Fantastic experience: Wonderful dental practice. All the dentists are great including a part timer called Bill. Very happy with my treatment.

Negative experience: Update on the review below, a downgrade from 2 stars to 1.. Because the extraction went well I contacted them again to give them another chance despite their god awful management and customer treatment. However because of my original Google review and subsequent complaint to the DHB I discovered they had blacklisted me and refused to take me in at all. So the original complaint may be escalated beyond the DHB and this review has been updated for you to use in your decision making. Here's the original review: Great dentist, shocking admin staff. First visit was excellent, booked in next day for urgent treatment, done perfectly. I postponed the next non urgent check up because it wasn't necessary, plenty of notice, something they agreed to do at the time of booking it. Then something did come up that was important. They decided to to put my urgent booking out a month -then tell me they would try to slot appt in where possible, all the time planning to do no such thing. When I rang back after 2/3 weeks to remind them it was urgent, they said they would not take me in and literally said yes to the reason being "vengeance" for me as postponing my checkup. (Voice file available.. Of course they could have slotted me in, but without telling me they decided to not do that, knowing my situation was worsening and they didn't care, they just wanted to teach me a lesson for postponing) Now, 2/3 weeks of time has gone by waiting and the situation has worsened. Now I have to find a dentist with integrity and fast. I think Megan was her name. She has refused to send my client data in a timely fashion which creates a further problem. Cannot wait to find a better quality dentist in Hastings than this unprofessional outfit. If root canal surgery by another dentist is required as a result of this unprofessional behaviour, they will have to deal with the consequences of that if it happens.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend Dental@105! The team completely exceeded my expectations in all aspects. From the moment I walked in to leaving as one happy customer. Getting dentistry can be daunting and if you are anything like me.. my nerves play up on me before a dentist appointment. I walked in and was instantly greeted with smiles from the reception staff and managed to get some laughs in with them before my appointment, my dentist is second to none! He made me feel completely at ease and managed to save my tooth that I thought I’d have to have extracted. This was a painless, comforting experience. Before leaving, I needed to book in for another appointment.. the reception staff are extremely efficient and managed to get me in at a time that worked for me. If you are after a Dental Practice that truly cares about their customers and makes your visit a pleasant experience with some laughs go to Dental@105! I look forward to my next check up!

Negative experience: Dental@105 Hastings is the worst dentist I have ever encountered-matched only by their rude and dismissive staff. Do not use this appalling dentist!!!

Fantastic experience: Ian and his team are totally switched on to the issues of stressed patients like myself. It scares the heck out of me knowing I have to go but Ian is an absolute master of creating a calming experience and always asks about my family which is very nice.. He is a true gentleman and feel very lucky to be one of their customers.

Fantastic experience: Freaking amazing dental clinic, even better if you end up getting Kris Sweetapple. First came here for a emergency tooth extraction on the same day I rang n ask. Got it out n he did explain to me that I need a bit of work which I then went back later on and got it done. Everything was explain and they gave enough time between each appointments to make sure I wasn't in any discomfort before performing anything else. Just overall a great experience which can be hard to find because some places just rush the job to get through more clients.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment here today,1st timer.. I was in pain and they managed to squeeze me in a day after I put my request in online. When I got there,the staff were absolutely lovely. Gunilla was my dental surgeon and Jo was her assistant. Such lovely and kind professional ladies,looked after me well.I Will be going back for more work. Thank you staff at Dental105.

Fantastic experience: I am new in Hawke's Bay and have a mouthful of problematic teeth. Visited a couple of other dentists before but none to write home about. Recently I had an episode of severe gum and teeth pains over the Christmas holiday. I googled and found this practice. Requested an appointment online and was given an appointment on the second day since they reopen after the holiday. Gunilla Karlson was my dentist. She looked young to me which got me a bit worried. However, as soon as we talked I knew I was in good hands. She listened patiently and sympathetically to my story of my pains, but wasted no time in executing a number of testing measures. Very soon she confidently shared her diagnosis with me, which was very different from what I thought, but very convincing with all the precise and clear explanation of what's happening and why I experienced those pains. She offered two solutions with clear pro's and cons, and let me discussed with my husband and we went with one of these, which was root canal treatment. My pains stopped on the afternoon of the treatment. Gunilla came across as a very professional, highly capable and caring dentist. I don't think one can find anyone better than her for a dentist. I consider myself very lucky to have found her, and at the risk of making my future appointments with her more difficult, I would like to recommend her to anyone who wants and needs an excellent dentist

Fantastic experience: Ian has been my dentist for as at least 27 years, and it is a joy to see him each time. Ian is not only a great dentist, he is a wonderful person who takes a genuine interest in his patients. Thank you Ian, from Brendan (Heather and Micheal's son).

Fantastic experience: I dont know what it is about this place but everyone who works there is so nice. For a place you go to get your teeth drilled, grinded and yanked on, every visit is a pleasure and would reccomend to anybody

Positive experience: Was well looked after by Nick before he moved on his his own practice.. as with any dental practice it's not cheap but you are made to feel welcome and comfortable. And that totally helps make up for the cost. Property is tidy,modern and somewhat inviting. Has small carpark to provide off-street parking
