Fantastic experience: Visiting from Australia and desperately needed my shellac removed and re done. Booked a manicure same day, which was slightly pricier than back home but well worth it!! I had June as my technician and she was lovely, paid great attention to detail in the length and shape and checked in with me to see if I was happy with it. The colour I wanted wasn’t on the examples but the girls suggested 2 different polishes that came out to the exact colour I wanted. I left the salon and realised the edges of my nails weren’t completely cured so I went back and they re did the top coat completely, free of charge. Very impressed with this salon, wish I had one like this in Aus.

Negative experience: Tahuna Beauty Spa Queenstown I came in on the 5th of June, two weeks ago now. I spent what I thought was a very high price- $140 for simple but very pretty gel tip extensions- one colour, 2 charms, one on each ring finger. the salon took a photo of them at the end even. within 6 hours, the bow charm on one of the nails popped off completely on its own. We went back in the next day to try get it fixed, had to wait 30 minutes for someone who could talk to us, as well as when we asked about a refund was told no one was there that could provide that at this time. in regards to the bow charm repair, we were told we would have to wait 40 minutes for someone to do it. When we decided to sit in the waiting area, they were suddenly able to do it in less than three minutes while the only other client was under the lamp. The charms were both secured, and I went on my way. Until I was at work and the same nail as before popped entirely off. There was very little strain on the nail causing it to do this, it was right at the beginning of my night, I have photo evidence for this. Thankfully i was able to glue it back on temporarily using false nails glue from a friend. a couple days later but within the 7 day insurance policy, we went back in to discuss the damage and ask for a refund for the second time. We were told the soonest it could be fixed was the next morning, which didn’t work for us as we were leaving Queenstown shortly after. And we were once again dodged when asked about a refund. I ended up flying back home missing one nail after only having the set for under a week, and as of writing this now, i have lost all of the nails on my right hand. My left hand is holding up beautifully, and I am really disappointed with the customer service in particular because the nails themselves are so beautiful, and the girl that did them was really sweet. But the retention rate is absolutely inexcusable for that price. My nails didn’t get a chance to grow out in the slightest.

Positive experience: I loved the girls They were always very friendly, always remembered me and easy chatting, good service quality and pricing. They new what onwas gonna get, and what I am gonna do, and what artist I wanna have. I had been going there for two years, without fail, and I had an emergency hospital incident so I couldn't go to one appointment and they actually said they were gonna have to charge me the 50% and would only charge 30% if I could prove that I am actually in the hospital... I was very sad to hear this... They do a great job, but I didn't feel the appreciation after all that time.

Fantastic experience: I came here to get my nails done for my wedding. My husband came here to get his nails cleaned up. We had a really nice time and the ladies doing my nails did such a wonderful job. They were all so sweet and kind and they all got so excited and we chatted about wedding stuff the whole time. They were an absolute delight. We both had a lovely time and will definitely come back when we're in QT next.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! The ladies working there are all so lovely, and I was so happy with my manicure and pedicure! My mum came with me as well for a pedicure, they managed to squeeze her in last minute and she was equally as impressed. Would highly recommend! Thanks Ladies :)

Negative experience: I had eyelash extensions put in here 8 days ago and I can confidently say that this is one of the more disappointing services I have ever received. The appointment was 30mins late with no explanation of why, the lady was extremely rough when putting in the extensions and pulled out multiple of my natural eyelashes. When the treatment finished I was happy with how they looked but was charged a ridiculously high price for the quality. I work in the beauty industry and have had multiple eyelash treatments in the past, but these immediately started falling out despite following the correct aftercare. Now 8 days later, all of the extensions have fallen out. Would not recommend getting this treatment at this salon.

Fantastic experience: I booked a massage, eyebrow shaping, and pedicure for my mum and a simple toenail trim for my dad as part of their anniversary trip. My dad was reluctant at first, but within seconds, he was completely at ease. Mum’s brows were perfectly shaped, and her pedicure left her feet feeling brand new. Even my dad, who never bothers with this kind of thing, was blown away by how good his feet felt after a simple trim. The staff were incredible—friendly, professional, and absolute perfectionists. Tahuna Beauty didn’t just meet expectations—they exceeded them. If you’re in Queenstown, don’t think twice—just book!

Negative experience: I had a pedicure here early January whilst on holiday. It was the second time I had been to Tahuna Nails. The first time I was kept waiting around 20 minutes and this time I was waiting over 35 (I had booked both times). To my surprise at the end of the pedicure I was charged $149, which is absolutely disgusting and it was nothing special. Tourists be ware.

Negative experience: Maybe it was an off day. When the 3 of us arrived at 9am for our appointments we were told at length that we had not booked properly. (We had booked over the phone 24 hours before). We all had booked mani/pedis. We were told it was our fault they didn’t have time. Then my cuticles were cut and bleeding on 2 fingers and 2 toes. No apology or anything - just bleeding. No soaking of my feet before clipping and cutting my cuticles. They seemed very stressed about their busy day and not having time for us. We were the only ones there. Just a poor experience all around.

Fantastic experience: Made a last minute booking on new years eve and they quickly made time for me, not only that, even though they were busy, they still accepted my request to do french tips. Really loved the outcome. Thank you so much! Definitely going back again!

Fantastic experience: I’m on holiday and managed to snap a nail and crack another and usually I am terrified to try new salons as they can go so wrong… it also takes me a lot to write a review … I walked in and was greeted with such a warm welcome and the lady that did my acrylics was the most beautiful, friendly and careful artist. She repaired them perfectly and took her time to ensure they were immaculate. Everyone there was so inviting and were genuinely interested to listen and converse with you. If I could give this salon more than 5 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Tahuna Beauty Spa! I had to have my lashes and nails re-filled prior to my elopement and Tahuna were amazing. I found back to back appointments online for classic las refill and BIAB nail refill and both technicians were awesome. They were super nice and made me feel right at home, they chatted with me about my current situation and helped me make choices on lash lengths and nail colors. The lash room is private, so you can have a little sleep and not worry! The salon is super clean, and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Tahuna!

Fantastic experience: I was in Queenstown for two days and happened to walk past Tahuna Beauty Spa. I was booked in for a basic facial within two hours, which gave me plenty of time to browse the shops and have lunch. I was super happy! Very professional and pleasant. I also got some helpful tips for my skincare routine. I had a great time and would come back any time if I didn't live so far away! Greetings from Germany!

Fantastic experience: The staff were very nice and looked after all our needs. The massage was amazing and the staff made sure any requests we had were taken into account when conducting our massage. They were very receptive and careful with the pressure and points of the massage. The massage included warm towels to keep our bodies warm, whilst also having heated towels to ensure the oil was well removed by the end of the massage. Would very much recommend! Good value for the money you spend and the service makes it very much worth it.

Fantastic experience: Hanna and her team provided nail services for my wedding in January for both myself my two bridesmaids. We all agreed that it was the most exceptional manicure and pedicure experience we had ever had. The attention to detail and dedication ensured that our nails looked perfect for the day. In the week leading up to the wedding, my natural nails all broke due to their brittleness from extended SNS use. I wanted a natural appearance for the day without excessive length, and was concerned that extensions might appear unnatural. Hanna convinced me to try out BIAB and applied the perfect natural looking extensions. There were no faults in my nails, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the final outcome! The manicure is still going strong over two weeks later. Big thanks to Hanna and the team, you guys are truly the best! Looking forward to visiting again when I’m in QT next.

Fantastic experience: I received the most amazing shellac manicure here while travelling. I have never had such clean and even edges. I wish I had caught the name of the girl who did my nails (she was from South Korea) - she was a perfectionist in the best way and so careful with every aspect of the service. A tad more pricey but absolutely worth it. I wish I lived in Queenstown as this would be my local!

My nails can be quite weak and dry and they always pay great attention to detail and provide a great service. I get so many compliments on my nails! Negative experience: Avoid. They ignore basic instructions about existing injuries and cause further damage. Wasted our only opportunity for a massage just to be hurt by someone who "forgot' instructions. Booked a couples deep tissue massage for after a multiday tramp/hike. Informed masseuse that I had severe blisters on my heels. She left the room for 10 minutes and I had to go find them wearing a towel. The massuse grabbed hold of my heels and shoved down hard - despite having been told that I did not want to be touched on my heels and to be careful of my heels and ankles. Many excuses were made about them being busy and having to take phone calls. Managed to get a refund but it was issued as a cancellation so we could not leave a verified review with bookme. And then they called me at 9 pm to try to get me to remove this review...

Negative experience: Completely ruined a couples massage by having a masseuse grabbing my partner's severely blistered heels that they had been made aware of. Only offered a refund, no compensation for wasted time, pain or high amounts of stress. Just wanted to offer excuses about being busy. Absolutely appalling

Negative experience: - Disappointing for the price. Will not be returning. They kept hitting/cutting my cuticles with the tools which made 3 fingers bleed and scab. I ended up telling the lady to take her time so she would stop making those errors with gel removal. The gel nail job itself left my nails different lengths, and without a smooth finish as the nails weren’t filed properly. Maybe the lady doing my nails were in training but there was no supervision and it wasn’t communicated.

Negative experience: It was lovely who did my nails. I paid $149 for my nails but it suddenly came off so I went back to get it done again and when I went to the casino my pinky nail came off. It is better to do my nails myself, the service was good but the quality is so bad.

Negative experience: Very dissapointed with the quality and regard for the r safety when using chemicals in this establishment. My Inlaws visited and one was burnt from chemicals with no discount in service due to the chemical burn. Just a sorry for the delay for the oversight. Service shouldve been free of charge.

Fantastic experience: I got a manicure done by Hannah for my wedding, and it was the best manicure I’ve ever received! She was so helpful with helping me pick an appropriate colour, and made sure I was 100% with the snap and length. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Negative experience: Whilst my nails came out ok but they were originally a mess so wasn't expecting much, my mum had a terrible experience. The lady who did hers was rough, and rushed, and cut her cuticles back so much 4 of her nails were bleeding for a couple of days. Hers were rushed and finished in half the time as mine. I don't usually come on here to write reviews but I emailed the salon with no reply so here I am. Disappointed with service.

Fantastic experience: Had a massage and then gel nail polish applied. The manicure was the best I have ever had. Incredibly well shaped nails, cuticles buffed away with the dremel (not cut off with cuticle snips as other places do) and the gel polish was expertly applied with none on finger skin. The gel polish was great quality and lasted weeks and weeks with no chipping or marks. Best manicure! I'll definitely go back when I'm in Queenstown next!

Positive experience: Had my feet done when I was in holiday. Pleasant girl did a nice job on the gel polish but did manage to cut my toe whilst doing my cuticles and then put alcohol on it to stop it bleeding . And I got charged $129.00 for a pedicure. Probably cost $60 anywhere else in the country . Queenstown, why do you think you are so special. Charging NZ citizens international prices when we are all just trying to help. Shocking.

Negative experience: Got my nails done. The tech cut my skin on my thumb and ring finger. Started bleeding and tried cleaning it with nail polish remover or some sort. Stinged the hell but I'm not a person to complain but had to now since the sore on both thumb and ring finger still hurting like hell. Nail polish turned out great though but the pain

Negative experience: My wife had a booking a surprise gift from friends for her 50th.We rocked up 15 minutes prior as instructed and the salon was closed ,waited 20 minutes and no one arrived.We then rang the number got the answer phone so we left a message with our number.Two days later we went back as we had had no contact at 4:30 (the web site said there open till 7pm )and the shop was locked but there were 2 staff inside who reluctantly were convicted to open the door to talk to us ."Oh the girl was ill you'll get a refund " was about all we got no apologies just a wooh is me I've had to cover them today to.This was a book me deal that we are still fighting to get a refund from 3 weeks later. Poor Queenstown support there struggling business s they say and this is the unprofessional service you get .

Negative experience: Was good customer service and very friendly but the end result of my nails were poorly done due to the length all being done different and the paint job being bad and for the price I was very disappointed on my queenstown get away I would have rather done them in Auckland for half the price.

Negative experience: Don't go to this place. The quality is very bad. I did gel nails and after less than a week start to getting off. I come back they fixed them and again they comes off. I come back 3 times. I just asked for a refund and they told me I need to wait because they are busy. They said my nails are week. But that's not true because I did my nails before in another place and they were perfect for 1 month. I am very disappointed with this place!

Fantastic experience: I’ve come here a few times to do my acrylic nails, and I’ve always been very happy with the result! The staff is from South Korea and very friendly. Compared to other nail studios in Queenstown, the price for acrylic nails are cheap here!

Negative experience: Lovely staff and salon but hands down the most expensive and also the worst manicure I have ever had. My nail beds have all been left red raw from over buffing and cuticle cutting and one was cut so close it bled during the manicure. My manicurist rubbed cuticle oil in before the shellac had properly set and on checking my nails properly after I left the salon I realised this had smeared off the top coat on some of my nails. Cost was $75 (which included a ridiculous $20 for shellac removal, normally I pay $5-$10 for this).
