Cole Nicholas Periodontics & Implants

Fantastic experience: Based on my experiences over the last few months, I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Cole. After several oral maxillofacial surgeons had refused my case owing to the risks involved, Dr Cole was the only dental surgeon I was able to locate (in Auckland) who was willing and competent enough to operate. He provided me with 2 generous (late evening) phone consultations prior to surgery, to ensure he understood all key details, and that we were on the same page. This was very impressive and reassuring. On the day of my surgery, he was very welcoming and congenial, with a genuine and caring nature. I have been exposed to more than enough dental surgery over the years to recognise that his surgical skills are superb and thoroughly outstanding. He managed the extraction of my troublesome ceramic implant with great care and expertise, and he was most meticulous with all the surgical steps. As a result, I had zero bleeding post-surgery and did not require any pain relief meds that afternoon or night. I owe a very high debt of gratitude to Dr Cole and would always turn to him first, for any future dental surgery.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Poppy as I have periodontal issues. I’ve had some terrible experiences in the past that made me nervous about having more. Poppy was amazing. If you’ve had the same terrible experience, it doesn’t need to be that way you need Poppy :) Thanks so much.

Negative experience: Dreadful front desk staff - Jenny. Rude, condescending, then when you call her out on her awful behaviour, she argues back and gaslights!!! Complain to the Periodontists about her behaviour and it’s 100% ignored!!! I guess they don’t care about customer service at the front end, they’re obviously making too much money. Much nicer treatment from other Periodontists in the area, don’t waste your time or money here.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Poppy by my dentist . I had a very unusual problem that required ingenuity, precision and patience. Poppy deliberated with the senior periodontist, and gave me all my options , and did a great job on my tooth. She was very kind, honest and encouraging in all appointments. She has gone the extra mile for me, without charging me for her extra time. I really appreciate the wonderful care she has given me.

I call on him whenever I have a problem and have always been delighted with the result. All members of the team are supportive and kind, and I have always felt well looked after. Negative experience: No flexibility for appointment time to remove stitches despite me saying I couldn’t make the time. I made a huge effort to make the appt, but they then let the person behind me jump the queue. No apologies or anything.

Positive experience: Excellent periodontics specialists. Good parking off Street too.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Nicholas Cole by my well respected dental specialists in Melbourne. Dr Cole was very friendly and sorted out my dental problems in no time. Even taught me how to floss the teeth properly. Would highly recommend Dr Nicholas Cole.

Negative experience: How disappointing. Unfortunately their exorbitant charges are exceeded by a complete lack of professionalism and a cavalier superior attitude towards service delivery. I am sorry but I cannot recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: After my first visit I was told Dr Cole will get back to me with costs and how to proceed with my situation. 3 weeks later I've got no reply, so I've emailed, 1 week later still not reply, I've sent a text to his phone, still no reply. Then I've emailed the receptionist, finally Dr Cole replied, 1 month after my first consultation. In the email he mentioned to contact for pricing a certain dentist, I've contacted that dentist, to only find out that I am talking to a wrong person, because as it turned out, Dr Cole simply mixed up my dentists, and referred me to the wrong person. Trying to make an appointment for the procedure at Dr Cole's, his first available appointment is 1.5 month later. Ok, I wait. The day before I get a text from the receptionist, confirming my appointment for tomorrow, I reply yes I will be there. When I come to the appointment, Dr Cole says to me - I'm sorry, I don't have the tools, have you brought them with you? So I've got a confirmation so I can go to an appointment, only to hear that he has no tools to do his job. And instead of admitting his lack of preparation, he started blaming the dentist that I was going to. Dr Cole said he will call me tomorrow to sort this out. 3 Weeks have passed and no call. It's rather obvious that Dr Cole doesn't treat his patients seriously. I've only wasted money for a consultation and 2.5 months of waiting time for nothing but disappointment.
