Smart Dental Care

Negative experience: Called to ask if they have any emergency appointments left for today and the receptionist barb laughed at me. I don’t actually work in a dentist office so I was unaware all their emergency appointments get snapped up in the mornings. Didn’t need to laugh at me barb, be more professional and do better. Gross

Fantastic experience: Truly amazing experience. I’ve received dental care and cleans in 3 different countries now from a large range of practices, and Catherine Meltzer really blew me away today at my hygiene appt. Up to date evidence-based knowledge, coupled with attention to detail and a very impressive skill set (particularly in terms of mechanical skill on the tooth surface- I.e. very gentle) contributed to a completely painless and even pleasant clean today! No matter where I live in NZ I would fly to Dunedin just to have Catherine attend to my teeth

Fantastic experience: Thanks to genetics I have spent a lot of my life at the dentist. When I first walked through the doors of Smart Dental I wasn't overcome with severe anxiety like I have been in the past. I now look forward to going knowing I am in the best care, things will actually get fixed, and it won't hurt me or my pocket nearly as much as everywhere else I have been. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had many fillings to do, and this wonderful dentist managed to do a whole series in one session that were of high quality and durable! Years later, many fillings from other dentists have failed, but these have done very well. The anesthetic was performed in an excellent manner too, and the whole was as painless and stress free as possible, in fact I would say it was one of the most comfortable of dental surgeries I've had performed on me. I believe the staff seem to go out of their way to do their best, and it really shows. All for a reasonable price. Very grateful! I've got complicated teeth, somewhat, and experiences with many dentists both good and bad. Jo is truly one of the best, thanks again!

You’re amazing at what you do. Friendly, helpful & very nice. Dr Regine Phua the same goes for you, very kind & respectful with great attention to detail. Fantastic experience: I'd had issues a root canal breaking constantly. 4 times in two years. I'd been to two other dentists trying to get it resolved, but it wasn't until I came to Smart Dental that the problem was finally resolved.

Fantastic experience: Jo Lowe at Smart Dental Care is simply the best dentist I have ever been to. I went through three dentists and then the Dental School in attempt to solve severe tooth pain. It wasn't until I went to Jo that the problem got solved simply and quickly. I haven't been to the new premises yet but from the photos I've seen the place looks to be much more much more in keeping with the professional and caring style of the team at Smart Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I'm keen to keep my teeth for as long as I can because I was always scared of my grandfathers false teeth. At Smart Dental I have more confidence than anywhere else that the false teeth will have a long time to wait because the team are focussed on planning for my current as well as continuing dental health in a very thorough way. Highly recommended if you want gentle quality care (and I've been to a few dentists).
