Fantastic experience: Raymond is kind and gentle. He explains things well when discussing what is going on, what your options are, and what he is doing as he does the treatment. He also has a gentle touch, very important for this job , and is respectful to his assistants. Update- saw a different dentist (Sam) last week for an urgent appointment. I had just got out of hospital after open heart surgery and my movement was limited. He managed both my minimal pain tolerance and my movement limitations considerately, and also quickly sorted out my broken tooth.

And the dental assistants, receptionists and hygienists are equally skilled and warm-mannered. If, like me, your school memories of grouchy dental nurses wielding drills that sounded like repurposed concrete mixers has left you somewhat avoidant, or if you prefer a clinic with pleasant receptionists, or if you simply want to know you're going to get top quality dental service, do yourself a favour and head to Smile. Like me, I'm sure you will never regret it. I would never go anywhere else. And I haven't even mentioned the music and ceiling video options to keep you happily distracted!

Fantastic experience: I have had a great relationship with Dr Ray since 2010 (8 years of age) and every time I'm in, he is both good as a practitioner and great to be around. They also have a great system of booking and sending reminders in the fortnight leading up to the appointment.

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient for Ray, whom I booked the night before for an emergency appointment. Ray and Jo, his assistant, were so kind, and patient, and informative. Talking me through all the steps as he went, what was going on, and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. As I said to them on my way out, it was definitely one of the more enjoyable experiences I've had at a dentist. Oliver and Ray are both fantastic.
