Not only educational with regards to preventative care and strategies for dental care over the long term (explained through visuals - teeth selfies), they made me feel so comfortable that I had 4 deep filings replaced with no anesthetic!! Fantastic experience: Having deferred dental care for longer than I'd care to admit, I have been extremely happy with my decision to enrol with the wonderful team at Pt Chev Dental Centre. The personable, professional and caring approach by the whole team has made visits to the Dentist something that is now (in a way) looked forward to, rather than dreaded. I particularly have enjoyed the clear explanations for the rationale for various treatment decisions, with photographs / Xrays clearly discussed to reinforce messages about best next steps. Would very much recommend to anyone looking for excellent dental care from a small family-run, expert, experienced, and patient centred team.

Fantastic experience: Having booked well in advanced due to my own busy schedules, I turned up to this practice at 09:55 am for my 10:00 am appointment. The previous night I had been up until 04:00 am at Auckland Central ED for unexpected serious Kidney concerns. There was a minor blip in the proceedings today as the owner operators too had some unexpected personal circumstances that needed addressing, and we got underway at 10:30 am, a prompt response to my text asking if my appointment was still happening at 10:00 am was followed up by a phone call advising they were making haste to arrive and offered a very sincere and genuine apology which was nice. I decided to visit this practice because the other dental facility I used to attend (Point Chevalier Family Dentist) located on Great North Road and Carrington Road corner, previously left a bad taste in my mouth, not from their equipment but due to concerning experiences, yes, I went back and regretfully so, namely exploiting patients for financial gain. I strongly recommend this practice for all dental treatment because not only did I receive exceptional service, I also was given great advice for preventative care which I never got from the other dental practice. Pt Chevalier Dental is an owner operator practice run by a husband and wife team, and this shines through with my experience today, I was well looked after, and I was highly impressed with the care, quality and knowledge they have, having been in operation for over 20 years and deciding to find a location for ease of access to disabled clients was also a very heart warming detail to learn. If you need any dental treatment in Point Chevalier this is certainly the ONLY place to go! Believe me, If I could rate this with 6 stars I would. We live in a city that is big and life has it's moments, and sometimes unexpected things occur, but today I felt like the most important person in the room, and this team know how to treat their clients. I've booked in advance again for my next checkup in 6 months and I am looking forward to seeing the team again. Thank you Pt Chevalier Dental for the amazing experience and superb resolution to an unexpected situation. This sets you apart from the rest.

Fantastic experience: The only dentist I’ll ever go to! Dr. Patel genuinely cares about his patients and I always leave stoked with the work done. April is also incredibly kind and funny, which makes the (normally scary) visit nice and relaxed. The time and care that they put into making sure you understand everything that is being done + aftercare is also greatly appreciated. Overall a skilled and lovely team. They took away my phobia of dental work and I couldn’t be happier!

Negative experience: Do not go here. Suresh Patel doesn't know what the client wants and just does whatever without clarifying it's what is being requested. He ground off quite a lot of one of my front teeth and now I can't bite the skin off my lip anymore, which will be an inconvenience for the rest of my life. Also, he is an unfriendly man. My experience with him was not a pleasant one and I will not be going back there. Do yourself a favour and find a dentist who truly cares about his clients and the outcome of the procedure.

Fantastic experience: The whole team at Pt Chev Dental Centre are truely professionals. They were so considerate of my needle phobia as I needed to get a wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Ariana provided me with a stress ball and held my hand during the local numbing process. Dr Suresh performed the extraction in quick fashion and didn’t feel any pain. 10/5 stars highly recommended

My first time here and I will definitely be coming back every single time. My husband has a very extreme fear of the dentist, and they made him feel so calm and helped him with oral sedation. Fantastic experience: Dr Suresh Patel has been my dentist for around twenty years. At the time he took over the practice he stepped in to assist with a root canal filling my previous dentist was having a spot of bother with. He solved the problem impressively in a few minutes and has displayed similar competence with all my dental issues since. In particular I have found his concern and advice about regular maintenance of teeth and gums exemplary, a very important consideration for those of us wishing to preserve our teeth and our health into old age.

Fantastic experience: This was the best dental experience ive ever had! The couple that own it are the coolest down to earth people, so easy to talk to, and are very informative! I went to get a wisdom tooth extraction, and he literally pulled it in under 5 minutes, was so painless, even the injections were painless which is the main thing i hate about dental visits.
