Fantastic experience: Dr Shane and his assistance was awesome.I walked in nervous, scared of injections.In the past I've had bad experiences with rough dentist that I stop going! Dr Shane proved it right with his professionalism,Reinsurance that I was going to be fine.I value what he does, how he fixed up my front teeth, being chip and I never smiled for years when taking photos,now I'm thankful. I will recommend my family, friends and finally ,Thank you so much for your service.

Negative experience: I went in to get a filling on my tooth which is not only crooked and sticking out (they haven't filled it down.) which is causing ulsers on my tongue but they've let the filling solution dry on the roof of my mouth which is causing pain when I tried to mention this to the dentist he told me it was fine. The dentist was doing such a rush job I was booked in for a forty minute appointment was walking out "finished" in ten.

Negative experience: I have been a long term customer (for many years) of Redwood Family Dentists. I lived in the area all my life and 2 years ago I moved about 22kms away to another area. I called and made an appointment all good. I turned up on the day and had to update my details etc which is totally fine. I did this and handed my form back to the admin lady (whom was also Michelle's assistant that day), she then said rudely "why do you come here? You need to find somewhere else, surely there's something closer", "find somewhere and then tell us where you'll be going and we will send through your previous records". Now correct me if I'm wrong, but are you not a business? Dont you want my money?? It literally felt like I was being told not to come back here, even though I've been coming there for easily 15years+. This happened early on in 2024 (a fewmonths ago), however I have been tossing up whether to give feedback or not but I have been stewing on this for sometime now. Its only right now for me to place this feedback and find somewhere else to go, I will be calling in due course once I have found a new dentistry. On a side note I must say Michelle is great, and that is why I had kept going back. She's very informative and overall very pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic experience: This is literally the best experience I have had at a dentist I was freaking out and they were really good and understanding highly recommend

Negative experience: Got a tooth extraction done on Tuesday- & I’ve had extractions before! & the absolute agony I have been in since Tuesday due to how bruised & rough the dentist was getting the tooth out. Spinning a spinning the tooth for 8 minutes straight has caused so much trauma to the area. I have been on 2 500mg Panadols every 4hrs SINCE TUESDAY!!! I have had codeine & I’ve even been in hospital because of the pain. I am pregnant (they knew) surely this amount of Panadol is causing harm to my baby!!! I have an extremely high pain tolerance but this pain tops the cake.

Fantastic experience: Got a teeth check up to find i had a mild infection in my gums. My dental nurses was very lovely along with the lady’s at reception. It was my first time going by myself and they were very welcoming. The ladies doing the work on my teeth had to get into my gums and were constantly telling me how well I was doing and to tell them if I needed a break. I have insane respect for them! They did such a great job on my teeth that I am now so happy to smile with my teeth, (I used to hate too). Thank you Ladies! :)

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this dentist around 10years ago when I moved to chch. Everyone I have seen here through out this time, including reception have all been so lovely. I love that this place has that old school, small town, family dentist feel. Today I seen Bailey for the first time and I'm so happy to have meet her! She was very profesional, knowledgeable and has a very patient calm energy to her! Thanks guys for all your work

Fantastic experience: This has been my dental clinic since I was a child. Even though I am incredibly nervous of the dentist the staff always put me at ease and make me feel comfortable. My dentist is Adrienne and I find her lovely, and extremely knowledgeable. She is very thorough and never makes you feel rushed. I highly recommend this dentist to others as they are not like other dental clinics who force you to have your wisdom teeth removed or any kind of treatment just to get money from you. The prices are reasonable and I have always had a good experience here.

Fantastic experience: I had a appointment with Michelle ling and Sophie would recommend them as I have very severe anxiety I was a mess and they help me get though it thank you again for everything very understanding and help me feel at ease will go back to get treatment done again as they were both very understanding.

Negative experience: iI used to go here for all my dental needs, check ups, filling and cleaning with dr Kelly and she's absolutely amazing but she already moved to Auckland, but Dr Ling the new dentist was so rough and hard, i went last tuesday for my regular dental check up and cleaning, and it only took 3 mins rough and hard teeth cleaning, my gum is so sore after that, and paid $135 deffinitely not coming back again

Negative experience: My partner came here for a filling and check up with Shane and asked about using a community services card which was approved. However they failed to mention the fact that when you have a community services card that they only give you a TEMPORARY FILLING. This was never communicated when making the appointment or during. It was only upon discovering the filling wasn't white that he called and asked about it and ONLY THEN was he told that it was a temporary filling. This is such bad practice and incredibly unprofessional. No apologies either.

Fantastic experience: Redwood Family Dentists were recommended to me after my previous dentist retired. I was looking for a smaller, family orientated dentist where I felt comfortable & not like just another patient. I am more than happy to report that I found it here. Friendly, efficient & reasonable in price I could not be happier with my choice. These guys are awesome.

Negative experience: Initially I was happy with the treatment of my broken tooth. She wanted to remove my old filling ( I didn’t want her to) however I trusted her as the professional. Months later I am in worse and constant pain since then. You basically get what you pay for. Amateur Dentists are the norm it seems these days. I’ve yet to find one as qualified as my old dentist Dr Dorset. And my teeth have been ruined in the last 20 yrs from at least 5 inadequately trained dentists

Positive experience: I had a great experience at Redwood family dentist. I did 4 teeth refilling. Dr. Grace Chen did a great job. She was really talented . The shade of white she used perfectly matches. The fillings are not noticeable at all. But her assistant "Sophie's " duty was not up to the standard. She was not conscious of what she was doing. She didn't care about the doctor either.

Negative experience: They were usually good but damaged my root canal while doing a filling - was never refunded or apologised to

Negative experience: I saw Mary-Clare for the first time and was appalled at the service. During the treatment she spoke over me to her assistant about squeezing blackheads and pimples. Her work was rough, which I had to get corrected elsewhere. Unfortunately she was also more expensive than my periodontist. Maybe 24 years in the same jobs wearing your professionalism thin.

Fantastic experience: The loveliest dental clinic!! Everyone is so kind, friendly and gentle. I don't mind going to the dentist at all anymore!

Fantastic experience: Been my dentist for a few years now but like most haven't been going as often as I should. The original dentist (Clemence) did a fantastic job on repairing my 2 front teeth after they were smashed to bits in a bicycle accident many many years ago and they are still firmly in place ! Rolly has just done some work and I was very impressed. I didn't even feel the needle go in to numb the area !! Past dentists have had me sweating and leg jumping.
