Fantastic experience: I love coming to Loudon for all my dental needs. The staff are all lovely and very much take good care of you - never judgemental and never make you feel bad about anything. In particular, Cathy my hygienist is the best! Very thorough and kind and love having a good chat to her. She’s awesome and makes the whole experience so easy :)

Fantastic experience: Reception ladies are very nice and always helpful. Dr Gavin is amazing, he has fantastic techniques and a very gentle hand. Dr Gavin helped me do a wisdom tooth extraction, it was fast than I thought. The clinic environment is clean and tidy. And the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend dentist in South Auckland.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hetal Shukla is a very good dentist. Unfortunately she has now gone to Australia. They do have other good dentists though so can recommend.

Negative experience: My recent experience there with reception staff was really lacking. I arrived at my appointment at 10:30am (on time), only to be told my appointment was at 11am. I thought that this was fine and it could've been my bad. While I was waiting for my appointment, another patient showed up for a 10:30am appointment and they told him that no such appointment slot had ever existed. They were incredibly rude and dismissive towards him and once he left, proceeded to gossip and say nasty things about him afterwards. Did the 10:30am slot truly not exist? If it was just me, I would accept my own fault, but two patients on the same day seems like an interesting coincidence. After my appointment was over, I asked for an invoice and needed a referral. I was told that most appointments were paid for on the day in a tone that was quite condescending. I informed her it would be paid for and left. I only found out today that they had not passed on my referral for a surgery since I had not paid for my appointment and would not do so, despite the general industry standard of giving a patient seven days to pay their invoice. I find their behaviour incredibly unprofessional for a medical office and they truly should have more compassion and understanding towards people.

I've reviewed the details from the day of your appointment and can confirm that your booking was correctly made for 11am and the reminder text we sent reflected this. With regards to the other patient you mention, they had mistakenly turned up at the wrong time and were unfortunately quite rude to our staff. They later phoned to apologise for their behavior, which we appreciated.
In regards to what you witnessed afterwards, I want to reassure you that the team was not gossiping. They were taking a moment to talk through the situation. The staff member involved was quite shaken and we do our best to support each other after difficult interactions. I will however remind the team to be mindful of how these conversations may be perceived in shared spaces.
As for payment and your referral, we do ask that appointments are paid for on the day, which is standard practice. I'm sorry if this wasn't communicated as clearly or warmly as it should have been and I appreciate you raising this.
We're always looking for ways to do better, so thanks for sharing your thoughts. Google reviews really matter to small businesses like ours, and I hope this reply has helped clear things up and addressed your concerns.

Fantastic experience: The absolute best! Highly recommend. Dr D’Mello was amazing! She explained every step and ensured I was comfortable the entire time. Even when extracting my tooth she made me feel calm and checked to make sure I wasn’t in any pain. Thank you for the best dental experience! Also her assistant for her welcoming smile & friendly care too. Definitely will be back for any future dental work.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this dental practice for years and I love it. I get rather anxious with needles and Gavin is very patient, kind and puts you right at ease. He lets you know what he's doing, keeping you well informed so no nasty surprises. The hygienists are lovely too. It is very clean and a calming space. I highly recommend making this your dentist.

I've been using Scott for 14 years and find him Professional, concise and helpful. I've had a share of dental issues caused by previous years with other dentists and Scott has solved a few problems for me . Highly recommended

Every visit from our family in the past few years has been outstanding. Every appointment has not only been pain free, but Dr Grant's professionalism, advice, treatment and overall care has been amazing. Other dental practices in South Auckland don't come close. Negative experience: Didn't even acknowledge an email of complaint regarding cross infection control sent 6 months ago. Appalling customer service.

My daughter has bee seeing Gavin after a accident involving her four font adult teeth and Gavins, advise and care has been just outstanding!
