental. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Long story, but I wanted to give context. I went to another dentist on the Tuesday with pretty bad, but tolerable, toothache (comparing it to the horror toothache I've had in the past). After x-rays I was told it either needs to be pulled or have a root canal. I chose extraction because of the cost, she scoffed and explained why it was a bad idea. I know she's 100% right but at the end of the day, its my decision and my money is needed elsewhere at the moment. I could be wrong but it felt like she took my decision personally and the tone of my consult changed completely. Anyway, she booked me in for the following Thursday for the extraction.. Nine days after my visit. Each day after that my toothache got worse and by the Friday, it was excruciating. I rung them on Saturday explaining the situation and pretty much pathetically begged for it to be treated sooner than next Thursday, I was told she'd look into it and get back to me. It didn't happen. Saturday night was horrible, ive had bad toothache before and this was right up there with the worst of them. On Sunday I find Loxo Dental online. Straight away, the receptionist booked me in and four hours later my tooth is extracted. Marcus was literally the best dentist I've come across, and ive unfortunately met quite a few. He's very clear when explaining things and very patient and aware of the patients wellbeing; Ive never had a dentist be more considerate. The whole process was pain free to the point where I didn't know when he'd even done the anesthetic and I also didn't know when he'd extracted the tooth. He was very careful and patient and explained it all well. I can't recommend Loxo enough because comparing it to the 10 or 15 other dentists ive been to, this was by far my best experience. I'm super grateful I found them and wish it was them I'd contacted originally.

Fantastic experience: I had not been to a dentist in years, mostly due in part to immigration and not knowing who I could trust. Well not anymore! I am so pleased to have found the team at Luxo Dental. The dental hygenist I had (Sam) was truly amazing, she took the time to listen to my fears and explain to me what was happening every step of the way. She has a calm and caring approach but also knows her job well. So pleased to have found someone that I know I can trust! Thank you Sam!

Fantastic experience: I chipped my front tooth and I was super worried it would look noticeable if repaired (as it's such a noticeable tooth) but Loxo fit me in right away and did such a job that you can't tell at all, it's amazing how you can't see anything, even though I previously had a chip and a dent. Dentist was kind and understanding. Great cosmetic dental work, highly recommended.

Negative experience: 85 dollars to take a 2sec look and say yes its your wisdom tooth causing your pain, i knew this, i was expecting an xray to say what was happening not you have to go somewhere else and spend another 100 dollars. I had to ask for antibiotics after he told me it was a bacterial infection and just use salt water. Lastly this whole time he was trying his best to convince me to get all 4 removed even though only 1 has ever given me trouble and the rest are coming in straight, no help whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: I went to Loxo Dental for an oral hygiene appointment with Sam, their oral hygienist. She was really lovely and put me at ease immediately. She did an excellent job, and always explained what she was doing while working on my teeth. She was also very understanding of my intolerance to sodium laurel sulfate and made sure to only use products which she knew didn't contain it and even gave me a name of a toothpaste without it. She gave me very good tips on how to take care of my teeth which are really helping. I was really happy with the result and would definitely be returning in the future.

Fantastic experience: What can I say ... this is the best dental treatment EVER .. I had given up on saving my tooth but she performed a miracle and saved my toorh. She is so kind and listened to my fear of losing my tooth but she did save it. Thank you Dr Leah .. and I have to mention this .. you are phenomenal with the injections.
